We've heard that KIRO PD Rod Arquette has been telling staff that when finishes buffing out the Mother Ship, he's going to start in on KTTH, the little station a tad to the right both politically and on the dial (770 KHz) of KIRO.
Arquette's not done with KIRO yet- he's got the mysterious, weekdaily 6-9p spot to fill, (and we can't wait- so horrid is that slot on Seattle radio with the sports or the Mark 'Squeaky' Levin).
Phil Hendrie was replced a few years back at the old Buzz 101.5 by a couple or three morons with phony deep voices in a show of nonfunny crap, dreck and drivel called The Men's Room. Glad to hear one of the funniest men alive is coming back on Seattle radio. Don't touch Savage, though.

Phil Hendrie on KTTH ? to replace Glenn Beck ? I agree with don't touch Savage... Noone else would warrant replacement due to their ratings. Maybe he should be on KIRO. Hendrie is middle of the road -isn't he ? Heard him in Portland last week on KPAM from 9-midnight - not the most dynamic though, but wouldn't mind hearing him again.

Middle of the road? i htink you're confusing Hendrie with somene else. Occaisionally Hendrie does a straight commentary, but mostly he impersonates his own strange callin guests, doing the voices himself. Unsuspecting rube callers are taken in by these usually infuriatingly odd "guests" and call in to take them on. I'm telling you it is the funniest crap you'll ever hear.

Hendrie is a one trick pony with his dopey voices. Gets tiresome after more more than one hour.

Hendrie does not take phone calls. He fools even veteran listeners with that bit. Hendrie does ALL the voices on his show; including the "csllers".

You are incorrect- he may do his own caller from time to time but I've definitely heard him take callers. He has basically one woman's voice and he's simply not capable of doing the different women I've heard call in, as well as the blacks , so forth. I have an ear that can't be fooled. None of his guest voices have ever really fooled me. Saying he isn't funny, one trick pony tiresome blah blah blah simply means he isn't funny to you, just like the people that post on here that don't think any of my short stories are funny. Humor is hihgly subjective.

Phil Hendrie is talented but his schtick appeals to a niche audience of devotees. KFI in Los Angeles found that out the hard way when they put Hendrie on in afternoon drive and he got annihilated in the ratings. Phil lacks mass appeal because he does the same tired bit every show. Host does fake interview with a fake guest about a fake topic; we get it. Hendrie has found a home in a late night radio timeslot where he belongs.

I am so glad Phil is going to back on in Seattle, oroginally I didn't like him but during the last 6 or so months of his old show I started to catch on to the humor of the show. I listened to Phil on a station out of Las Vegas while I was on vacation last month( I was in Northern Arizona and could pick up the station's signal) and while most of the show is kind of boring, most of it is still like the Phil Hendrie of old. I only wish that when he was doing the voices on his new show, he'd let real people call in, but other than that it's alright.

The new revamped Phil Hendrie is a distant cousin of the old. He mostly blathers on about a couple of news stories but humor is no longer part of the show. He does not take calls. It’s Phil’s opinion and that’s it. Can’t imagine this show is doing we ll. He does bring out his old characters at the end of the hour, but man is that old. It appears he has to follow guidelines set down by his syndicator as he never says a bad word about Bush and is constantly dismissive against anybody (celebrity or otherwise) who speaks out against the Iraq war. His comments all seem calculated to get a reaction, but you can’t call in to retort (even though he gives out a number) because he doesn't take any calls. µ

I love your show!! So glad I can hear you again in Pacific NW. Too bad you hadn't been helping Hillary with her campaign all along. What a team - you and Hillary "kicking ass". It's refreshing to hear someone who is not wearing rose colored glasses re: Obama. My own union is soliciting me to back Oback. I thought the whole democracy idea was that I could make my own choices! Thanks for all your insight.
