Ron Reagan, is a Seattleite who’s done his national show live on and from the insufferable, CBS-owned KPTK at 3p since he syndicated with Air America.

Air America's got a new website that works!

After all it's been through: Evan Cohen, bankruptcy, and Randi Rhodes, there seems to be a stability there now. The network/syndicator keeps putting one foot in front of the other.

finally last week relaunched their website that looks great, and works too- both attributes missing from their old site.

Ron Reagan (KPTK m-f, 3-6p) did a brave thing: he brought his uncontrollable, unrehearseable, unpredictable, 88-year-old Republican mother on his show Wednesday.

It probably could have gone either way, but it turned out OK.

President and Nancy Reagan had a civil, if not downright affectionate relationship with Sen. Ted Kennedy, and it was sweet to hear about it from her on the radio.

(We have an uncontrollable, unrehearseable, unpredictable, 90-year-old Republican mother, so we know how that might have turned out. We remember hearing Michael Medved's late mother unscripted on his show once; her conversation turned into a sharp on-air rebuke of Medved's father's philandering. It was a little hilarious, though we sympathized with Michael -- god knows such embarrassments can and do happen to all of us children of the smart, yet repressed women of the so-called Greatest Generation).

Ron reagan for mayor of seattle?

A robo-call polling Seattle voters the last few days tests Mayor Greg Nickels against potential candidates, Mark Sidran, Peter Steinbreuck, Nick Licata and... Ron Reagan! (KPTL m-f, 3-6p).

It's a mystery who paid for the survey, but we're guessing it's not Ron Reagan.

Ron reagan writes for newsmax???

We like reading right-wing stuff, as you know, but we couldn't have predicted reading Air America talk host Ron Reagan (KPTK m-f, 3-6p) having fun and making one-liners like a liberal Shecky Greene in the latest edition of the print Newsmax Magazine. 

It's a regular column called If I Were President… where the featured person tells the things he would do if he was POTUS. Previous contributors: Donald Trump, Vincente Fox, Chuck Norris, and George W. Bush when he actually WAS president!

Michael reagan: meager end to a meager radio career

As rookie Ron Reagan is rising up on Air America, (KPTK  m-f,3-6p) hi older step-brother Michael Reagan, a veteran radio broadcaster is down for the count.

Michael Edward Reagan, 63, former speedboat racer, and adopted son of Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman, is one of the weakest talents in right-wing radio. He's milked his famous father's name shamelessly to no avail -- his radio career has been on a descending glide path for years.

This month he was dropped from the third rate network right-wing he was on and picked up by a fourth-rate one. He was dropped to make room for Roger Hedgecock, the disgraced former mayor of San Diego cum radio talk host.

Tina nole producing the ron reagan show... again!

Former Dave Ross producer Tina Nole will produce Air America's syndicated, one-hour Ron Reagan Show, (KPTK m-f, 6-7p). This is a venerable relationship: Tina produced Reagan during most of his radio toe-dipping at Seattle's KIRO which ended in 2007 after 14 months.

Tina just left CBS Radio and will do the show from New York; Reagan does the show from downtown Seattle.

Air America dot com gets new direction; sam seder & marc maron get a teevee show

Press releases barely out last week announcing the hiring of Beau Friedlander as website Editor-in-Chief, and already new content, expansion and improvements are showing.

"The goal," Friedlander told BlatherWatch, "is to be a place for people to go when news is happening if they want a progressive spin on it."

It's to be a real-time, live stream of progressively-bent news, video, and opinion.

There's not much video up yet on the site, but Sam Seder and Marc Maron's new video show, Maron v. Seder will start up Oct. 1. Here's their interim site with some toothsome videos.

"The on-line part will be talking to the radio part, and the radio part will be talking to a video part all three parts will be creating dynamic content," Friedlander said.
