David Goldstein has snagged uber-blogger Markos Moulitsas, Daily Kos founder and controversial newsmaker to join Darcy Burner, 8th District congressional candidate for an appearance on KIRO's Dave Ross Show at 10a Wednesday.
Kos, as he's known, made headlines last weekend when his blog community
met in Chicago for the annual YearlyKos. Democratic presidential
candidates (all but Biden) hung with the bloggers this weekend and
stood to the questions thrown at them by the Kossacks.
Goldy (KIRO, Saturdays, Sundays, 7-10p) is a blogger/activist and the last local liberal in Seattle talk radio. He's fill-in host for Dave Ross (m-f, 9a-12p) Wednesday.
Hmmm...I was wondering how Goldy did so well with his show despite having his lips surgically attached to Burner's rear. No wonder she's in the studio....

Attention all 8th District voters: PLease tune in to hear why Darcy is a terrible fit for the 8th district. Evidenced by the fact that she's hanging with the likes of Mr. Horse's Beehind with the obscenity-laced blog, and the KOS people, who say things like The "Troops are morally retarded." Good luck, Ms. Burner, and I hope your family is not too insulted by the company you're choosing to keep. I know I'M not impressed.

Don't you realize that wether a message is obscene or not has no relationship to wether it's true or not? Is your complaint that KOS is obscene a de facto admission of it's utter truthfulness?

Andrew, that's the sorriest excuse for silliness that I've heard all month.

Complaining about "obscenity" is your latest laughable attempt at diverting our attention away from real issues for some fake conservative flavored outrage. Whatever fills the benches on Sunday.

That kid Kos is one of the most powerful men in America. That is why Bill O'Reilly is trying to destroy him. I will be listening to Goldy's show today. It is the sound of the future.

Vera...there are 17,000 manholes in the greater-Seattle area sewer system; how did you manage to drop into this one?

""That kid Kos is one of the most powerful men in America.""
LOL.

Ms Burner answers every question so much like every other politician. Every question is a "great question". She was so evasive in her answers that seh wouldn't even give a straight reply to whether she would consider a single payer health plan.
If she can't speak her mind better than she did this morning Sgt Hairspray will beat her again.

I agree with Ryder, Darcy Burner's performance with Goldy was a disgrace.
Someone asked if she promoted turning the dinner train line into a public transport line and she said, and I must paraphrase, "Thank you for calling in to the station. You've asked a very good question. We're struggling with an expanding traffic situation on the east side, and I have had talks with [some guy in charge of something?] and [another guy] about our options in addressing the issue. I was disappointed that Congressman Reighart didn't vote to bla bla bla" and she trailed on and on.
Why wasn't a simple yes/no employed? She could have even added a little garnish. I'd have like to have heard "Yes. It's true that the dinner train line passes through several important commuter hubs" or "No. The benefit would be small proportionate to the costs", but instead we're treated to bucket of shit.
What's worse than the political jargon is the phoniness of her expressed concern. I wouldn't mind the cookie cutter response if I knew I was hearing genuine interest in what was being discussed.
Fortunately I don't have to vote for her because I'm not in her district but to witness such cynical political showmanship from a Democrat who describes herself as a alternative is infuriating.
She's seeming to be less and less of the honest do-gooder as she painted herself to be and instead more of a bland politician you suspect is in politics to fill some personal void in her being.

Just say it - Darcy Burner is an empty skirt and anyone who thinks she is an excellent candidate for the 8th District needs to see a shrink at once and get off the psychotropic drugs...

Reading this comment thread, it just shows you have worried Republicans are about their boy Reichert and the challenge he faces from Burner.
My god the concern trolls have a helluva lot of time on their hands.

Yes Goldy, we've been told this in no uncertain terms by the 'Grace' of God.
