December 31, 2006

Job is still not done. We need to kill Al Qaeda. Most of the bombing is still being done by Al Qaeda and its agents (former Baathests, Sunnis and imported terrorist, but all led by Al Qaeda). Than reprissal by Shite.
Like it or not, Whether we should have gone into Iraq or not, it is a job that must get done. It is still better to fight them in the sand box than in Seattle, LA, New York etc. Our Marines, Army and Air Force can win this thing and will. The only real obsticle is in D.C. I know many do not believe in our military or guvment but I would much rather it be in the hands of Marines than Chief Kerlikowski.
(taking cover now)

fire Shiers/hire Karel!

Seattle Mardi Gras Race Riot-2000. Sorry folks, but I'm unwilling to forget the time several years back when Chief Girlykowski ordered his officers to stand down and watch while a mob of black thugs beat to death a young white man who had come to the aid of a woman being beaten herself, because he didn't want the police force to look "racist",and was afraid of local black leaders/demogogues like Carl Mack. Someone asked about Seattle PC- that's Seattle PC at it's most craven and disgusting. A lot of people can't forget that, Mr. Girlykowski. May I call you Girly?

You know, I can't forget that either. It absolutely boggles my mind. When police throughout the country ask citizens to at least report when they see such acts, for police to have stood by in such a case is unbelievable.

Guess I'm understanding "Seattle PC" better but I'll take "Seattle PC" over red-state/red county PC any day.

haha " threeway conspiracy of Seatle area 'big men'" brought down Webb..... That Conspiracy Theorist is a real card.... Just now the hair stood up on the back of my neck, because I got the feeling that Erin Hart is secretly lurking on our blog, and reading our posts, without responding. Come out of there, Hart, you craven lurker!!

Tommie, are you clairvoyant too?

I agree Chuck, and I believe that our military can finish the job. But alas, the average American does not have the stomach for what it would take. And the far left compares our troops to Nazis (I would much rather have panties stuck on my head, than be fed feet first into a wood chipper).

But of course if the village idiot hadn’t recklessly invaded a sovereign country, they (the Islamic Fascists’) would have just left us alone. Forget about Khobar Towers, the USS Cole, the Embassies in Africa, those were aberrations. The innocent civilians killed in Kosovo don’t count either, they were Christian, and we know what Rosie O says about them.

And what really kills me, is that the very people who protest the war, the far left elitist, would be the first on the list for the Islamic fundamentalist. The very things that they stand for, is what has people like Bin Laden and his ilk so pissed off.

And please don’t lecture me on the Geneva Conventions; I learned my fill of the laws of land combat, rules of engagement and the Geneva Conventions. When an “insurgent” runs into a Mosque carrying an AK-47 and an RPG, that Mosque is no longer a sanctuary, it is now a battlefield position, and should be leveled with heavy artillery. And the last time I looked, enemy combatants that are taken prisoner, don’t get to go before a civilian court, they are held for the duration of hostilities. If that takes 50 years so be it.

Before anyone starts calling me a Chicken Hawk, I spent 13 years in the US Army, I had the pleasure of participating in the first Gulf war, Somalia, and Bosnia (remember Bosnia? 25 thousand troops for only one year?), if anything I’m the reluctant warrior, and I stated my reservations before the hostilities in Southwest Asia started again.

Not only can it be won, it must be won. How? Ask the French, they did it in Algeria. It won’t be pretty and innocent people will die. Is that cold and uncaring? Not anymore than the ones who would kill you simply for NOT believing.

In the words of that good New York Liberal, Billy Joel

“We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it.”

reluctant warrior? . . . more like propagandized militarist.

Have you ever been outside the Socialist Republic of Washington? There really are bad people out there that want to hurt you. I know it's hard to believe, but it's true.

I’m a white male, agnostic, believe in a woman’s right to choose, believe gays should be allowed to marry (why not, the rest of us have had to suffer), I think Rush Limbaugh is just as obnoxious as Rosie O, and that all the amendments to the Constitution are equal.

I hear Mike Webb carries a firearm, ya gotta love the second amendment, it ensures all the others.

For the record Afganistan was a yes. Iraq just plain stupid. Even Bush's old man knew better. Neocon wet dreams are not a basis for a war.

Oh, and btw it does matter how we got there because otherwise it'll just keep happening more often then less.

Once upon a time I was what was termed middle of the road with a left lean. Now apparently because I uppose the mess in Iraq, I'm some kind of far left nut case. Well to hell with that. I've never denigrated the military in my entire life and I'm old enough to have lived through the damn mess that we just had to stay in until we had 50,000 dead.

I'm pretty sure your right that the Marines could take care of this mess. Only one problem, the country is led by the most incompetent, stupid, dipshit ever. But I under stand that people would love to have a beer with him.

I talked till I was blue in the face before the last two presidential elections and they just clapped harder.

It's about time a lot of them got buyers remorse. I have a lot of faith in the people of this country. I knew they'd start to wake up from their 9/11 night terrors eventually. I wonder some times if it was like this after Pearl Harbor.

Noooo, I'm not bitter.

There are millions of "al quesadias" around the globe. You really think we can kill all of them??? Isnt that like attempting to sweep clean all the beaches of sand?

Bush has had several opportunities to get OBL and each time he chose not to. This was never about Osama for Bush. ( " I really dont give much thought to him..") It was about Saddam. Bla'M is right,,,Saddam is dead, Shrub got his chance to thumb his nose at Daddy, now lets stop this mess and bring our troops home.

Lu'be, your compatriot libertarian, R'ife has re-emerged...and T-8, your writing is remarkable no matter which nom de plume you use....
(Chux, you have mere hours to get your spellcheck installed....)

Hope you're drinking whitely, Sparkler and Joans...

Nope, do not think we can kill all of them. Don't see the wisdom of waiting till they tire of killing us though. We should just keep killing them until they tire of seeing their com padres dieing.

A shiraz from Australia, Fremont :-)

That same mentality has to apply to the likes of Kissinger then...he was responsible for the overthrow of the democraticlly elected president of Chile back in 1973

Saddam is Dead, Yahoooooooooooo

Now we all can enjoy a Saddam free era where hopefully we can all live in peace.

Anyone hear Goldy's fear factor for the left tonight.

"Maybe Bush will suspend the 08 elections"

Already putting the fear in the liberals that Bush will stay president.

For everyone, Happy New Year and as the new year reigns in say a little prayer for all our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen, who are out there on the frontlines, in the sky, and on the high seas protecting our great country from not only terrorist's but from all who want to do harm to any and all American citizens throughout the world whether they be Democratic, Independent, Green, or Republican.

Any predictions for the upcoming year?

Here's mine

Chicago Bears win the Superbowl.

Mariner's will win their division.

Sonic's will announce move to OK.

Dori will lose his Job.

Ross will admit he's a commie.

Ron and Don will be gone by June.

Goldy will be mistaken for Erin Hart again.

Air America will go bankrupt and off the air.

"Words" Jeffers will add a few more words to his volcabulary.

Another big storm will hit the Pacific Northwest in February.

The Viaduct will still be standing at the end of the year.

Global warming will be proven wrong.

A prominent Democrat Presidential Candidate wannabe will walk away from politics

Happy New Year

You sound like Frank Burns

Well, haven't you all been busy. After having a truly fine celebration, I"m sort of dishearted to read the warmongering that continues in the hearts and minds of otherwise good people? (Not so sure about that.)

chucks, the job will never be done. Just how much killing and maiming of innocents abroad can you stand? I'm guessing a lot. It seems your good Christian soul reaches to the American coastline and stops.

BTW, it wasn't the marines, army or air force being called upon. As I recall, didn't Bush send his old hideout, the Guard, to die in Iraq. Or am I mistaken here . . .

And recife, maybe you've got the stomach for all that killing but some of us think we have the intelligence to find a different way of solving problems.

How quaint of you to ignore the fact that while we are killing and maiming hundreds of thousands of men, women and chilren in a country that had nothing to do with 9-11, Bush "doesn't really think about him anymore." Well, recife, refresh my memory: who is this "him" that Bush has so easily forgotten?

You sound like two lonely old soldiers living in your glorious war-trodden past. It is a pathetic and grotesque future I see for a world inhabited by people who think war is the answer to everything.

Robinz, thank you for adding a little common sense to the conversation. Happy New Year to you . . . such as it is.

Steve . . . now that Saddam is dead, please let me know when the peace starts. Thanks.

Just between us, I sort of liked the peace before the Iraq war. I'll bet the more than 100,000 dead Iraqis and 20,000 dead and disabled soldiers liked it better too . . .

Just sayin'. . .

recife: Socialist Republic of Washington?

You mean the place where people still care about each other?

If socialism works for Washington, why don't you want to export it, recife? Feels pretty good to me.

Lord, you people make me nervous!

Jeeze Joanie, dont you ever sleep?? I was in bed by...2 am!

Joanie, your so sweet caring for the enemy so much. Maybe you can take your class on a field trip to the Federal Building and show them how mean their government is.

Boris Badenov

Oh Christ, they're baaaaack! The creeps from West Coast Wellness. The "Stepford" people. I can see I'll have to buy a stereo radio with a remote.

Oh, I see. Sorry, Steve. I didn't the Iraqi people were our enemy. The Resident Idiot led me to believe it was Hussein . . .

And Steve, why do you hate American kids so much?

Boy, I bet Saddam is sorry he arranged 9-11 now!

BTW, did anyone just hear Dave Ross? He played a tape recorded off CSpan of Johnson admitting in 1966 that he didn't know how to end the Viet Nam War and save face for himself. He admitted the whole thing was going nowhere and had been a mistake seven years before the war finally ended. At that time, 95% of the soldiers whose names are on the Wall were still alive.

Johnson also said that he was afraid Dirksen would cut off the funds. But, he never did.

He also read a Gerald Ford quote from July 2004 given to Bob Woodward with the promise that it would not be made public till after his death wherein he said he would not have gone to war with Iraq. That he would have continued and initiated other measures but not war. It was a mistake.

Dave wondered why Ford didn't say what he thought at the time. But, it was, afterall, an election year. Ford was always go along to get along. So, even he has responsibility for the ongoing murders of American kids at the hands of a President who doesn't know how to get out and isn't willing to admit when he's wrong. And the responsibility of a bunch of incompetent and timid Democrats who will probably not have the courage or good sense to cut off the money.

Those who fail to learn from history are destined to repeat it.

And in my mind, Ford didn't pardon Nixon to "save the country." He pardoned Nixon because he didn't have the courage not too.

Republicans sure didn't care about saving the country when they had the chance to impeach a Democratic President for a little extracurricular sex. No, the country be damned . . . and now we know the country was pre-terrorist attack. But, the "gotcha" game was too good to pass up for the Republicans.

They save their "not good for the country" routines for their own corrupt, evil, and hateful selves.

And Sparky, on a more positive note, I found the Old Vine Red! Yes! Very nice and thanks! It is lot 41 - right?

Happy New Year to all my enlightened and loving friends! Oh, and you, too, Ryder . . . mmmmmmm mm!

coochie mama

repubs most tired line is "if you disagree with the war, you hate the troops."

several reputable, recent polls of the troops indicate, in similar number to the US general population, that they disagree with the handling of this war and want out also.

so, do these troops hate themselves? are they also traitors to the "glorious cause"?

(i can't wait to see them rabidly start the discrediting: all the polls/surveyers/surveyees are flawed. MSM hates bush. clinton's penis.)

ah, well, whatever it takes to avoid reality and continue drinking the kool-aid.

tunnel vision and obstinance are apparently cherished values for the 13%ers.

it must be excedingly painful to realize you've been snookered and used by the same folks you so fervently idolized.

BTW, to all you good ol' party boys(including N and Will), I bet Hong Tran would have had the courage to cut off the money . . . she knows what war does to a country.

Just sayin'. . .

We're all starting the New Year the same way we started it last year, minus Saddam and Ford.

It's interesting cooch that the O'Reilly in Iraq special didn't show anyone "disagreeing with the handling of the war". Fox gives us one view, and then let us decide.

Is there red AND blue kool-aid?

Frank gave away the ending to Charlotte's Web today. Good going Frank. Even Tina Nole yelled at you through the intercom.

Joanie, thats what you get for listening to the Democratic leadership. Next time pay closer attention to the news.

Anyone get to see that video of Saddam getting his due. Not much of a fan of watching one die but watched and was not impressed with the quality of the video but the results were great.

Joanie, I was going to say something but decided it was in bad taste like your murder rant above.

coochie mama

it seems Americans really enjoy snuff films.

You mean the place where people still care about each other?

Joanie, ever heard of "Seattle Ice"? People around here ACT like they care about each other--but I don't think they really do.

Joannie says on Pres Ford:
"He pardoned Nixon because he didn't have the courage not too."

Ford knew that he was making a tough decision, he made it, and stood by it even though it cost him the election in 76. Historian Michael Beschloss said it best on Ford, '...he never belly ached about the election being stolen even though he lost in 76 by less than two thousand in two states that would have turned it around for him. He didn't spend the next ten years -after conceeding the election- claiming it was stolen or bad mouthing the conduct of Carter in an effort to undermine.' (can you say, Al Gore?)
Joanie, you say that Ford didn't have courage I sure would like to have you compare yourself to Mr. Ford in terms of his courageous service in WW2 and tell me he didn't possess courage.
BTW, I didn't agree with the Nixon pardon but I can appreciate Ford's conduct and his willingness to accept responsibility for it.
I had hoped you had changed for the better there, Joanie. I guess you haven't.

Aw, c'mon Steve. Whenever has bad taste stopped you before? Maybe I am having an influence after all . . gee, wouldn't that be nice.

PS: Ford knew that he was making a tough decision, he made it, and stood by it even though it cost him the election in 76.

How do you know? Were you inside his head? In Congress he was known as a steady eddy never riling up anybody that he might need later on . . . Why isn't my opinion as sound as yours.

Historian Michael Beschloss said it best on Ford, '...he never belly ached about the election being stolen even though he lost in 76 by less than two thousand in two states. . .

Was there evidence it was stolen? Are you referring now to the Republican rant that Gregoire stole the 2004 election?

What was the evidence it was stolen that would have given him the reason to whine that he so bravely withstood? Honestly, PS, that's one I don't know. I hope you'll tell me.

Why would he badmouth Carter? I haven't seen an election yet where candidates don't try to undermine each other . . . I have to admit, I'm not sure we are on the same page here. Enlighten me. What was special about this one?

I sure would like to have you compare yourself to Mr. Ford in terms of his courageous service in WW2. . .

Wouldn't it be kind of silly for me to compare myself to sometone who fought in WW2? I wasn't even born yet? Or is the only courage you respect that of a warrior? Sorry, I guess I'm stuck here. Just don't see the point or even how it is possible.

Now, if you wanted to use that analogy to compare Bush and Kerry, I'd understand the point.

I didn't agree with the Nixon pardon...

Given your zeal for Clinton's impeachment, I wouldn't have expected you to agree with Nixon's pardon.

I had hoped you had changed for the better there, Joanie.

Well, keep trying PutS. I always hate to disappoint my "betters." :)

I wonder how the libs would like Kerry if his deferrment had been approved.

Ron of Rum and Dumb is against Iraq from performing the execution of Saddam. Ron let them run their own country, they don't need your help. Stay out of their affairs.

Yes! please send your message to president Bush--
George!! let them run their own country, they don't need your help. Stay out of their affairs.

My point exactly Sparky.

Sparky, your not a blonde by chance are you?

Dori was whining about state taxes again today. the little guy was just back from vacation, and said at one point that he had thought for some time during his break about where he could move his family to, in order to get out from under our oppressive high-taxed liberalism.

let's donate to help the wee little fella(Dori) move

I'm good for 10 dollars
