We haven’t followed the Amanda Knox case too closely, but this car radio button-pusher was glued to KOMO1000 as they simulcast Channel 4’s Dan and Kathy with a live feed from Peruggia in the wait for the verdict.

Linda Thomas is working the news this morning on KIRO. Is she the new KIRO morning newsperson sidekicking Gregg Hersholt?

16 year KIRO veteran Jane Shannon was fired rather abruptly two weeks ago.

Often mentioned for the job, Thomas won't face a tough learning curve- she’s been filling in on KIRO for years.

Thomas is the honey-toned radio pro, and one time blogger who gave up the profession to have a family before returning to the fray.

KING 5.com will have election night webcast streaming starting at 8p. Anchor Carolyn Douglas will be joined by Publicola's Josh Feit to survey the unfolding landscape with other political analysts, video reports and live shots from candidate headquarters. KING 5’s 10 & 11PM newscasts will also be live on the web.

Another producer for the silly Ron & Don Show? Not news- they use up producers like nasal inhalers.

 But Jason Stein, of LA's KFI has been hired away from his enviable position at the #1 talker in the country, to make the smart radio consumers of Seattle listen to R & D (KIROFM m-f, 3-6p).
