Effective immediately, KTTH weekdaily morning show, Sytman & Boze has been dropped and Glenn Beck will be inserted live into the 6-9a slot.
A note on Dan Sytman's website says:
Being the ridiculously blessed person that I am, I have a little extra time off this November. I hope to talk with you soon. In the meantime I'll leave you with my favorite quote from President Ronald Reagan: Life is one grand, sweet song, so start the music."
David Boze will host his own drive-time show from 3-6p. Brilliantly, it's to be called, The David Boze Show.
"We’ve been very impressed with David’s performance and with Glenn Beck’s show," Said Program Director Rod Arquette in a statement, "This change allows us to air the Beck show live in morning drive and provide live, local, conservative talk with David in the afternoon. David has the ability to really connect with his listeners and brings a unique perspective to some of the more compelling local and national issues.
Another casualty of the Holiday massacre is Teresa Joy, the snide early morning newsreader.
Sytman was a longtime producer for the Michael Medved Show, and had a weekend show on KTTH before doing the team-up with Boze in 2005 replacing Mike Siegel.
time for the Glen Beck picture, Bla'M!!

The meteoric rise of Glenn Beck is astounding. His personal story unfolds like a TV movie. Beck is a local boy from Bellingham who made good. Beck's mom committed suicide when he was 13, and subsequently both of his brothers committed suicide. Beck himself is a recovering alcoholic. At the tender age of 43, Becks radio show boasts an astounding 4 million listeners. For his hard work and success, Glenn Beck was just rewarded a mind boggling $50 million contract over 5 years. WOW... only in America.

I can relate to Beck's mother.
I am just wondering what Boze will be doing to compete with the commentators, and Ron & Don?

Glad to hear that Boze is still on. I think he will do well against KVI, KIRO and KPTK. I was not really a Sytmann fan - his talent would probably be better served behind the scenes. Beck- yawn ! Morning radio - think I'll listen more to KJZZ then.

I still miss Mike Siegel.
Sytman sounded like a nice enough guy, only long-winded and pedantic.

Now, if Sytman were more like "Randi Rhodes", he might still be broadcasting.

They're both losers, Sytman and Boze. Sytman was a Medved wannabe and a clever by half know it all. Boze is a hard nose polar bear who doesn't know how big his feet are. they are both small town and tiresome.

Wow! Boze or Ron and Dan...?
What a great choice for the intellectual city they call Seattle!

Talk about 'reading' the 'talking points'!! ...and it was a good thing she had the podium in front of her so didn't fall flat on her face!

I've been insulting Sytman on this site for years. I've been saying for ages that saying Boze doesn't need the smartypants, obnoxious sidekick to carry his show. Sytman's pampered brat upbringing on Mercer Island has, ironically, made him damaged goods for onair employment. He can't escape his "we're simply better than the rest" upbringing, which gives him his arrogant, obnoxious presence that turns people off bigtime.

TRUTH=liberal talking points.
Yep. :)
Posted by: joanie | November 17, 2007 at 10:26 AM
Teresa Joy's sarcastic news reading with Sytman's snide take was enough to drive me, a conservative guy over to Kirby- until they went religious.
Why do conservatives have to be against everything? I hope Bose will be more positive and give solutions to problems, instead of this constant tearing down.

Why do these corporations always fire so many people at the holiday season?
Happy Thanksgiving, guys- PS, you're fired. Nice.

I can't listen to Boze, I listen to Rachel Maddow, the best show on radio--she's a Doctor!.
Posted by: Michael Manfredi | November 17, 2007 at 11:13 AM
Rachel Maddow is on the rise. She will land her own nationally syndicated TV talk show if she makes two simple changes to her appearance. Maddow is good looking enough to pass for a lipstick lesbian. She needs to tone down the 'butch' look. She needs to "get her hurr did" and wear feminine clothing. It will make Maddow an instant media superstar.

Rachel seems to be somewhere on TV every day. I doubt she will change her appearance for TV, I don't think she'll have to. Ellen certainly didn't, and she is wildly successful on mainstream TV.

abob, you show your age. You have a really pedestrian take on things . . . very, very obsolete. I find it interesting. Almost like you haven't blogged much . . . you gotta get with it, my dear man.

I LOVE Dan Sytman- He is hilarious! I was in shock this morning. Maybe a little warning! Dave is okay but I really listened for Dan. How sad!

What a disappointment to learn that Dan & Dave are no longer the 'morning team' that's kept me entertained for the last couple years! Many mornings I've arrived at work still laughing from their rare sense of humor! Their unique styles complimented each other... Dan being the funnier of the two. I've enjoyed Glenn Beck during my drive home each day, but need the liveliness of Dan & Dave for the early morning hour! What a loss... One wonders why the plan to cancel was kept 'secret'.

Me too, I loved Dan. There's something very sexy about a nebbisher Jewish know-it-all. I love them so much, I married one. He's great in the sack and brings home the gold with Trivial Pursuit! I don't think David can make it without Dan.

After declaring "three letter" talk radio (KVI) dead, KTTH has managed to resusitate and breath new life back into KVI's morning line-up. I'm sorry KTTH, I am not amorning person. When I get up at 5:00am in the morning all blearied eye'd to go to work, I relied on the lively banter of sytman, boze, and joy to wake me up. I also liked hearing local Seattle issues being talked about. I also used the bottom and top of the hour news breaks as my personal alarms to prompt me to get the lead out and get my tired bleary-eyed butt dressed and off to work. Beck has none of that. Kirby Wilber and company on KVI does have that. I hope your new morning line up works for you KTTH, because it isn't going to work for me. Carlson and Shram have the banter in the afternoons, Boze does not. I love KTTH otherwise, someone please notify when they have sent the idiot they have as a program director the way of sytman and joy.
