Air America's got a new website that works!

After all it's been through: Evan Cohen, bankruptcy, and Randi Rhodes, there seems to be a stability there now. The network/syndicator keeps putting one foot in front of the other.

finally last week relaunched their website that looks great, and works too- both attributes missing from their old site.

 The answer to the bannerline question is: yes, of course... but who in radio hasn't, doesn't?

But first: the news is Randi will be back on KPTK May 11 at 6p. She will be live.

Or... so says the small print on the KPTK website. Randi, apparently busy moving to Washington DC, has not checked in online with listeners yet: her website still has her "sorry, we've been fighting with Nova M" message.

Randi's has a new contract with Premiere Radio Networks which built its primacy in media on the extreme success of Rush Limbaugh. It is a subsidiary of the corporate megalith Clear Channel.

Randi Rhodes is coming back... via the Dark Side.

Premiere Networks has picked her up. the company is a subsidiary of Clear Channel and the home of Rush, Sean Hannity and Glennn Beck.

She'll broadcast live from Washington DC, weekdays starting May 11.

Scrotumnal humor and yeast infections aside... where's Randi?

April 15 has come and went. It was Tax Day, Tea-bagging Day, and International Yeast Infection Cure Day. It was also touted to be when liberal radio talker Randi Rhodes, who disappeared suddenly a few months ago was to reappear.

We spent the day tea-bagging close friends, rolling out the 1040's, and pondering the utopian dream of a world without itchy yeastie-beasties.

Considering alan colmes

That quote always makes us think of Alan Colmes -- we'll catch holy hell from our liberal readers for even saying this, but it's a shame that KPTK is not responding to Colmes' syndicaters about filling the empty evening slot vacated by Randi Rhodes.

Is randi rhodes coming back???

 Will Randi Rhodes, after the melodrama of February, see syndication ever again?

The answer is a strong: yes, no, maybe so!

We've been away from our desks (o sweet lord!) so we're a little behind on this but it sounds like Randi Rhodes is taking a run at getting back on the air nationally. What's more: if and when she pulls it off, the friendly CBS robots at Seattle progressive KPTK will carry her, if and when that happens.

Peter B quits radio; randi rhodes still missing; lindbergh baby remains dead

A week ago, syndicated liberal talker Peter B. Collins was happy to announce that he was gaining another affiliate in Seattle.

He'd just been given the slot taking over the slot on KPTK belonged to Randi Rhodes through all her career bobsledding; then short-livedly to Nancy Skinner.

The Seattle market didn't really know him yet. (Has Randi cursed this slot?)

But Friday, Collins announced on the air his show will come to an end next Friday.

Breaking news: bankruptcy and a suicide attempt at nova m

 According to Brian Maloney at Radio Equalizer Nova M, syndicators of Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy are folding,

and co-owner Sheldon Drobny, has attempted suicide and is hospitalized.

Malloy's program is in question as well.

As always, it's all very mysterious, and melodramatic, yet dull and uninteresting at the same time.

It could be (like according to this blog) that Randi Rhodes national syndication is over, and she will return to being a local Florida talk host again. That would bring her career full circle from her inauspicious Air America debut in 2004.

On the other hand, she could be mud-wrestling Steve Doocy nude on Fox News at 5 ayem tomorrow.
