Mike Webb's house has been ransacked, and he's still missing; but he left his car, and other personal effects behind, according to his deeply worried family.
Friends and family haven't heard from the former KIRO late night talk host, since April 13, although a Dept. of Corrections spokesman told Blatherwatch that Webb called in to his Community Custody officer on April 30.
The house on the northern slope of Queen Anne Hill was vandalized;
neighbors said transients have been in and out.
There was no blood or
signs of a fight; but "his personal stuff was scattered all over the
place," according to a family member.
With no evidence to the contrary, Seattle Police are still treating this as a missing persons case.
What's not missing is what scares his family: no personal
effects, they say, are gone: his Lexus, "his baby" was left on the
street until it was impounded by police.
The leather jacket he always wore was on the floor; suitcase,
toiletries, clothing, all seemed to be in the house indicating,
perhaps, an unplanned exit.
Webb, 51, who was convicted in February of insurance fraud had his
30-day jail term converted to 240 hours of community service to be
completed by Aug 2. He has a hearing date with Judge Julie Spector to
report to on his completion of the service.
Webb has been suffering a decline in mental and physical health for the past couple of years, according to sources.

Whether Aimee was kidnapped, staged her own disappearance, or simply ran away is still unknown. When she did return to Los Angeles, her disappearance became the center of a highly publicized trial and the subject of a media frenzy. When the dust settled, Aimee continued her work."

He's not dead. The police heard from him on the 30th or April, 16 days after he disappeared which tells us he has made arangements of some sort. If was going to do himself in he wouldn't have bothered to sustain himself 16 days prior to. I bet he's hiding out at a friends house.

the issues that he has with the law will be resolved in due time. no one died and no one got hurt. he screwed up and paid a fairly big price with the loss of his show and the publicity that came with it. lets hope he can face his demons, own up, and overcome them. he did it with alcohol.

Hmm, I saw this article in the PI a couple weeks ago. Some guy named Mike Webb testified about the new nightclub ordinance, thought it was him:
"Mike Webb said he and his neighbors in the community of East Barclay Court near Seattle University have struggled for three years to get peace in their community. As did some others, Webb complained that rowdy, disruptive nightclubs too often sneak in under the guise of restaurants."
