go beyond Israel (& whatever agenda he might have)and study (in a time line) Ritter's own words as reported by 'many other sources' (of all political slants)

See, this is precisely what we mean. How about giving us YOUR research, or these other sources.

We wouldn't use Ahmadinejad as a source. You shouldnt either.

But oh, that's right. You were thoroughly owned, but refused to keep digging, and are now trying to shut-down all discussion...

MATCH! Over!
Enough said!
It's over!

Duffman

dream on...tough to take isn't it; but your having to attack me or whom ever only demonstrates your frustration at getting totally (as you put it) 'owned'. [Doesn't sound like you took the time to read all parts...but it really doesn't matter, you're obviously locked in to Ritter's spoon-fed Kool-Aid anyway] Next?

lukobe

bizarre

Duffman

..but cheer up, you really are good at copying, pasting and italicizing...and bold to boot ! ha..

Duffman

Back on topic...any comment to Rev Jackson's apparent view on Hollywood?...strangely quiet on that one.

mercifurious

Again, intellectual honesty, and collegiate-level writing.

You don't hand in a thesis about Ritter being inaccurate without primary resource and then say to the prof.:

"I didn't do research, but here - read this entire cud written by a Serbian genocide denier and sift through it yourself to find Ritter's inaccuracies"

...and then expect anyone to give a standing ovation
...let alone a passing grade

It's your job - show us the money.

I know, it must hurt you deeply to have your scholarly inadequacies brought forward for all to see.

Truth hurts.

Duffman

You may find this hard to believe, but I actually made it through college without the help of this blog...and you know what - when you and I get ready to check out of this planet I doubt among our final words you'll find 'Gee, I wish I would have spent more time on that blathering blog'. Ha ha..have a good life.BUH BYE !

mercifurious

Again for the Bla'M Fam - so we all know scholar from dullard:

You don't hand in a thesis about Ritter being inaccurate without primary resources and then say to the prof.:

"Well, I didn't actually do any research, but here - read this entire cud written by a Serbian genocide denier and sift through it yourself to find Ritter's inaccuracies"

You can talk about how "you made it through college" until you're blue in the face, Duffman. But your strategem for proof (ie bluffing with poop hand hoping no-one notices) gives you away every time.

And no "MATCH! Over! Enough said! It's over! or Buh Bye!" until you:

A.) Provide your own in-depth study of Ritter's comments (with sources) - as you promised.
B.) Admit you have nothing, tuck-tail, and leave.

chucks

Geez
I just jumped in to read opins about the Oscars. Found a war of words. When I can reduce my elec and gas consumption 20%, than is when I will get on Gore's butte.
I never have watched the self promoting oscars, well at least not in the last ten years, but my neighbor kid got the role of Kate and Brads son in the movie Babel. His sister was played by Elle Fanning. So it was kind of exciting this year. You know, the old we had a pony in this show.
OK, resume crankiness.

Duffman

Yeah, I apologize to all (& you, Michael) for dragging this thread over here...just trying to prove a point (which I feel I did).
I enjoy the blog because it stimulates and will better try to maintain topic matter.

joanie

But Duffman, even Israel cites quotes out of context that contradict what he is trying to to prove. . . you gotta be a better reader.

And quoting out of context is always open to dispute. . . college grad? you should know that.

Can't discuss anything with a conservative: they know what they know and damned be anyone who tries to dispute it with facts.

You are conservative, Duffy. No left-leaner would argue the stuff you do.

joanie

Procaccino = 18%? No way. Somebody's hacking in . . . no es posible!

Must be nice Joanie having 'the truth' like you do. Remind me of some self righteous religious types I've met. You know, my way or the high way.

Awhile back the thread was on Producers and people were throwing out the good vibes and I noted your comment regarding Tina

"...Sorry, accolades but not from me.

Posted by: joanie | January 29, 2007 at 09:56 PM"

Still haven't answered there Joanie. Why do you have it in for the Producer of the Dave Ross Show, Tina. She runs a good show.

Steve

So it would seem that as long as you use the right sources of energy and pay off the energy companies with off-sets its ok to use as much power as possible. Sounds like a religion, go to church every sunday, put your money in the hat, you can sin all you want and still go to heaven

meander

al gore is a hypoctirical communist.

Pugetsound

Don't you recall the old saw about nothing worse than a reformed prostitute?
They discuss this carbon buy off deal. Instead of that, why not really reduce their so called footprint by reducing their use. Set the example if they truly believe.

Steve

I thought it was better to give than reduce.

joanie

You remind me, Puts, of the law student in "Paper Chase" who could remember everything but analyze nothing.

That why you quit law school?

Steve

Puts, for $99.00 a year you can be carbon neutral and use all the electricity, gas, oil, unlimited use of your Ipod, computer etc... Just send $99.00 to... Sounds like a 700 club infomercial.

cowpotpi3

This is for Duffman, the two tools that appeared late to the game and are uninterested in facts can stop reading now. I saw on CNN last night that they had a reporter follow up on this whole story, calling the power company that Gore uses and they confirmed that he pays 2x the normal rate for his "green power" from the website (greenpowerswitch) that I linked before. They also pointed out there were much smaller houses (than his 20 room 2 office monstrosity) that burned significantly more power than Gore does.

So to me this sounds like a clear case of people jumping on a non-story because they're pissed about his global warming stance. Consider the supposed "non-partisan" group that was quoted in the Drudge story, CNN also reported that their president is a 27 year old member of the American Enterprise Institute, one of the foremost right wing think-tank/oil lobby groups.

I find it wonderfully ironic that those on the right who are all for getting rich and having big houses are basically dissing Gore for one of their core values. Hypocrisy indeed.

Steve

Cow, you to can be carbon neutral for only $99.00 a year. It's not limited to the rich. Try it, your great-great-great-great grandchildren will appreciate it and the Energy Companies will be thankful too of course.

cowpotpi3

Well if you actually knew anything about the topic you would know that is not germane to the point, Steve.

Duff here is another interesting tid-bit for you: Dick Cheney's $186,000 power bill from 2001. Yikes. If we get to pillory one dude for being wasteful, what about the guy who wastes 10x more?

You must have a lot of stamina there Joanie, as you never seem to get tired of being wrong. I earned my JD back in the 90's.

Steve

Cow, I get the point, Gore feels that if he pays more for re-newable sources of electricity, buys carbon off-sets (because he can't be sure where the electricity is coming from), he can go out, tell everyone to conserve or Mother Earth will face a bleak future while he consumes as much as he wants. Where did I miss the point Cow?

Oh, maybe the part in the article you linked...

Republicans said the idea of shifting responsibility originated in the Clinton administration. They also said that Cheney's electricity consumption was 25 percent less than former Vice President Al Gore's was.

Nope, didn't miss that 5-1/2 year old part either, maybe you got all you needed in the beginning.

joanie

You must have a lot of stamina there Joanie, as you never seem to get tired of being wrong. I earned my JD back in the 90's.

Isn't it telling that nobody would ever have figured you to have a jd?

Better you weren't the top in your laws class . . .

Duffman

"Isn't it telling that nobody would ever have figured you to have a jd?"

Excuse me (& I mean no disrespect), but how can you portend to speak for 'everyone'?

joanie

cowpot . . . give up with these insufferable no-nothings. Unable to argue . . .unable to analyze . . . unable to think . . . unable to draw logical conclusions.

They are the reason we have a lying president, a mess in Iraq, a $8,776,210,080,703.08 national debt, our economy is held hostage by Asia, and veteran's come back to a broken health care system.

Why even try to argue with such ignorant and arrogant sheep.

joanie

How can I portend? By just doing it.
We get more legal stuff from Fremont than puts has ever posted . . . but, of course, Duffman, you have already shown us your ability to analyze and source.

Duffman

...but I am the dullard remember; and dont you want to help the less-informed and uneducated; isn't that your mantra..
Try to gather your flock to give you comfort and assist you with your total lack of recognition of someone's else's point because of political 'blinders' that you apparently wear.
Get with it; you're better than that!

joanie

You know Puts, I don't believe you. You haven't shown the ability to analyse and argue. I don't think you have it.

Sorry.

Duffman

"Why even try to argue with such ignorant and arrogant sheep."

Almost sounds like Hillary and the way she apparently regards the brave folks who try to protect her and serve or have served her.

Pugetsound

"You know Puts, I don't believe you. You haven't shown the ability to analyse and argue. I don't think you have it.

Joannie Broadstrokes
Don't be disingenuous. Your not sorry. I just hit a little too close with the Tina question.

joanie

What Tina questions? If this is an example of drawing conclusions, you fail.

Forgot to ask. Why do you have it in for the Producer of the Dave Ross Show, Tina. She runs a good show.

Pugetsound

C'mon Joanie Broadstrokes. The above is another example of the 'Sorry' with no meaning.

joanie

I still don't know what you are talking about. . .

My Tina comment spoke for itself. Do I need to further explain?

Sorry . . . means what it says as well.

You're tiresome, Puts. Continue rambling if you must. But, I'm done with this thread.

Pugetsound

Joanie,
We will just have to agree to disagree. I think Tina runs a very good show. You obviously don't but refuse to elaborate...

Steve

Yeah Cowpot, listen to your leader of the blogs. Follow her over the cliff like lemmings. And don't forget to spend that $99.00 to feel better that you are saving the Earth from sure Gore distruction.

joanie

Steve . . . at this point, you're pretty much showing a great deal of ignorance. Almost everybody world-wide including your own fave president is on the bandwagon. What do you know that the rest of us don't?

And Puts and Duff, you might get some learning listen to Olbermann's monologue

I don't always listen to him because I think his monologues are too long. But this one is pretty entertaining.

Pugetsound

"and Puts and Duff, you might get some learning listen to Olbermann's monologue"
Joanie Broadstokes:
don't you just love his breathless tone, patented pivots, tanned in a can, and the can't live without rolling up of the paper.
when is he gonna start bringing guests in that will debate him a bit? you do realize that keith is the edward r. murrow of our time, don't ya?

Duffman

...and may we conclude that you have something against Condi Rice? (I mean except her being a Repulican)? What exactly do you have against Dr Rice? Can you explain in detail (& not Ob's words...which were well scripted and written for him to read).

joanie

I said it was entertaining didn't I? What is with you two? You are beginning to sound like Dumb and Dumber . . .

Duffman

Is it entertaining to see Dr Rice get slammed like that? What do you find so entertaining about it?
[& I'm only one not two...so you need not speak to me collectively, as if I were in your 'sheet' concept]
Are you smarter than a 5th Grader?
Funny, that program is on the TV in the background as I sit here doing taxes...it's actually tougher than it sounds...

So, ma'am what exactly is it that you find entertaining about Dr Rice getting slammed like that by Ob?

Pugetsound

Joanie Broadstrokes.
I listened to Olby. Now listen to this. EVEN Glen Beck can break it down. The part about the mailbox is priceless. Joaniehaha

cowpotpi3

Well Steve-O if you can comprehend the very simple nature of satire you can see where I was coming from. Read it slowly and think "The Daily Show." Read s-l-o-w-l-y...now try and comprehend.

Now, the whole issue was not who is a big energy waster: It was debunking the patently BS hit job people are trying to pull on Gore because they're pissed he won an Oscar.

Now please feel free to bury your head in the sand and believe whatever your ideology tells you, facts and logic be damned. I do have to say I find it wonderfully ironic that you consider me some kind of follower. You're clearly the type that would disbelieve the color of the sky if the right person told you so.

joanie

Glen Beck? Are you kidding?

Keep trying puts.

Pugetsound

even beck can break olby down. even beck. now that has to hurt.

cowpotpi3

Message does not equal the messanger. For a partisan it's always easier to tear up a person rather than their argument if you have no basis to refute it, wouldn't you say PS? So do you have a refutation for what Olberman said in his segment or not? If you ever took Debate 101 you might realize that you actually have to refute an argument to debunk it ... not drag in 100% unrelated information to smear the messanger.

joanie

I think JD stands for juvenile delinquent in puts' case . . . hahahaha.
