I have such respect for Zogby and Trippi. Neither are radio guys necessarily. Trippi was a masterful netroots innovator for Dean . . . so he may have the instinct for this. Hope so.

Nice to have Malloy back.

Robin

Malloy has never been my cup of tea but I am so happy to have any and all liberal voices added to the air waves. This is good news.

For the most part I've joined in the disdain for KPTK in preference of KIRO, mostly on the ground that I prefer live-and-local to syndicated content.

I've been pleasantly surprised to hear Scott Conner's "Gardening in the Northwest" on Saturday mornings, opposite Cisco Morris. A huge improvement on Cisco 's KIRO show, Conners actually spends the time talking about gardening and answering caller's questions, as opposed to filling a show with anecdotal stories and "ooh-la-lah" (the ooh-la-la's seem to take up about an hour of airtime just by themselves.)

It's the first 1090 show I've tuned into on purpose.

Scott connor's show is outstanding..I learn a lot every time.

Other Steve

Beeping Bush this, Beeping Bush that, Beeping Bush did this, Beeping Bush done that, Thats all I have ever heard him say on his show. Wait, I think I heard him say that this Beeping Bush will destroy this country once a few years ago, what a hypocrite.

As we found over time with the other Mike (Webb), having "any & all liberal voices" isn't always what it's cracked up to be. To much of both Mike's is empty air: hours of anger & bloviating without focus, reason, and primary research (ie, not borrowed elsewhere)

Bush is a stinkhole - I think we can all agree on that (sold out wingnut minds excluded). But running with stinkhole analogies is only 1/4 of the pie. Turning the corner into "why is he a stinkhole" specifically, & offering alternative solutions completes the loop. ("Alternative Solutions"= Understanding natural cultural non-British oil related boundaries and letting Iraq divide, dealing with upcoming African Afghanistans, de-friending & sanctioning Saudi Arabia/Uzbekistan/Pakistan, & tilting away from Israel toward Lebanon.)

There are better progressive hosts on the airwaves that need to be brought forward before Malloy. Look local.

Welcome back, Malloy!

Well I'd bet money he'll take the 11-2 spot, replacing Jon Elliott and the 1-hour of Randi they rerun even though they just ran her show two hours earlier before Elliott. I knew that setup had to be temporary, because it made absolutely no sense to rerun a show within 3 hrs.

joanie

I've learned to like Jon Elliott . . . but Mike is definitely late night fare.

Leland Milton Goldblatt

He is also on Sirius now. With Bush in power he comes off normal.

Visit the burnt-out husk of one of the seminal right-wing talkers in all the land. Here's where once trilled the reactionary tones of Rush Limbaugh, John Carlson, Kirby Wilbur, Mike Siegel, Peter Weissbach, Floyd Brown, Dinky Donkey, and Bryan Suits. Now it's Top 40 hits from the '60's & '70's aimed at that diminishing crowd who still remembers them and can still hear.
    • KTTH am 770 KHz
