Yawn. Whatever.

Bob

It is very troubling to see the political wealth of this country shared by only two dysfunctional families....the Bushes and Clintons. We are truly a have and have not society.

Duffman

Good piece Bla'M...I'm proud! [Totally different ball game this time around] :)

Duffman

Headline could have just as well read: 'Hillary re-takes seattle'..and White House !

joanie

Shows a lack of imagination and perhaps a lack of courage on the part of the American people, Bob.

Also, an awful lot of people are regretting their reactionary greeting to her original health care plan now that they see the wolves they used to think were conservative sheep.

Baa, baa, doffo.

Duffman

Thank you ma'am, may I have another.

coiler

I agree Bob, John Edwards would make a better candidate.

Duffman

The American public does not like John Edwards...get over it!

brian

I'm not sure the American public likes Hillary very much either. It will take a lot more than preaching to the liberal choir in Seattle to take the white house.

Hey, I thought this blog was supposed to be about talk radio? The tie-in here is tentative at best.

brian

er, that was supposed to be "tenuous ", still not enough coffee as of yet...

Duffman

...hey, it could also be 'tentative' :)

sparky

Duffman, John Edwards has received the endorsement of most of the unions in Iowa, for starters. This time 4 years ago Howard Dean was in the lead in all the polls as the sure-fire nominee. How did that work out?
Hillary is not a sure thing, especially since not a single vote has been cast.

Duffman

Thank you sparks; HOWEVER...were THAT to happen...it w/be OBAMA!
Edwards has failed to capture the confidence of the American public...and quite frankly he (& his family) are pissin folks off (like ME) with all of the 'beggin for money' letters he puts out. There MAY be a place for him in the Clinton administration, but I doubt he's want it; his ego couldn't handle it. Just saying it like folks think...sorry.

David Tatelman

Great post, Michael, and it has an awful lot to do with talk radio, or in this case "Hate Radio." What KVI did in 1994 was shameless and it is good to remind people what thugs the Republicans were during the last Clinton Presidency. Now that the neo-cons have been exposed we need to keep reminding people what rightwingers really stand for: hate and selfishness.

Duffman

Wow! Mrs Clinton sounding Presidential already

Andrew

Hahhaahah! Dori just got pwned by a caller and had to go to commercial all of the sudden.

Duffman

what was the subject matter?

sparky

We'll see. In the meantime, Edwards picked up another union today:

With the endorsement of the NCAE, Edwards has passed the 3.1 million members mark in union support. Last week Edwards won the endorsement of 11 SEIU state councils, representing over 1 million workers in Iowa, California, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Michigan, West Virginia, Ohio and Oregon. The endorsements will allow these 11 SEIU state councils to organize efforts to turn out caucus goers on Edwards' behalf within Iowa, and in any other state where the SEIU state councils have also endorsed Edwards. The Iowa Postal Workers Union, representing 3,000 members, also endorsed Edwards last week. In September, Edwards earned the endorsement of the Transport Workers Union of America (200,000 active and retired members), the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (520,000 active members), the United Steelworkers (1.2 million active members and retirees), and the United Mine Workers of America (105,000 active members and retirees).

coiler

She has to win the south, Edwards is more suited to that role.

Duffman

..interesting data sparks, like you say 'WE'LL SEE'.

MikefromMcChord

You libs like to say Iraq is the Republicans War which is true but lets throw in another statement, Republican's War supported by weak Democrats who didn't want to be left out in the cold.

Even Shrillary AKA Hildabeast supported it before she didn't support it before she supported it or something like that. I mean look at their picture, Bill is probably checking out the skirts in the crowd and you know that Shrillary will be sweating it out if hell freezes over and the creeks rise and she gets elected. That will be fun to hear talk radio discuss - who did Billy do last night? And the dysfunctional remark made by Bob -come on say what you want about the Bush family, at least they have stayed married. The only one on the Clinton side who has showed any normality is the daughter Chelsea. A miracle she would even be half normal with the Antichrist as a mother and a pervert as a father.

KVI AND CONSERVATIVE TALK RADIO RULES - it would almost be fun if Shrillary did win so she could be torn apart - never mind - its not even worth that.

Andrew

A black guy was justifying belting his child as a form of discipline, then Dori said, 'if you had a problem with a coworker would you belt them to?' and the black guy said 'that would be illegal' to which Dori said 'leaving a scar on your child is illegal' then the black guy said 'if you belt someone there's gonna be a scar' and then Dori quickly went to commercial.

A fine fine example of a talk show host ending a debate before having to admit fault in his reasoning.

Andrew

MisleadFromMcChord says "You libs like to say Iraq is the Republicans War which is true but lets throw in another statement, Republican's War supported by weak Democrats who didn't want to be left out in the cold."

We libs didn't support those weak Democrats. What makes you think we ever did?

Unlike cons, we're not in lock step with Dem leaders, we don't "carry their water" as Limbaugh does for con leaders.

Thank you for that gem.

Duffman

Yeah, talk show hosts have that 'hammer' of cutting you off, going to break, commercial, etc., et al. Only one who really doesn't do that is the 'Stybe' - who answers his own questions and sometimes even has to go to break 'on himself' haha.

MikefromMcChord

Anytime Andrew, I'm always willing to help those who are less fortunate in both mind and matter. An unexpected end product of the war is that libs like you are out of lock step with your Dem leaders. It does my heart good. MoveOn.org and the Daily Kos or whatever it's called is doing more to split your party than millions of dollars of conservative money ever could. Your party is imploding and the nutcases who are out there running for your side know it. Do some research before you blather about "carrying their water". Try listening for once, there are conservative talk show hosts who like I do go against President Bush on immigration and his support for ill conceived social experiments (i.e., Medicare Drug Bill and socialized medicine for all children). When you're wrong, you're wrong. Maybe you libs need a new party, the Dems aren't putting forth your communistic, liberal agenda anymore and you're all crying like a bunch of little girls. Keep it up Andrew, you're entertaining.

coiler

Notice "mikefromMcChord" or Ponders Corner didn't name any of the 'conservative' host who disagree with Bush....

Andrew

Libs are strongly united in all the ways that count, in our belief that the Iraq war was ultimately a mistake, that oppurtunity is important and that society matters. The divisions you speak of is laughable, and for all of Hillary's faults, she has a reputation for meeting in the middle.

I don't know where you're coming from but it sounds like you still think we'll capture Bin Laden by succeeding in Iraq. Good luck with that.

Tommy008

I like when Dori talks about his grwoing up days in the "crackerboxes" of working class Balrad, such as today's story about his black friend's buttwhippings with a paddle. Stories like this and the tales of slaving as a boxboy at Ballard Foddtown and swiping a Oui Magazine there, so he could %###%@! behind the dumpsers to it, let's us know just what an incredible journey Dori has made from the terrible poverty or "povery" as Dori would say, and mean streets of Ballard to his present awesome six figure income success, tooling around town in a Jag x-type. What a man's man!

Duffman

"..that the Iraq war was ultimately a mistake,,"

I would only add that from my standpoint it was a fundamental mistake from the git-go.

sparky

Last time I looked, "Mike", the Clintons were still married. So much for that point.

Cant say the same for Jooooliani, or McCain

Andrew

Well obviously Hillary and other Dems OK'd it in essence. It has been very frustrating for us libs who've been aposed to all of it from the very begining, from being called un-patriotic for wanting to save the lives of our infinately honorable troops to seeing George W Jackass elected again in '04, but thankfully America is starting to see things our way. Better late than never.

Tommy008

Please don't anyone show Dori the recent N.Y.Times automtotive section article that said the Jag X-Type was the stinkiest stinker since the turn of the new century, in the car world, and caused grown men to now laugh at the once-revered Jaguar name. Let the man drive and feel his false sense of euphoria to the fullest. Do not burst the man's bubble. That would be sick and wrong.

Andrew

On the topic of Dori and six figures, I don't consider the way in which he has succeeded at finding money "successful" in the traditional sense. He's not a doctor, a wise investor or a hard working entrepreneur, nor is he an asset to the community. He is, in essence, a prostitue who worked his way up to a realy good street corner and has a knack for the impure arts. His skillset is entirely useless outside of the world of ill fame.

Duffman

Then why can't he be ignored? I don't see a lot of talk about Dr Sauvage on this board; one of the world's top heart surgeons and co-founder of the Hope Institute and from Providence/Swedish. Your rationale would exclude MANY professions. He has had to work hard to get to where he is; whether you regard that work as substantial is irrelevent. Proof of the pudding is in the $dollars he commands and the amount of 'demand' he commands.

MikefromMcChord

A lib pile on - I LIKE IT. Let me get to each one of you.

coiler - Yes its McChord not Ponder's Corner. I'll give you names although I'm sure they'll just bounce off of your thickhead but here goes - Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Bryan Suits - they have all expressed their displeasure and non-support of some of the Bush Administration's policies - try listening to them.

sparky - I had a dog named Sparky once, good dog, anyways you can't possibly call the Clinton marriage a real marriage - give me a break, Bill has committed adultery and rape so many times I'm sure even he has lost count. Sure McCain and Guliani have divorced - mature, grown up people who realize a marriage won't work usually do the honorable thing and get a divorce - grow up sparky. The only reason the Antichrist didn't divorce him is because she cared more about her political life than her personal life.

duffman - You're expressing your opinion and I can respect that. I disagree.

Andrew - Andy, you libs like to say I support the troops and we want to as you say, "save the lives of our infinately honorable troops". You don't have the right to speak for the troops. They can speak for themselves, yes I was one for 22 years. I was a volunteer and I knew the risks as do the troops today. They don't need idiots like you who think the military aren't smart enough to make a decision to speak for them. Most of the troops support the mission and are honored to serve and protect this nation and yes they support Bush - yeah, fighting in IRaq is protecting the nation but I would never expect you to get past your bias of Bush to accept that fact. I still work with the proud airmen of McChord AFB and every day they fight the fight. The only thing that upsets them is people like you who think they know what the deal is but have no clue. When you say the things that you say I consider you to be unpatriotic and that is an opinion that I am allowed to have because of my service. Don't like it tough - go to Canada with Alec Baldwin. Hopefully the American people will see through the liberal BS and the hate America stance that you have and will once more elect a conservative to lead this country.

One more thing its opposed not aposed.

Andrew

You're saying he's successful soley because we pay attention, isn't that on par with a prostitute puting on a shiny red slip to attract johns?

Duffman

Last I heard being a prostitute was an illegal profession in this State...is it not still?
&dru - we'll just have to agree to disagree on Dori.

Andrew

MikefromMcChord says "Andy, you libs like to say I support the troops and we want to as you say, "save the lives of our infinately honorable troops". You don't have the right to speak for the troops."

The troops don't even have the right to speak for the troops. They must do whatever the president orders them to do. Voters elect presidents. As a voter it is my duty to vote in the best interest of the soldiers.

"They don't need idiots like you who think the military aren't smart enough to make a decision to speak for them."

The military isn't asked to decide, Bush does that. The military is ordered by Bush to point at things and shoot.

"fighting in IRaq is protecting the nation but I would never expect you to get past your bias of Bush to accept that fact...The only thing that upsets them is people like you who think they know what the deal is but have no clue. "

You don't illustrate that you have a clue either. You have no reasoning, and you act as if there has never been a debate about the merits of the Iraq war. There have been, and I have participated in them. It was without merit. Get with the program.

"When you say the things that you say I consider you to be unpatriotic and that is an opinion that I am allowed to have because of my service."

Your service doesn't afford you intellectual or moral carte blanche. A wrong serviceman is still wrong, albeit with honors.

"Don't like it tough - go to Canada with Alec Baldwin. Hopefully the American people will see through the liberal BS and the hate America stance that you have and will once more elect a conservative to lead this country. "

These are your true colors, intolerance, jingoism, entitlement. I love America. I won't leave, you can. I need to stay here and protect our troops from being thrown haphazardly in harms way by idiot leaders.

sparky

You didnt say anything about the quality of the marriage,...you implied that Bush is better because he "stayed" married. The Clintons have stayed married, regardless of your laundry list of reasons.

Your name may be "new" on here, but since seem to be unable to comment without name calling...Duffman and Puts and nevets will welcome you with open..uh...arms.
Have fun.

Andrew

Duffman, just because something isn't illegal doesn't mean it isn't disreputable and in poor taste. I don't blame you for missing that distinction though, your type does that often.

sparky

Andrew, "Mike" is deep into the conservative need for authoritivism. What he says is the final word. Period. You should read John Dean's book on the matter. Pretty enlightening on what goes on on this blog.

Duffman

sparks: You just activated the
pot - kettle alarm! :)

Duffman

&dru, I detect a bit of jealousy; but it's understandable in 'your type'

Andrew

Duff, cons want to prohibit flag burning, prohibit gay marriage, prohibit choice. Cons hate choice, and are truely the most fascist among us.

Duffman

What's that got to do with Dori Monson being worth what he earns, being a hard worker, sacrificing his time for love of job/money/family and creating a demand for his talent. You don't know what you're talking about and you're just trying to ramble.

Andrew

That was in reference to you turning the table on sparky, obviously.

Andrew

I fully appreciate that Dori creates demand for his talent, and what a pathetic talent of limited usefulness it is.

Duffman

Your opinion; obviously not that of a whole heck of a lot of others.

My pot/kettle remark to sparks: was because she rapped me for 'name-calling' when she is the model for it on this blog.

Duffman

In summation, may I end this topic like it began. Mrs Clinton not only "'re-takes' seattle"...she(they) will re-take the White House. It's my guess that the joanies, sparkys, andrews, coilers, fremonts, merci's and leann's, etc et al of the world will be casting their vote accordingly or not voting.

MikefromMcChord

Andrew - Again you're showing your ignorance - the troops have every right to talk for themselves and they do so by not re-enlisting. Look at the re-enlistment rates. Yes the president is the commander-in-chief and we all know that when we join. I served eight years through the Clinton debacle - I served in Bosnia, yes I disagreed with it but I supported the mission. I had two chances during Clinton's time to beat feet - I chose to stay in depite the gutting of the military by the Dems and the hatred the Clinton's showed for the military. So again don't pretend to have their best interests in mind when you spout your vitriolic hate for Bush and America.

You say: The military isn't asked to decide, Bush does that. The military is ordered by Bush to point at things and shoot.

Again your ignorance shows through. Bush, to his credit hasn't gotten involved in something so basic as picking targets for the military to shoot - only Dems do that (JOhnson in Vietnam, Carter in Desert One and Clinton in Somalia).

You say: You don't illustrate that you have a clue either. You have no reasoning, and you act as if there has never been a debate about the merits of the Iraq war. There have been, and I have participated in them. It was without merit. Get with the program.

Get with what program, what a program of defeat and cowardice, a program of not standing up to fight what is clearly evil - no thanks. The war has merit - it had merit in the beginning and it has more merit now - why can't you see that the insurgents and terrorists have made Iraq the centerpoint of the war on terror. Our troops are fighting and killing them there, where would you rather them fight, here in Washington? Yes, I know I am spouting the Republican talking points but in my case I believe them. If we pull out of Iraq they will focus on Afghanistan and when the libs/Dems get tired of that war they will pull out, where will they go next? If you don't think they won't come here you are sadly mistaken. These terrorists hate you as a liberal as much as they hate me as a conservative. I want the American military fighting overseas not here in the U.S.

Your service doesn't afford you intellectual or moral carte blanche. A wrong serviceman is still wrong, albeit with honors.

Yes, my service does allow me intellectual and moral carte blanche. I walked the walk, not talked it like you do. Have you served in the military? Been a policeman? Served in the Peace Corps? What have you done other than being born here to merit even a small opportunity to express your opinion. Every word that comes out of your mouth aids our enemies and slowly tears down the fabric of this nation. Yes, Andrew in my eyes you are unpatriotic and yes you are a traitor. Too bad noone in the Justice Dept has the balls to charge people like you with sedition.

You say: These are your true colors, intolerance, jingoism, entitlement. I love America. I won't leave, you can. I need to stay here and protect our troops from being thrown haphazardly in harms way by idiot leaders.

No Andrew I will be here to the end fighting the enemy both Islamic and liberal. Instead of protecting our troops by your pathetic vote put your cause out there dude - join up, fight for America instead of crying like a little girl. I'm very tolerant and yes I am entitled - I live in the best country in the world.
