Don Imus is coming back on the radio-yo!
Imus in the Morning will air Dec.3 on New York's WABC, and more stations are sure to follow.
And speaking of 'ho's... Drudge reports that Imus has signed an eight-figure, multi-year contract with WABC’s parent company Citadel Broadcasting.
With the kind of booty the cadaverous old racist makes when he shakes his booty, you better believe his peeps wouldn't be keeping him off the street for long.
An unnamed source told Drudge: "We'll have him on a standard 40-second delay. Don is rested, humbled, and ready for war!"
(He reportedly is itchin' to go after Hillary, whom he hates after her appearance with the slurred Rutgers girls. That'd be fun to watch- sorta like King Kong vs. Godzilla).
The comeback follows Imus’s firing by CBS and MSNBC after his comments last Spring regarding the Rutgers University women’s basketball team.
We guess he shouldn't be punished forever for his "mistake," but it looks like he'll phoenix-up and out of the ashes of his "humbling," even richer and more famous.
You can bet his first week back will be covered wall-to-wall on the Tee Vee and by the MSM chattering classes. Hell, who'd wanna miss such a thing? It's history!
Making racism pay- it's an old story and a great gig.
It amazes us at how much time we spend reporting and taking Great Umbrage. Seems there's always a rotating cast of inappropriate, racist, slurring media buffoons such as Billo, Coulter, and Rush who take turns talking trash for promotion, free vacations, and ratings. A rogue wave so foul from such as Imus can swamp the airwaves for10 days with the clucks and recriminations of the professional umbrage-takers like Al Shrapton, Sean Hannity or Laura Ingraham (KKOL, m-f, 6-9a).
Then MoveOn runs an ad or Barack Obama's Old Glory lapel pin turns up missing, or Bill Maher lets slip something that demeans the troops or Mother Theresa, and here we go again... to be followed by the pro forma chorus of demands for apologies, resignations or seppaku.
An exciting cross marketing inspired by the I-Man is Kick Ass Pictures' epic adult film, Nappy Headed Ho's. (see above image) that, according to the promotions department, "stars girls with closely twisted or curled hair (the dictionary definition of 'nappy'), who have sex for money (the dictionary definition of 'ho'). It features seven sex scenes and has a running time of over two hours!" Plus, it's an equal opportunity employer and proceeds are alleged to go to Don Imus's pension fund.
Our favorite Holy Ho', Ann Coulter's been out and about lately stirring up the snide shitstorm she always does when she's publicizing a new book.
(She serviced Dori Monson, the Most Popular Talk Host in Seattle, on his show (KIRO m-f, 12-3p) two days in a row last week. He's attracted to her because she dares say the naughty, naughty things even he wouldn't say. The two together are like a couple of adolescent boyz out behind the garage smoking cigarettes and smirking when they say the word "vagina.")
It's tiresome, but 1000's of hours of talk radio must be filled, and the voracious 24-hour newshole must be sated! (Apparently there's not enough kidnaped teenage rape victims to fill it).
We're not easily outraged around here. (Actually, we've said a few things ourselves over the years that have invoked the sniffy-sniff of the Great Umbrage-takers).
But it's a shame, though, that talk radio listeners are being lulled into thinking these calculated screeches are actual issues. Every hour that Billo spends talking about how something Al Sharpton said about him effects himself, is, well, another hour spent talking about... himself.
Which may not be bad for book sales and ratings, but it sure pimps out the Republic, and dumbs down an already brain dead info-tainnment media.
All the Imus critics and fans will be glued to the radio when he returns on Dec 3rd. The sanctimonious hypocrites condemn Imus publicly and laugh their ass off at his jokes privately.

Good for Imus. I'm glad he's coming back. But we need to get rid of the double standard. Either everyone who makes offensive statements needs to be fired, or no one does.

Ah, but it's what the market wants, Michael. What does that say about the market? The more uncivil, the more it sells.
And regarding Imus - is anybody surprised?
And you're probably right, DT: thugs on the right should be met with thugs on the left. Simple isn't it?

"And you're probably right, DT: thugs on the right should be met with thugs on the left. Simple isn't it?"
Alas, you just portrayed our US Congress! [At least the way they've been operating or NOT-operating lately]

I have also heard the quote - "Being liberal means you never have to say you're sorry" (Dennis Praeger), which I haven't seen much over here that refutes that. Sorry if I offended any liberals, even though those liberals don't display remorse about offending those who are perceived to be Republican or conservative.
With that said, it will be good to hear Imus again. I happen to like his irreverence as long as he doesn't go overboard.

Woah, what a laugh. Cons/Repugs have a lot more to apologize for. You can't even beging to compare the two. What has a liberal done wrong lately that could compare to the Iraq war, deficit and pork barrel spending?
Posted by: Andrew | October 16, 2007 at 09:02 PM
Sorry I just realized the poster was only addressing radio hosts, but in that light, when a radio host has as many ears as Imus they are held to a different standard than a radio host with a tiny fraction of that listenership. If you deny that fact then you're divorced from reality. You have your head in the sand.
An openly racist radio host can have his talk show, but it shouldn't be on a top station in a major market plus MSNBC.

"What has a liberal done wrong lately that could compare to the Iraq war, deficit and pork barrel spending?"
For one - Pelosi trying to condemn Turkey for the attrocities committed against Armenians over 90 years ago, but noone from that era is alive. She is pissing off Turkey, an important strategic ally with that. If she wanted to end the war in Iraq, have her do it in an honorable way, not with stupid, scumbag politics. Hopefully, she will listen to others from both parties for a change and not have it voted on.
I am sure that there will be alot more opportunities for the liberals to pork-barrel spend, with a deficit spending thrown in and how they deal with the IslamoNazis AB (after Bush), especially if the Clintons get back in power.
Posted by: KS | October 16, 2007 at 10:14 PM
At least the Clintons had a balanced budget, and your Pelosi example doesn't strike me as being worse than a needless war being payed for with loans future generations and administrations will have to pay back.
Posted by: Andrew | October 16, 2007 at 10:22 PM
KS, just which talk show host are you parroting this time? What do you know about Armenians anyway?
Gimme a break.

There are always several beggars standing on the two or three main corners just below my secret hideaway on the ass end of Queen Anne Hill. They hold signs and solicit funds from passing cars stopped at the lights. Here, in generous, wealthy Seattle, where most folks aren't "Dori Monsonized", thank Christ, drivers frequently roll down their windows and give a buck or more to these guy sand gals. Actually there's really only one gal i've seen out there a lugubrious-faced scarecrow of a woman who appears every day,, on the same corner. Today there was a new fellow on her corner and she was nowhere in sight. This guy wsa a shabbily -dressed, huge, bearlike man in his forties with a full salt-and-pepper beard. Some black kids got off the bus and passed in front of him. Apparntly rhey made some mocking, smartass cracks since I saw him turn and walk after them, shouting out fighting challenges. The one youth who was the main object of his rage turned and seemed undecided to come back toward him, and that was when this "bear man" started shouting the racial epithets. "Fuck you, nigger!," he bellowed, in an incredibly loud megavoice, fueled by rage. Fuck you, Nigger!" reverberated over and over in the fall air, as polite, reserved Seattleites drove by in Beamers and Mercedes sedans, and pretended not to hear. The kids ran off in fear as the giant charged toward them, and he finally stopped screaming and walked back to his corner. What wsa the history of this fellow, I thought to myself, what was his life's journey that had inexorably led him to this midlife moment of pain, humiliation and hateful, racist rage? I'm sure that if Dori had driven by at that moment , in his silly "Dud of the Decade" Jaguar x-type, with Star and the girls, he wouldn't have wondered about any of this, but would have dismissed this fellow as an expendable nobody, human garbage, and then would have told the girls to cover their ears, as he cranked up his CD of Wayne Newton's Greatest Hits..
Posted by: Tommy008 | October 16, 2007 at 11:52 PM
Or.... what was the history of those black children? What did their liberal parents teach them that made them think it was okay to berate and humiliate the homeless person?
PS, nice try, Tommy, trying to once again work Dori into a non-Dori thread, but it didn't work. You still come-off sounding like a psycho Dori-stalker.

Note that Imus is offering a "kick ass guarantee--no fake boobs." This suggests a link to Maloney. "Dime us" (D.Imus) is street slang for "bring us a 'ten' (i.e. a very attractive female).
Clearly, conservative talk host Imus is involved in Maloneys project to recruit attractive and large-breasted conservative spokesgirls.
Posted by: Jeeramya | October 17, 2007 at 06:03 PM
jeeramya: is that your fantasy; you bring it up CONSTANTLY!!!
Posted by: Duffman | October 17, 2007 at 06:22 PM
Joanie:
I know enough about the Armenians - and what do you know about them ? What Pelosi proposed is bad timing on purpose - it is stupid, as is the war in Iraq. It could be proposed later (it is 90+ years since it happened for God sakes...).
You are the poster person for the quote: "Being liberal means you never have to say you're sorry"
Don't resort to calling me a Neo-con (which is untrue- hint: my view on the Iraq war is different than theirs) lest you care to demonstrate that you live in a bubble.
Posted by: KS | October 17, 2007 at 06:31 PM
No, Duffman, actually Randi is one of my fantasies. You could not pay me to date one of Maloneys Faux hunnies.
Posted by: jeeramya | October 17, 2007 at 07:27 PM
I Garin-Darn-T it's Dori's fantasy, though.
Posted by: Jeeramya | October 17, 2007 at 07:29 PM
Interesting scenario and story, tommy. Pre-Reagan, he might have been living in a State hospital or at least monitored by people in one or another of the social services. And the black kids? Why, they might have been college students or working after school.
I appreciate that you didn't judge or denigrate anyone in your appraisal. That was a kind and very human analysis. Not even any name callling. That's is hard to do.
As for 710DORI, the words "human garbage" are his, not Tommy's. As as for judging without facts, you seem unable to post without such intolerance, DT.
Posted by: joanie | October 17, 2007 at 09:18 PM
Seeing how a lot of the people who post on BW lie, or twist the truth, I want... no, I DEMAND... the exact quote Dori gave on this human garbage quote. I believe he said it, but I don't believe he called all poor people "human garbage." I never heard it, but knowing all your biases, I think you are twisting what he said. just like how you twisted that he "bought a Jag," when he in fact was leased the Jag as part of his being hired to do commercials for a Jag dealership. So if people are willing to twist that, they are probably willing to twist other things. That is why I DEMAND proof of this "human garbage" quote.
If you want my respect, you will have to earn it.

Come on, DT, admit it. You keep coming to this particular thread because you like looking at women's bare asses.
Posted by: sparky | October 18, 2007 at 06:23 PM
Sparky, I've seen your posts before. I don't know much about you. Tell me about yourself. What are your politics? Who are your favorite talk hosts? And by favorite, I don't mean those who you intelectually agree, but seldom listen to, but who do you actually listen to the most?
Posted by: DT | October 18, 2007 at 06:39 PM
DT, fess up, either you are Dori Monso or you are blowing him...
Posted by: sarge | October 18, 2007 at 06:41 PM
why?
Posted by: sparky | October 18, 2007 at 07:28 PM
That answer tells me everything I need to know about you.
Posted by: DT | October 18, 2007 at 08:08 PM
Ok then! Glad I could be of help!
Posted by: sparky | October 18, 2007 at 08:34 PM
Finally, DT's become a man(?) of few words.
And, Klueless, I know about as much as you do about the Armenians and that's not saying much.
I'm still curious - who's the host that filled you in?
Posted by: joanie | October 18, 2007 at 11:00 PM
Joanie - whatever/who the hell cares ?
Posted by: KS | October 20, 2007 at 10:25 PM
Randi is one of my fantasies as well.
