From the NY Sun...More "real" news about the ongoing difficulty at AAR. They are in trouble. Finances, ratings and now the loan scam that is real and not going away anytime soon just as Able Danger is going to just re-affirm in peoples minds that the Democrats can't be trusted with homeland security. Prediction Michael, by autumn, the only discontent is going to be with the Democrats. The party that left me and millions of other centrists some time ago.

An attorney whose client is suing the Air America radio network said yesterday that the May litigation is part of a larger attempt by the client, an owner of radio stations, to collect more than $1.5 million it says it is owed.
The attorney, Randy Mastro, with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, represents MultiCultural Radio Broadcasting, one of the largest minority-owned broadcasting companies in the country. Mr. Mastro served as a deputy mayor in the Giuliani administration.

The lawsuit filed by MultiCultural in May charges that the transfer of ownership of Air America to Piquant LLC from Progress Media in May 2004 was illegal and was intended only to maintain the network's assets while abandoning its creditors.

"It's called a fraudulent conveyance - same people, same assets, they are just trying to avoid their liabilities," Mr. Mastro said yesterday. "A company that has debts can't just change its name, assume all the assets, and refuse to pay its liabilities. ... The same individuals who contacted us and described themselves as Piquant were also part of the management and ownership of Air America."

Last November, a court ordered Air America to pay MultiCultural more than $255,000, and the suit filed in May seeks to claim that money.

A spokeswoman for Piquant, Jaime Horn, released the following statement: "At this time we will not comment on this or any litigation resulting from the action of Evan Cohen and Progress Media. If Mr. Mastro wants to argue his case in the press, he is welcome to. We prefer to wait for the more appropriate venue - a court of law." Evan Montvel Cohen was director of the liberal radio network and a principal of Progress Media.

Isn't it interesting how tired the Republican Spin machine is sounding right now. They have nothing positive to say, and no good arguments in their favor, so they are down to the only thing that plays, personal attacks and taking things out of context. The last refuge of the blathering right wingers, calling people anti-american or unpatriotic, is all you hear these last few weeks.

And none of it is taking hold. Their attacks on Ms. Sheehan have done nothing but shown how bitter they are. Their attacks on Air America show how scared they are. Their leaders are splintering and facing criminal charges (today, Bob Taft, tomorrow Tom Delay). What could you expect other than the tired sounds of failure that make up most of Limbaughs or Hannity's show of late.

Heck, Limbaugh is forced to lie to cover up his stupid statments of claiming that everything that Ms. Sheehan is doing is fake. And is spending half his show either attacking her, or defending a president who's popularity and job approval numbers continue to plumet daily. He had to repeat a segment defending the president's failure to personally sacrifice when he expects so many other to do so, obvioulsy because the hyporcracy of the right is becoming more and more glaring.

It is sort of sad, but the right has brought it upon itself. Having spent the last four years in a house made up of nothing but lies eventually will wear you out.

Karma can be cruel....what goes around usually comes around to bite ya in the butt...

What gives with you and Brian Maloney?
Maloney, who hasn't had a full time job in radio in a decade, is writing non-stop about Air America (yawwwwwn).
You, who hasn't had a full time job in...uh, well, ever, are writing non-stop about drivel.
How about going back to your non stop obsession with KIRO and Prell and Val Stoufer.

You left wing and right wing idiots would not do anything about 9/11 but put your head up your ass.

I too check out The Baloney Boy. The other day I offered a couple of suggestions on where they could put his and Michelle's TOP-NOTCH SLEUTHING skills to good use. (No not there).

I suggested Rep Cunningham, Abramoff, Bob Taft, Tom Delay and ASARCO Bankruptcy to start.

I got back an interesting reply from one WONDERDUCK: "As I've pointed out once, whether you think, Mick, that it's a non-story or not, it IS radio business, which makes it perfect fodder for a RADIO blog."

He claimes that Blog is ALL ABOUT RADIO.

I find it interesting that they attack Al Franken in almost every paragraph yet he is ONLY an On Air Host. He isn't management.

Just like the the president he has his eye on the wrong target.

Tim! What's your point!?

Tim's point was that you have to post it twice for some reason

On a total hijack, anyone know whats up with the sudden 2week vacation of all the KIRO top talent? Isn't that kinda wierd, or something?
