Former KIRO talker Allan Prell, will appear on The David Goldstein Show Tuesday, July 17, at 9p. (Goldy's filling-in for Frank Shiers that week).
Prell who took sudden retirement from KIRO in September, 2005 lives in Virginia. He's the author of the cheeky, less-selling collection of New Age truths and plumbing tips by a gratefully little-known guru we suspect might be Prell himself.
It's Ka-ching: The Repository of Universal Wisdoms, printed grandly in a seemingly infinite collection of fonts and the reverence and spiritual dynamic Prellians have come to expect.
Reviewers are ecstatic:
"Types admirably." ~Rolling Stone
"Mr. Prell's muse is unfettered by such mitigating factors as taste." ~ The New York Times
"... a real pisser." ~The Wall Street Urinal
I cannot wait! I loooooooove AP, and have been forlorn since his departure. I have not been a fan of Goldy's, but I will consider this a step in the right direction.

Is Tom Clendening's name really Frank? I'll give Allan a listen as well.

Allan emailed me a chapter or two of his book when he first started writing it.
After reading it, my first thought was that he needed a good editor. I hope he got one.

I too received an email copy of a verrrry rough draft of Allan's first chapter, mere days after he had finished it. My reply to him mirrored Dana's sentiments almost to the letter. (Allan's response to my feedback - which in fairness he did solicit - was a bit choleric, as you'd expect. He hadn't actually obtained either an editor or a publisher at that point; thank heavens he subsequently found both.)
I hope this book leaps to the front ranks of Amazon bestsellers in no time flat. Allan deserves no less.
