The Reagan Wing Hearin lies the real heart of Washington State Republicans. Doug Parris runs this red-meat social conservative group site which bars no holds when it comes to saying who they are and who they're not; what they believe and what they don't; who their friends are and where the rest of the Republicans can go. Well-written, and flaming.
Orbusmax inexhaustible Drudgery of NW conservative news
The Radio Equalizer prolific former Seattle KVI, KIRO talk host speaks authoritatively about radio.

Do you trust Arbitron's stats? Also, I wonder how much impact on-line listening has on those numbers. Do they include on-line listening? I listen on-line far more often than I used to.
And other computer distractions like games and on-line chat?
This little box is mighty addictive.
And the rise of cable tv?
Although, even when I'm on the computer for any reason, I am usually listening on-line to radio.
So many alternatives today - not to mention all the fed and local government TV stations available to people who really want to be informed - like CSpan, Seattle Channel.
Many niches - smaller market shares. But radio is still around and will be for a long time. JMO.
Exactly. Where does it say "TALK" radio. No doubt there are a lot more choices than in 1994, so it's probably true radio listening TSL HAS gone down, but I'd bet that music radio is what's really getting killed. Compared to talk radio, it's probably WAAAAAAY down...in fact spoken word radio is probably holding the average up
Don't listen to commercial radio! Get Sirius! Howard is The King! The King! Howard had Tobey Maguire on his show today. Howard asked him who would win in a fight: Spiderman, Batman or Superman?
Superman is the obvious choice, but if he is fighting Batman or Spiderman on their home turf anything can happen, kind of like what's happening to us in Iraq. In the end I think the superheroes would all declare it a draw, just like I think we will in Iraq.
Sparky, you can listen to liberal talk on Sirius. Plus, I think you would enjoy Howard's schtick. Only 44 cents a day!
i dont really listen to radio at all anymore. everythings just so slanted to the left and you cant get a honest view of the news anymore. its really sad that the driveby media just keeps trashing bush but cant come up with any ideas of there own.
i apreciate you trying to put me down jonie but i wasnt saying that im trying to be objective was i? i dont have any problem whatsoever with liberal stations for you guys to listen to but you have to admit that a lot of the charecter assaults are pretty over the top.
KIROFM 97.3 Multi-format: news and nearly all local talk. This is where classic KIRO AM news talk radio went... hopefully, not to die. The home of Dave Ross & Luke Burbank, Dori Monson, Ron & Don, Frank Shiers, Bill Radke, Linda Thomas, Tony Miner and George Noory.
KUOW FM 94.9 Seattle's foremost public radio news and talk.
KVI am 570 KHz Visit the burnt-out husk of one of the seminal right-wing talkers in all the land. Here's where once trilled the reactionary tones of Rush Limbaugh, John Carlson, Kirby Wilbur, Mike Siegel, Peter Weissbach, Floyd Brown, Dinky Donkey, and Bryan Suits.
Now it's Top 40 hits from the '60's & '70's aimed at that diminishing crowd who still remembers them and can still hear.
KTTH am 770 KHz Right wing home of local, and a whole bunch of syndicated righties such as Glennn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Medved, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Lars Larsony, and for an hour a day: live & local David Boze.
KPTK am 1090 KHz Syndicated liberal talk. Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes, Norman Goldman fill in the large hole to the left on Northwest radio dial.
KLFE AM 1590 kHz Syndicated right-wing 2nd stringers like Mark Levin, Bill Bennett, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Dennis Miller and Hugh Hewitt inhabit this timid-voiced neighbor honker for your radio enjoyment (unless you're behind something large like Costco).
KOMOAM News, traffic, Ken Schram and John Carlson.

So speaketh the "voice of objectivity"- not.
Poor Kent, can't find a truthful (read conservative) radio station. Can anybody help this lost (deaf and blind) soul?
Posted by: joanie | May 02, 2007 at 09:08 PM
I have noticed that Rush and Hannity have really run over to the left lately, yep!

Not to mention these local yokels: Medved, Carlson, Suits, Wilbur, and the biggest buffoon, Monsoon, himself.
Oh dear. Hard to miss 'em, huh?
So, Kent, did we help a little bit - hmm?
Posted by: joanie | May 02, 2007 at 09:33 PM
what a angry little femonazi you are.
Posted by: kris in kent | May 02, 2007 at 09:39 PM
Aw, Kent, I'm not angry. In fact, I'm having quite a good time with you.
Feminazi? I see you already found Rush. Well, that was resourceful of you. See, you didn't need our help afterall. :)
