right-wing blogs we like
The Reagan Wing Hearin lies the real heart of Washington State Republicans. Doug Parris runs this red-meat social conservative group site which bars no holds when it comes to saying who they are and who they're not; what they believe and what they don't; who their friends are and where the rest of the Republicans can go. Well-written, and flaming.
Orbusmax inexhaustible Drudgery of NW conservative news
The Radio Equalizer prolific former Seattle KVI, KIRO talk host speaks authoritatively about radio.
The National Association of Broadcasters is honoring Michael J. Fox with their Distinguished Service Award for his work in television for “raising awareness for Parkinson’s Disease through the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.”
Seems like only yesterday (actually, it was 2006) that Rush Limbaugh, that great American, broadcasting pioneer, and conservative role model, mocked Michael J. Fox on-air accusing him of either playacting or deliberately going off his meds to enhance his symptoms to make a political point.
Watching the historic health care debate on C-Span, we marveled at our senators actually working on a Saturday. (yea, Sen. Franken!)
But Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and the Mr. Doctor Michael Savage say this is “rape” of the Land of the Free by the president and the Democratic congress! Dori Monson says it's criminal.
Once again, it’s plain that despite the bluster, the blather, and hours of blatant advocacy, conservative talk radio KIROFM, KTTH, and KVI are origami tigers when it comes to delivering votes for conservative candidates, and conservative candidates.

President Obama said on CNN, Monday: "I think that what our advisers have simply said is, that we are going to take media as it comes. And if media is operating basically as a talk-radio format, then that's one thing. And if it's operating as a news outlet, then that's another. But it's not something I'm losing a lot of sleep over."
A self-serving mayor slopped the trough of a Fox News publicity pig, and it cost the city's taxpayers nearly $18k.

It's hard to believe that anyone believes that red-baiting would work in 2009, but talk radio and Fox News blabbertalent keep hammering away on administration officials who might have quoted Mao at some time in their careers.
(We're fighting an old computer while buying a new one- the object of our recent fund raising drive. Until our new equipment's in place, we'll be blogging a little light).

Rush Limbaugh told Today Show's Jamie Gangel that he knows how to get under the skin of the media and get them to write headlines about him.
That he does. And his bid to buy the St. Louis Rams is surely another of those forays. The almost simultaneous interview on the Today show was no accident. Rush's name was on all the explaining industry's lips over the weekend, and still there Monday, all day.
