Upton

Great, along with Ross we get a fascist and a lightweight.

KGO, may not be local, but that's where I'm going.

Duffman

"KVI: 6-9p (or longer) commentary with John Carlson, Ken Schram, Carleen Johnson; Kirby Wilbur"

Oh God...PLEASE NO!!!

Duffman

CNN reporting..."Huckabee wins W.Va.
The first Super Tuesday results are in, and CNN is projecting that Mike Huckabee will win the West Virginia GOP convention. Republicans in the state hold a convention rather than the more usual primary or caucuses. In all, 24 states are holding primaries or caucuses today"

murky

will luke let Dave talk?
will dori talk about football?
who cares? with a line-up like that, I'm going to NPR.

Gonefishing

Worse yet will Kiro bring on Carl Jeffers and will he let anybody talk....

With TBTL and Luke will we be getting sound effects.... I mean commoooon I start with "yawnnnnn"

Bryan Styble

Why this blog has been especially unfair to Frank Shiers's KIRO work:

"Shires Shines (A Minor Tribute" at

www.RadioctiveSeattle.blogspot.com

not a dude

Dude, no wonder you lost your job at kiro, you keep repeating the same shit over and over.

sparky

Good idea Upton..KGO will offer up to the minute results from the California polls.

DT

Dori said he was going to talk about some cunt who wrote him an email bashing him for "being against the poor." I'm trying to find it on his podcasts today. Did he read the email? And if so, which hour was it in?

DT

Bryan, this is what I told NY Vinnie. Have some self-respect and dignity. It's pathetic when fired hosts post here. Why do you come to this place? It's a glorified chatroom. Why on earth would you care what people on a blog, of all places, think? Half these people have only a HS education. I can tell by their writing. Why would you care what those kind of people think?

Duffman

DT: those last two posts didn't seem like you, were they?

Sclub

Luke can break in with bowling alley and wedding updates.

KPLU-FM (88.5) Tacoma is also going wall-to-wall with NPR coverage from 5pm to midnight tonight, for those who can't get KPLU-FM well.

Seattlenerd

Strike those last few words and replace with, "...can't get KUOW-FM well." Damned multitasking.

sparky

As of 10:10 pm PST
Obama wins 13 states, Hillary wins 8
Huckabee is still in it too.

Congrats to Bryan Suits for a yeomen's job hosting a marathon 5-hour KFI election special tonight. I started listening to TBTL but switched to the KFI stream as soon as the karate kick sound effects started on NewsTalk 710 KIRO. It was also a bit disheartening in the part of TBTL I heard in that Luke usually has Jen to laugh at all his jokes but she wasn't on the mic tonight and Dori and Dave didn't laugh at anything he said so the jokes felt a bit flatter than usual.

Banquo

They should have had Medved for a broader POV, and some depth. Birdbank brought it down to his level.

merck

After last night, I give up on local radio for stuff like election coverage. It was so bad, instead of going between KVI and KIRO like I usually do, I ended up leaving it on NPR. Luke always wants to bring it all back to himself, and not even the egotistical brat Dori could keep him from doing it.

coiler

NBC is reporting that Obama picked up more delegates last night which would put him over Clinton. She needed more states last night besides NY and Calif to thwart off Barrack. I can live with him stomping Mc Cain's nuts.

Gay Gary

No kidding. After 15 minutes of KIRO I thought it was Luke running for President. At one point, after some wisecrack, Dave or Dori - I can't recall which - said "Was I supposed to laugh at that?", which was the one laugh I actually got.

I would be content to just not listen to TBTL and leave it at that but he does all these inane liners during Dave and Dori's shows that are so aggravating. I think they're supposed to be quick little self-deprecating quips which is fine, great, but he reads them with this barely suppressed giggle as though he's just cracked a champagne bottle against the hull of the SS Hilarity.

Tommy008

it was fun to see Dori impersonating a grown-up last night on the election roundtable.

Public Radio Fan

KPLU also carried NPR's coverage and had a rather upbeat, pleasant local announcer - who was also nice enough to acknowledge the jazz would begin at midnight.
