Problem is that Current - like all the quality shows - will be on the pricey package.

DD Centrist

'bout time! Now both sides have some Radio/TV.

I don't like Miller. She's part of the "Obama can do no wrong" crowd..

Strange the way, wars, drones and dead civilians are suddenly okay with some as long as there's a "D" after the name..

Finally, something besides freaking Morning Joe to watch in the AM when I am working at home.

Stephanie is an aquired taste...I think she's funny... my spouse... doesn't get her at all. Not sure how she will come across on the teevee. Her humour is quite juvenile sometimes. Which is okay when you're sitting in your car fighting the gawd awful Seattle traffic. At home...not sure how that will translate.

And yes...she is a bit of a koolaid drinker when it comes to the president. Don't get me wrong...I'm not about to vote for the clowns on the R side. But Mr. Obama isn't perfect...just better than the repub side. And I will be voting FOR him...not against someone. That's a nice change.

As for Bill Press...I like Bill. But sometimes he's too much like yelling Bid Eddie...just a shade on the shallow side. Like they didn't take the time to get all the informaion before they spout their opinions.

Aha! I see the comments about Press and Big Eddie now. Sorry I missed them before.

You sound like someone who should stick to NPR: even-tempered, well- modulated, boring. Oh, and they present both sides or at least try to. And they're nice.

Upton, I don't know if you're liberal or conservative but I sure agree about the "can do no wrong" comment. I like some honestly in the mix myself and Malloy gives me that. Especially his "Bob" letters.

I'm a liberal. I voted for Obama and the promised "change" he hasn't delivered on.

I'm just sick and tired of the way he has continued many of Bush's policies....and I'm equally sick of the hypocritical Democrats like Miller who are now defending stances they had previously criticized.

To quote Bill Maher: "We have a center right party and a crazy party."

Unless you're into voting for the "lesser of two evils" ..the two party system has left true liberals with nowhere viable to go.

You can watch current tv on you pc. There are a number of sites which can access it.
I don't have cable tv. . .who needs it?

Let me clarify. There are a number of sites which will provide a live feed of current tv and many other stations which can be watched for free on your pc monitor. These are live feeds, not the canned episodes of Hulu and other sites. You see it as it is broadcast, commercials and all.

So link them. I signed up for Hulu thinking I'd get it and then canceled immediately because I didn't like Hulu and wanted the live feed.

Sneaky, linky please. Thanks.

Upton,I hear that the Republicans won't let him do "change." Haha. I respond that no liberal would start with an administration that includes Larry Summers and Tim Geithner after promising "change we can believe in."

Even Eric Holder has been a huge disappointment.

Obama had a true mandate for change. What a waste.

Here is my favorite, but there are many others: www.thertv.eu

Wow! Thanks, Sneaky. I hope this is legal!

The legalities may be in question, but you will note that some of the stations have been removed due to copyright violation. In this case, the network in question has contacted rtv and told them to remove the station from their lineup. I have been watching rtv for a long time now with no problems. I tend to watch only HGTV, msnbc, and current tv.

The big boys tend to ignore these places since they are so relatively unknown and therefore watched by so few.

Don't worry, no one is coming after you.

I notice this is .eu so are these programs all available in Europe without having to buy a package? I bet so. Also, I'm watching commercials . . . so it's not totally free.

Again, thanks. I'm watching the War Room with Jennifer Granholm.

BTW, I"m only interested in Current myself. If we could choose channels in our packages, I'd pay for it.

right wing death watch

thertv.eu has worked for months with no problem. MSNBC is on there too.

Bill Larsen

Too many people thought Obama would be the left wing version of George Bush. While I'm not crazy about some of the things he's done, McCain would have bombed Iran by now and who know where we'd be economically. You can always opt out for "Change We Can't Believe We're Stuck With" and vote for whatever republican is on the ticket. Would that make you any happier?

I don't read anyone suggesting that. Is disappointment not allowed? Do we have to keep believing in hope and change just because he's not McCain and didn't bomb Iran? BTW, who knows what he's going to do about Iran? He's a pleaser.

Puget Sound Blathers

i don't get Current at home, but on the road i have begun to watch the Young Turks. Cenk has matured and his willingness to discuss ideas with guests make his show much better.
Keith is Keith. I guess their is an audience for that schtick... If it wasn't for name recognition derived from ESPN, he'd be vying with NorMAN GoldMAN for low pole position.

NorMan GoldMan is a joke. I don't know how anyone could listen to him on any subject...ever. Mr Goldman is why I switched the dial and stumbled upon Ron & Don. Who are also mostly 'unlistenable'. Which is also how I rediscovered my CD collection.

Now if Thom Hartmann is moving to noon...I may have a radio station to listen to after 12 noon. Right now, after the 12 o'clock hour...I'm singing to the Eagles.

Yes, I find Goldman hard to listen. If he'd clean up his presentation, he's got a pretty good show. Too bad personality is so important. That's why there's so much crazy on the right. They go for personality. I do turn off Goldman at times. He can be tough.

Thanks to stinky - Thanks Stinky!- I was comparing Cenk and Ed and Lawrence last night. Of all three, Ed had more guests and discussed more relevant topics than the others. But, Bubba will never live down his midwestern big guy reputation with the intellectual left even though he's as smart and well spoken and honest as any of them. And he shows up on the ground.

I always liked the Eagles. Especially Desperado.

Whoops! Post on wrong thread:

Cenk wins tonight!

Current TV owned by AlGore will have to struggle to even be competitive with MSNBC. Both cable networks are an extension of the propaganda arm of the White House, which explains their problem. Current might work as a substitute for the Cartoon channel.

Tons o' thanks for the Current link, Sneaks! Keep filling those gaps...

Talk Radio and TV Rightwing talkers: Chris Mooney just said on a panel at the Arizona Book Festival that there are seven studies showing Fox News viewers are less informed. That's a lot.

Good panel. Book Panel

Wow! Agreement on the panel that if Obama wins, it will be bitter and ruthless and the right will spend its time impeaching him. That's a great way to move our country forward, Republicans.

If you find current tv down for a while at thertv, then try using this link to it:

Thanks, Sneaky. I did get a funny dark out and a note about it being a pay-for something or other. But I just regoogled it and it came up again.

Thanks for keeping me in the loop. I had MSNBC and Current going at the same time for a while. Now that was fun!

Current TV is back up and running on http://thertv.eu

Mary for Sneaky

Sneaky, what happened to current? I keep getting a picture of Kucinish.

wait 60 secs for the ad to clear

Thanks Big C!
