right-wing blogs we like

  • The Reagan Wing
Hearin lies the real heart of Washington State Republicans. Doug Parris runs this red-meat social conservative group site which bars no holds when it comes to saying who they are and who they're not; what they believe and what they don't; who their friends are and where the rest of the Republicans can go. Well-written, and flaming.

Thanks Styblehead!

mercifurious

On behalf of everyone here in the Bla'M Fam, I'd like to congradulate Styblehead on the OUTSTANDING upturn in his ratings - a whole 0.01%!

Cliff Mass and Jeff Renner are two forces behind the campaign to reinvent the math curriculum in Seattle and Bellevue particularly and get it legislated in Olympia through a group called "Where's the Math." Guess these atmospheric science majors are big-time activists. Cliff, especially, has been outspoken in Seattle.

Sorry about Dave Ross. Interesting that Reagan is doing a bit better. Dave is suffering from the crossover to AA but some people apparently return to Reagan at noon . . .

Also, your comment, Michael, about Schram finding less and less about which to disagree with Carlson may bode badly for their show.

Who knows? :)

How in hell does anyone get through to the no wits at Entercom that Shires and trucking are offensive yet boring. This programming lacks even the titillating provocateurs of the Publiconazis. Medved may have the morals of Abramovitz, but Medved is literate and Limbaugh could make a good living as contemporary Mort Sahl.

I have an idea ... clone the Montlake. Move the Goldstein fan club from Montlake to Eastlake. The barkeep can be the host and KIRO can sell virtual beer.

John

When is KVI going out of business? What a bunch of fucking losers. I can't listen any more, I'll fall asleep and crash my car.

coiler

If you must crash while listening, please be on Vashon Island, here is KVI's transmitter location

Dave Ross was better before he started asserting his own view point so consistently.

Used to do a great job of facilitating open discussion on any given topic. Now he's condescending (yet polite) to anyone who doesn’t agree with him.

So he looses the lefty’s to Air America – and the rest of us go elsewhere.

Commentators make for far better radio. Maybe their ratings will pick up in the long run…

Wish they’d put Reagon on some other time when I could hear him – I’m not entirely down with his politics – but he seems less of a nanny-stater than Dave Ross.

Reichart is a weenie and I nearly gagged when I heard Shiers doing his "reading" the other night. My husband and I both listened; between gales of laughter and utter astonishment, we remarked that he sounded like a train wreck. Wasn't that the awfulest thing you ever heard?

And he actually thinks he has TALENT!!!

DOUG.

Remember when Bush FLIPPED OFF AMERICA? BIg time!

coiler

Yes, he and Big Dick also called Adam Clymer of the NYT "a major league asshole, big time" on a open mic. Something the kool aid drinkers have forgotten

neo-realist

But how is Ed Schultz doing against Medved and Dori?

slugworth

Bring back Mike Webb!

mac

Yeah Mike is better than Shiers, but all he can talk about is Bush. Don't know if you listen to his podcast, but all it is is him playing tapes from Keith Olberman and CNN and then Mike laughing.

umo

When Mike was on KIRO he was only on the air for 3hrs/day. Now his internet radio show is on all day and night.

coiler

Do you expect any host to stay up all day and nite, doing live radio?

    • KUOW FM 94.9
Seattle's foremost public radio news and talk.
    • KVI am 570 KHz
Visit the burnt-out husk of one of the seminal right-wing talkers in all the land. Here's where once trilled the reactionary tones of Rush Limbaugh, John Carlson, Kirby Wilbur, Mike Siegel, Peter Weissbach, Floyd Brown, Dinky Donkey, and Bryan Suits. Now it's Top 40 hits from the '60's & '70's aimed at that diminishing crowd who still remembers them and can still hear.
    • KTTH am 770 KHz
Right wing home of local, and a whole bunch of syndicated righties such as Glennn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Medved, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Lars Larsony, and for an hour a day: live & local David Boze.
    • KPTK am 1090 KHz
Syndicated liberal talk. Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes, Norman Goldman fill in the large hole to the left on Northwest radio dial.
    • KLFE AM 1590 kHz
Syndicated right-wing 2nd stringers like Mark Levin, Bill Bennett, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Dennis Miller and Hugh Hewitt inhabit this timid-voiced neighbor honker for your radio enjoyment (unless you're behind something large like Costco).

Comprehensive list of every danged AM & FM station on the dial.
