Tom Keith, 64, the sound effects virtuoso of A Prairie Home Companion and co-host stalwart of St. Paul's iconic The Morning Show passed away Sunday, after collapsing at his Minnesota home. He was 64. Minnesota Public Radio obit here. YouTube above: he's the guy on the left.

Oh I am sad to hear this. He was very very talented. My friend Fred Newman has recently taken over the duties as sound effects person when the show is on the road, with Tom always performing in St. Paul. This will be a terrible shock to the cast.
