If they made KTTH a male interest station I don't think they would get alot of notice or listeners because if you have ever turned the radio to AM you know it for political talk, religious talk or mexican music. People who listened to Leykis came from music formatted stations while hopping the dial and probably won't look for anything on AM radio. People who currently listen to AM radio want to hear news, political talk, religious talk or mexican music and probably wouldn't give up what they came for the listen to male shauvenists.

Alot of FM morning shows are basicly what the Buzz was all day long, which is shock jocks. AM morning radio doesn't realy have shock jocks. Music and shock jocks go well together because you don't take either one very seriously but political talk and music don't fit well because it's awkward to transition from happy fun music to social concerns.

Tom Leykis and AM radio would be like oil and water.

If KIRO puts a syndicated show on, they lose me and no doubt a lot of others. The only advantage KIRO has over KPTK (or satellite radio) is that they are local and live. If they go syndicated, they lose that advantage and I have no reason to bother listening to them. I can get news and traffic elsewhere. And I sure as hell don't want to hear KTTH-type shows on KIRO.

Fred

Andrew: Leykis is already on the AM Dial in Portland----

Are they getting decent ratings?

Seabeck

C'mon. Is Dori monson really posting on this site?

Likelyhood Of Authenticity: 0.0%

Rush Limbaugh

Are you all this gullible?

p.s. Dori...love your work.

blathering michael

I assure you; the Dori Monson post wasn't real. Neither was Rush Limbaugh's. We can only dream.

tim

when is KIRO going to wake up and dump Lou Pate, Kiro midnight migget masturbator!

God

Midnight midget masturbator? I agree that Pate is a deuche, but I dont know if he deserves to be called a midget masturbator.

Daimyo

I heard that Robin, Maynard and Dori are teaming up to do a sextalk overnighter on a local undisclosed community college public access station. Can't wait.....

This is crap about leykis..He did teach some of us to be better people..I have seen it in one person in particular..He was a serious slacker had kids didnt work lived off his girlfriend and listened to leykis..Well one day he thought it would be cool to tell leykis he was "Mooching" off this woman Tom told him to grow up..Be a man..He has kids he needs to think about now..And you know what "HE DID". It took a kick in the ass from his favorite talk show host to help his life out..He is a good father, Wonderful husband, and all around good person, He now has a great 9-5 stopped pot also..All for the sake of his favorite "Talk show host"

    • KUOW FM 94.9
Seattle's foremost public radio news and talk.
    • KVI am 570 KHz
Visit the burnt-out husk of one of the seminal right-wing talkers in all the land. Here's where once trilled the reactionary tones of Rush Limbaugh, John Carlson, Kirby Wilbur, Mike Siegel, Peter Weissbach, Floyd Brown, Dinky Donkey, and Bryan Suits. Now it's Top 40 hits from the '60's & '70's aimed at that diminishing crowd who still remembers them and can still hear.
    • KTTH am 770 KHz
Right wing home of local, and a whole bunch of syndicated righties such as Glennn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Medved, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Lars Larsony, and for an hour a day: live & local David Boze.
    • KPTK am 1090 KHz
Syndicated liberal talk. Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes, Norman Goldman fill in the large hole to the left on Northwest radio dial.
    • KLFE AM 1590 kHz
Syndicated right-wing 2nd stringers like Mark Levin, Bill Bennett, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Dennis Miller and Hugh Hewitt inhabit this timid-voiced neighbor honker for your radio enjoyment (unless you're behind something large like Costco).

Comprehensive list of every danged AM & FM station on the dial.
