Glenn Beck is back in town, today (KTTH 3-6p).
But maybe you better wait before you fat-up that calf...
"I was surprised, because I really thought speaking at a suicide bomber graduation ceremony, I would just -- I -- maybe Jimmy Carter was booked and that's why he didn't speak at the commencement ceremony." ~ Glenn Beck, June 21.
That quote was just wrong and sick ! (Tongue in cheek humor) and a spinoff from Michael Savage...

That is riveting radio? Not only do I not get the joke, he told it badly.

Why did you'all listen to this guy in the first place? A leopard can't change it's spots.

Rick, I just listened to the sound bite Michael linked. That was enough, thank you.

I agree..life is too short to waste any of it on Glen Beck

Many don't care for Savage, but I actually find him compelling and often likeable. This turd Glenn Beck is neither. Didn't someone say Beck was a Mormon? I know KIRO's new ownership already has shit-for-brains just by the fact that they are Mormons, but this seems like religious favoritism. At least they had the sense to keep Savage on a delayed basis.

Montrose sat back in his grandstand seat at Emerald Downs, and watched as his horse sprinted down the final stretch toward the finish line. He knew this was going to be a lucky day from the earliest hours, back during morning coffee in his aging Beacon Hill condo. Now, here was the proof- hundreds of pounds of sleek, black sinew and muscle out in front of the rest of the pack, and pumping forward past the grandstands to certain victory. Certain victory and financial salvation for Dillard Montrose, at least temporarily. He had bought a five hundred dollar win ticket for Drew's Choice, a two year old from the Issaquah stables of an owner Montrose knew casually. Montrose had been following the horse all summer, during his regular handicapping. He was a long odds winner, so Dillard's ticket would be worth about 4,000 dollars. He'd be able to pay Suzette her overdue first support payment and have some left over. The various other holders of winning tickets bleated, roared and bawled, as Dillard Montrose's savior neared the finish line. Now he was only about one hundred feet away. Suddenly, the horse caught his right hoof on a divet in the track surface and lunged forward. Montrose watched in horror as Drew's Choice stumbled and lost his balance. Time seemed to go into slow motion as the horse inexorably fell to the ground , with the rider holding on for dear life. The other horses quickly caught up with them, and passed on either side as they finished the race. Montrose felt a sickening void in his stomach, as he watched his money disappear into the cloud of dust in front of him , as the horse writhed in pain, and the rider was helped off the track.........

Montrose toddled out of the racetrack bar, and out into the parking lot, feeling more than a little worried about his ability to drive home. A harrowing hour or so later he was safely ensconced in his seedy Beacon Hill condo, having avoided any accidents as well as being pulled over by police. He poured himself some strong coffee and sat down in his office chair, in front of the computer. He was disgusted with himself for having blown five hundred bucks at the track, when his money now was getting tighter than ever. It was time for him to face an ugly truth. There was really only one job opportunity for him on the forseeable horizon. Suzette was right- the "radio thing" seemed to no longer be in his future, but rather behind him. It was time for him to seriously consider accepting the greeter job that the Kent Smart and Final store had offered him........
