Ron Reagan is filling in for Dorki today...hmmmmm, when Erin went on vacation, she came back to no job.....

Mike Barer

It's too early to declare the Mariners "Out of the basement" They had a good stretch of ball that evened out a bad stretch but there is little evidence of what will play out over the course of the season as they go back to playing their stronger rivals.

Brian: I liked your post. As a respecter and liker of all animals, it made me smile. Thanks for sharing. :)

Can't wait for a ratings system that is reliable - if that is possible. The current one just doesn't seem to do the job. Given the number of breaks and commercials, I'm surprised anyone keeps listening. But we do.

You've missed most of it, but Dave Ross' show is absolutely riveting today. A must hear show! Talking about Riley Rogers . . . so sad.

Michael, it looks like corporations trump the Christian base on net neutrality. Time to worry. :( (Got this off Goldy's site) "sign petititon to preserve net neutrality"

David Tatelman

Gawd, I love the Dori Monson Show today.

It's so much better when Dori is gone!

Cute, but a waste of bandwidth. Please stop posting cut and paste of ancient weblore.

I like Ron Reagan and have enjoyed seeing him on MSNBC from time to time.

Earlier this week I had a chance to listen to Ron's show on KIRO radio for the first time, and then I listened to him for a few minutes today. In both cases he tied the subject matter to the Catholic Church.

I realize that Ron and the Catholic Church are on opposite sides in regards to embryonic stem cell research. My question is, does he rag on the Catholic Church everyday? Or is it just a coincidence that he did it twice this week when I happened to be listening?

Just wondering.

Caytie, I heard him say that the Catholic Church has said that they would excommunicate anyone who supported stem cell research but I didn't think he was ragging on them. . .

Did I miss something?

Regarding your question: I've been listening to his hour pretty frequently the last two weeks and haven't heard him do that.

David: I've been tuned into KIRO all day and it has been like old times. Great radio!

Of course, now I'm back to Franken.

That would be great business on the part of KIRO. Dump their highest rated talker to speed their slide to the bottom.

Mariner baseball is the direct cause of KOMO's rise in the ratings. KOMO paid a king's ransom for baseball broadcast rights and it will take them years to recoup that investment. If the Mariners drop out of playoff contention...bye bye KOMO.

Wow, if Mr. Monson is KIRO's highest rated talker, things must have gone from bad to worse at our local "flagship station".

That's a crying shame. I do have good news however. I saved 20% on my car insurance today, and my IPOD now has over 7,000 songs on it, allowing my life to remain Monson-free.

But KIRO is the liberal station. How come they're not successful????

DORI is a LIBERAL? I though AA was the liberal station . . .

stodge charger

Swass, you must be the person who wrote the blurb about Dori, calling him the "filet mignon" of talk radio...lolololol

Only those to the right of Phyllis Schlafly could think of KIRO as liberal...especially Dorki

organization man

Bring back Lou Pate.

Dori is one of a small minority of non-liberal talkers on KIRO and happens to have the highest rated show, to the chagrin of Dori-haters on this blog. I have not been listening much to him recently and not much to KIRO, but more to KOMO during this last rating period. Carlson-Schram are probably helping KOMO's ratings some, but mostly the streaking Mariners.

Ron Reagan has a sharp delivery - wonder where he got that ? but his politics are different from his father - but similar to his older sister - Patty. Ron and Don are not locals and have a bend toward sports, which makes them refreshing in short spurts once in a while, IMO.
