right-wing blogs we like
The Reagan Wing Hearin lies the real heart of Washington State Republicans. Doug Parris runs this red-meat social conservative group site which bars no holds when it comes to saying who they are and who they're not; what they believe and what they don't; who their friends are and where the rest of the Republicans can go. Well-written, and flaming.
Orbusmax inexhaustible Drudgery of NW conservative news
The Radio Equalizer prolific former Seattle KVI, KIRO talk host speaks authoritatively about radio.
Conservative talk radio was invented in Seattle, now it’s as endangered as the wild Puget Sound salmon. and let’s face it, save Dave Ross, there ain’t no local liberal talk.
With the KVI’s elimination of Kirby Wilbur, another block of local airtime went to out-of-town, out-of-touch, syndicated blabbermeisters- sending a butt-load of ad $ somewhere else.
I'm lovingly aggressive [with The Gay] the same I'd be for a murderer or an adulterer. I give 'em the love of God. If they reject it, I give them the discipline of God. ~~ Rev. Ken Hutcherson
Having a black friend really works for Rush Limbaugh so he takes Rev. Ken Hutcherson’s
calls.
Kirby Wilbur said it Friday: if there were no holiday displays in the capitol building, "it would be better than the mess we've got down there."
Our sediments exactly!
The atheists may have won one for once. The strategy behind their controversial sign was that no holiday messages and displays should be posted where the state does its secular business.
"You have led the State of Washington to be the armpit of America. And I'm afraid that our governor is the one adding the offensive odor to the armpit," Rev. Ken "Hutch" Hutcherson told reporters,
Today's noisy non-event in Olympia protesting free speech, produced a couple hundred Christians, and three ironic counter-protesters holding up signs that said, "Get Over It."
The atheist sign stolen from the Capitol rotunda this morning turned up a few hours later at country music station KMPS.
According to the Seattle Times, a KMPS employee said the sign was turned in at 10a by someone who didn't say where they'd gotten it. The person only said to give the sign to KMPS host Ichabod Caine.
David Goldstein is not gay and never has been gay... yet he self-describes as a weak, soft man; and a liberal Jew to boot.
Nonetheless, he'll go mano a mano with "Dr. Blackman," AKA Rev. Ken Hutcherson, who, at 280 lbs. and 6'4" is the biggest, baddest-ass, Christian homophobe in the valley.
He self describes has a strong, hard man; and Christian to a fault.
Lucky for Goldy, it''ll be by phone; at 9a on KIRO, Tuesday.
Godtalk Update: after Rabbi Lapin discussed Berkeley's actively discouragement of Marine recruiting, a listener writes: "This is a Godtalk topic?!?" Later Lapin managed to get into the religious conversation: "I don't like the BBC, I don't like PBS, and I don't like NPR... they shouldn't exist." Another listener comment forwarded this to us: "Please, please PLEASE, get Rabbi Daniel Lapin OFF THE AIR!!! You are insulting every minute Bernie spent on the air. I have been a faithful listener for years, but no more until Rabbi Lapin is history. He gives us nothing to contemplate, but much to hold in contempt. While Bernie spoke to the best in all of us, the Rabbi makes even the pacifist want to consider mayhem. He is narrow-minded, condescending, self-absorbed, and about as deep as one layer of vaneer. As Bernie would say, "He parked his brain at the door and picked up his Crayolas." The loyal God Talk audience deserves FAR BETTER. If you keep him, you would do well to rename the program "God Forbid Talk." ~~ Godtalk, Bernie Ward's interfaith dialogue is too popular to cancel at San Francisco's KGO (Sundays, 6-9a). But what would he say if he could comment on how his show is being shepherded over by one of the most virulent clergymen in the American religious right?
For three weeks now, former KSFO right-wing talker, Rabbi Daniel Lapin of Seattle has hosted the weekly, liberal, one-world exchange of views that often range far afield from those of the Judeo-Christian practitioners whom Lapin's always championed as the sort of "Master Race" of religionists.

In America, if a man puts something into another man, it had better be a bullet. ~Bill Maher
Rev. Ken Hutcherson on the Michael Medved Show (KTTH m-f 12-3p) said Tuesday that the Rabbi Daniel Lapin told him to fear not, the Hebrew language has no word for tolerance- that things therefore, were either right or wrong, bad or good. In other words, tolerance is not biblical.
(We're not that good on the Bible, but we didn't need a rabbinical scholar to tell us how intolerant the Rab and Rev are).
Looks like Rabbi Daniel Lapin will be back to wandering in the desert: he's been booted from another radio gig.
He's been removed from San Francisco talk shop KSFO's website and there's no sign of his erstwhile Sunday night show on his own. It's been replaced on the schedule by reruns of SF local talker David Gold.
Lapin's 2006 move from a Sunday evening show on Seattle's KTTH to the San Francisco radio market (he still lives on Mercer Island) was after years of scuttling around KVI, KKOL, and KGNW; not to speak of a failed attempt at syndication in the '90's.
"Yes," is what mega-preaching, Seattle homeboy-homophobe Rev. Ken Hutcherson told Limbaugh on his show, Friday. "If it wasn't for you, Obama wouldn't have been in the race and the United States wouldn't want a black president."
What's more, he said, Hillary Clinton will fail for the same reason.
WTF, you say?
Hutch says it's Big Pants' enthusiasm of the Fox Network's 24, the long-running torture-friendly TV show so popular with militarists, post adolescent men, and as a topic when a right-wing talk radio producer is short on show-prep.
We're not devotees, but it seems that a 24 character, President David Palmer (played by Dennis Haysbert) is the first African-American with a chance at the White House. He's a sympathetic character, but his ex-wife Sherry Palmer (Penny Johnson Jerald) is a conniving bitch who's involved in Palmer's administration is widely considered a Hillary doppelgänger by the largely conservative audience.
Hutcherson believes that Rush promoting the show has gotten America used to the idea of a black President, and has helped Obama.
In other words: Bad Rush! for enurring us to the unthinkable! If we achieve another chunk of racial equality in this country -- it's your fault! And it took a black man to point out your error.
This is the kind of concisely irrelevant political analysis we've
come to expect from the black, ex-NFL linebacker who has made a name
for himself by the race-carding of fag-baiting.
