You know, I would really be thrilled for her if she was tapped by MSNBC....but I would hope that KPTK would still run her show..it would mean not being able to call in anymore, but they would be nuts to lose her on that morning drive time. Of course, if they do move her, then goodbye KPTK and I will tape the t and v to watch in the evenings.
I also would be sad if she had to tone things down because she was on tv....no more Lying Sack of Crap, no more Itchy Kitty, no more Squeezy McFeelpants, no more playing the audio of Billo reading from his porn novel....no more Jim Ward impressions of Kim Jong Ill....

sparky

..oh, and if she does get it...watch for Big Eddy to be realllllllly pissed..lol...

"Stephanie Miller is as harmless as a kitten" _randi rhodes

Miller is a perfect fit for MSNBC in the post Imus era. Her show appeals to a politically correct leftwing female mentality. Miller is less controversial than lukewarm tapioca.

The translation in my head is if your sick and tired of assholes listen to Stephanie.

I get the impression you've never once heard her show.

PC & less controversial? How so?

Do tell, Shoreke.

and on that note alone I hope she gets it, never mind that I hope she does because I like her.

Grace

Amazing! Every time i come on here its the same old people throwin out the same ol bullshit trying to out do each other with stupid rhetoric. I swear you folks are pathetic, you need to get jobs a quit wasting your fuckin time like this. DO SOMETHING; get off your fat asses and MOVE!!!

cowpotpi3

Pot. Kettle?

What is more stupid, the people posting here or coming here repeatedly to complain about the people coming here. Hmm.

robinz

Boy, you pegged that one.

Actually it's becoming more of a kind of a squawking noise in the background at this point.

Just ignore it and it will stop. It's no fun if it dosen't get the badly needed attention it's dysfunctional personality craves.

Robinz

joanie

Here's to laughing at you, Grace. Thanks cowpot. I guess the right can be funny . . .occasionally. :)

Grace

You are like hungry fish in a pond, swimming around with nothing to do. Someone throws a morsel in and you all jump to it with your almighty egotistical wisdom. Surely you must have chores, preparations, other things to do beyond staring at the computer screen. You poor sad, lonely bastards I feel for you (& thus - for this country). Can't stay here long - makes me sick.

Grace

Blam thanks for the heads up on Steph Miller, I do enjoy her and it will be interesting to see how she does on TV.

joanie

S'plain yourself, Gracie, what are ya? Right? Left? Bi? Confusted? I do think you have some good taste if you like Steph.

Now, Gracie, you go back to work while I have my servants fix a cup of tea and fan me.

Andrew

disGraceful, stop pretending to be a girl. Maybe in your next life, you hairy, sweaty, internet transvestite.

joanie

Just found it but everyone should be watching the Bill Moyers Journal which is interviewing many, many journalists about how the gov sold the war. Fascinating!

joanie

Knight Ridder is the only news service that investigated thoroughly the WMD charges and found nothing there. The two reporters who found the story that now everyone is acknowledging was correct said the only medium that asked either reporter on was CSpan. One of the reporters actually appeared on CSpan - probably Washington Journal but he didn't say.

Geez, this is a good documentary. Too bad so many would rather hear pundits proclaiming whatever instead of listen to a well-researched piece of journalism like Moyers presents.

Walter Isaacson just said the people at Knight Ridder were calling the colonels and the CIA people and finding out the facts and they got it right. These people were saying the story that the gov is handing out has some problems. But big media called on pundits and politicians as their experts.

What a crock our so-called "journalists" are in main-stream media.

Andrew

It's surreal to hear them talk matter of factly about an administration leading us into war "under false pretenses" while that same administration is still administering as we speak. It's like a historic mistake which has yet to finish being made, nevermind remedied.

joanie

Well-said, Andrew.

Brian

I think I mus needs his job back on MSMBC. But if not my second pick for this would be LIONEL from the Lionel show www.lionelonline.com
He is a wacky DUDE!

KS

I don't think she will be the permanent fill-in, as Larry Elder, IMHO who is more reiable and informative will be in Imus's spot the following week. OR, Maybe they will choose the most Satanic talker to be MSNBC's choice to fill in for the I-man - there's a stiff competition going among talkers for that distinction...

Keep Moyers confined to PBS - he's become a crock and comes across as a blathering socialist who has little credibility in my book. FYI - Karl Rove also has little credibility in my book.

Andrew

Don't shoot the messenger. Even the media admits they fucked it up. They showed British news coverage in contrast to US news coverage, and the British coverage of the run-up was much more damning and forthright than anything I ever saw in the US media. Even a pinko like Bill Moyers is incapable of overstating the facts.

It came down to this: puting faith in Bush and Powell was patriotic as 9-11 was still a fresh wound, and telling the viewers things that challenge patriotism was bad for the news business. It drove viewers over to Fox News if they weren't there already, and it's still as
batshit today as it was then.

That's the lesson to be learned, that our journalists are no such thing, they are just mirrors reflecting our opinions back at us. The network presidents fire people who get bad ratings, not people who are biased or sworn to a fixed outcome of opinion.

If you watch Fox News, the only truth you will ever get is the truth that a conservative is happy to hear, you will never get "the truth truth", because that would hurt their ratings. Rupert Murdoch is better known for his wealth and business prowess than honesty and candor.

joanie

Klueless, you never fail to show the depth or your cluelessness! I'm wondering what - if any - Bill Moyers program you have ever watched? And if you respond to this by naming a program, tell me what you saw that so labels Moyers a crock or a socialist.

I know, I will not hear back. That in and of itself is further proof you have nothing to support your allegations about Moyer. And your book? A bunch of empty pages authored by Fox News.

Kevin

Hey great show, kinda close to Don Imus. She has the same great personality as Don does. If we can't have Don, Stephanie is the best replacement. Hey I heard the HO thing from her, thought it was great.

Tommy008

Happy in Bellevue called in to Taliaferro last night with more of his inane, pro-Bush prattle, but was quickly met with a thundering, humiliating denunciation from the T-man. You got to hear happy attempt to outshout Taliaferro, in a rare display of his true, ugly personality. bwahaahahahahaa

sparky

She was awesome..didnt hold back with anything that was sure to offend the right wing...the rest of the country got to hear about Female Impersonator Ann Coulter, and how Condi and Bush are having an affair....lots of people called in who had never heard her before and were loving it...

fuzznuts

No, it wasn't that way at all; this is how things get distorted.

mercifurious

Happy in Bellevue called in to Taliaferro last night with more of his inane, pro-Bush prattle

Taliaferro? Vas es los?

Happy in Bellevue is one of my favorite NW callers. Right along with Darryl - the one who incessently tries to veer every conversation into pot legalization.
(Not that there's anything wrong with that).
You can just overhear the call-screener having an aneurysm in the background everytime he calls in.

Tommy008

The Ray Taliaferro Show 1-5 a.m. mon thru fri day mornings on KGO810 San Francisco. they stream 24/7 on kgo.com if you can't pick up the signal, which is often drowned out by the bozos at our local Christian goofball station. Taliaferro is the king of the Bushhaters.

mercifurious

10-4.

I've actually not heard from Bellevue Happy since the Mike Webb days - ammonia & chlorine, that chat

Darryl may have plumb forgotten his talking-points/first-name

fuzznuts

How can anyone refute this? Pres Bush on Global Warming

Tommy008

I've actually heard Darryl get the best of that smug creep, Rabbi Lapin. believe it or not.

mercifurious

And this is "Legal Pot" Darryl, not "Hominid" Darryl, right?

sparky

Darryl 420...yep.

Ray was in a real crabby mood early this morning. When I got up to tape Stephanie, Ray was on my radio and he was yelling at someone..dont know who. It carried over to the next two callers and then I fell asleep. Sometimes he just laughs at the weirdos but sometimes....the Wrath of Ray is upon them.

Tommy008

yeppir pothead Darryl- really put that ass Lapin in his place. bwahahahaahahhh

Bob Alen

This is your best choice for replacing IMAS.
She has my vote.

GOOD TIMES!

fuzznuts

She is one HOT tomato!

FREMONT

When I went to the media event featuring the KPTK hosts, the audience was asked to submit questions for the talkers....the most frequently asked question was "Is Stephanie Miller available?"

If you missed Bil Moyers last Wednesday, you can read or listen here.

sparky

but....Stephanie Miller is already on KPTK...Im confused

mercifurious

I think Fremont means "available" as "ready for freddy", not candidate for hire at KPTK.

Thanks for the link, Fremont. Neighbor was dying because she missed it.

Oh, and tit-for-tat, for those who were not awake at 3am, here's video of Stephanie Miller's MSNBC debut:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=-IqKzg5P59Y

fuzznuts

thanks merci, MUCH better when she can be viewed!

sparky

Hey I got up at 3 each morning and started the VCR..it was worth it..some very very funny moments
