Michael says,
"It's the brainchild of tireless activist Andrew Villeneuve, Exec. Director of the Northwest Progressive Institute and Tim Eyman's worst nightmare since Andrew was 14 years old."

And how has he done that? Eyman, it seems to me, has done the asskicking. Just ask the whining Dems in state government.

"Eyman, it seems to me, has done the asskicking."

Oh really? Since I started fighting Eyman, he's had ONE sucessful initiative (I-776) and four failures in a row - I-267, I-807, I-864, and I-892. It remains to be seen whether I-900 will pass or not. It's a lame initiative that's so poorly written it cannot inflict much harm. Nevertheless, we will oppose it because it is stupid public policy.

Democrats in state government are not whining. People like you are.

blathering michael

Dude, I forgot to mention: Andrew can speak for himself...

Post hoc, ergo propter hoc?

Just what did Tim do with all the money he took?

Sparky says,
"Just what did Tim do with all the money he took?"
Who cares? His car tax initiative which passed overwhelmingly only to be thrown out by the courts and then rolled into law by a quivering knock kneed govenor saves me over $1K a year in frivolous taxes. Eyman is OK with me. Anything to keep the loonies from confiscating more money from the public is great in my book.

Yeah who cares? As long as people like Eyeman are around and thier followers, stealing from post office boxes at night is considered a virtue and not a moral sin. Eyeman and his ilk are scum! Thanks for clearing that up for us

The beauty of the initiative process is that we, the citicizens, get to vote on an idea. The person behind the initiative is secondary. Tim Eyeman can be a loser but his ideas can be winners.

The same is not true when voting for candidates. We have to vote on the whole package: person + ideas.

It sounds like the people that are against the initiative process dislike giving the people their voice, as guaranteed by the State of Washington constitution. Stop talking about Tim Eyeman and focus on the substance of the initiatives.

Stop talking about Tim Eyeman and focus on the substance of the initiatives.

Tim makes himself a target...so far his initiatives have not stood up in court. If I was a taxpayer who wanted my taxes reduced, I would find someone who can write an initiative that can stand up in court.
I also would not want one who helped himself to the funds that were supposed to support the effort.

John Raynor

I need to contact Tim Eyeman about a change in our property tax laws. How to contact?

He lives out at Harbor Pointe..
