Chucks (joanie is still one of them)

I don't have my glasses on, but are those democrats? Are they all registered to vote in King County?

Coiler

"I don't have my glasses on"...what else is turned off?

KS

They are imitating Avatars ? Does that answer your question, Chucks ?

sparky

chucks...they're repugs...no dicks.

AprilMayJune

Looks like Paris to me. I don't think they are Democrats or Republicans.

Tommy008

Frank Shiers says he limits Sarah May to one hour of TeeVeea week and thinks thats why her reading comprehension is so excellent. I sya its because she's bright kid and it has nothign to do with his rationing of TeeVee time. I find one hour of TV for a young kid ( i htink she's 6-7 or so) to be overly strict, draconian , bordering on cruel, but not unexpected from a high pants, Fire Marshall Bill type liek Frank . What do our educators in the audience have ot say o this? I think one hour a day of TV is reasonable if your concerned about your kiddie watching TV/

sparky

I think if a parent is careful what the kids watch, then they can watch the tube, but it should be just a part of what they do in an evening...reading stories with a parent, playing games, listening to music, etc. I cringe when I hear students talking about what happened in the latest episode of a violent show, or relate the latest episode of Desperate Housewives.
For safety sake, kids need to fit in, or they are bullied. Kids need to be culturally literate, being aware of what is common knowledge. But parents can help that happen by talking to their kids over dinner..it doesn't have to come from TV. I know people who are proud of not owning TV, but I think its a shame that they miss historical events, nature shows and the like.

Chucks (joanie is still one of them)

Sorry Sparky, but they are all women and gurlz. That one of front is one of them lezbyuns that had her boobs removed so she could be more butch.
You can tell that they are dems because of the blank stares while walking in mass to the Kool-Aide stand.

Fremont

Nice try at reasoned dialog there, Sparks!

Tommy008

by the way Frank , saying things like "Sarah May's reading comprehension is off the charts", in other words, bragging about your kid, is really declasse and boorish . Do you have a bumber sticker that says "my daughter is an honor student"? If Sarah May wants to brag about HER reading comprehension , that's completely acceptable. Get over yourself, "Fire Marshall Bill".

Chucks (joanie is still one of them)

How many kids do you have Tommy?
I agree completely with Sparky's 10:27 PM post. The TV is but a piece of the balance that is a child and a family's life, but a piece none the less.

KS

...I am pulling a Joanie and moving on to a related topic.

The Democrats have become the illegal immigrant pimps, led by Goldstein (locally) and the White House, with their divide to conquer agenda - this reeks with corruption. Arizona had to do what they did because of the inaction of the Federal Government, using the divisive racist defense.

The demonstrations on May day (acknowledged as a big day only in nations with communist and totalitarian governments)will be predicated on a farce. The big lie is that the illegals and unions and leftwingnuts will march in 70 cities, claiming that anyone who sides with the AZ law is anti-immigrant.

There is blatant dishonesty here, which includes whoever in the media covers this mass distraction to the real issue - that worthless politicians are afraid to address.
Republicans are on the side of amnesty for illegals for corporate profits, while the Democrats are on the side of amnesty for illegals for union and corporate profits and ptotentially more Democrat votes under the direction of ACORN. This shit stinks to high heaven..

Tommy008

i don't have kids but i don't need to have kids to know that i would never be so without class and insecure that i would brag about my kid's academic prowess to thousands of perfect strangers out in a radio audience. None of them give a crap. NOR SHOULD THEY. Yeah i might brag about it a little to close friends or relatives- apples and oranges. I believe Sparky simply reiterated my position on the tv issue- an hour or two at most a night. One hour a week is 'Mommie Dearest" type, control freak territory.

Duffman

Yeah, just like you wouldn't brag about your stock market prowess on one of the most popular blogs in the country.

Prick the pretension

Right, KS, David Goldstein as a known Jew is a natural leader of Mexicans. Makes perfect sense

What's your point besides one of ignorance and obfuscation ? It's because of your ilk that this place has gone to hell. Nice job, prick.

sparky

Not to mention your sweet words to us all, KS. :)

joanie

And that his short-term memory is still failing.

joanie

Hmm, been waiting for a highly anticipated post from our own savior of the downtrodden, chux, to tell us all about his latest journey to Louisiana to clean up the most recent republican disaster.

Chucks (joanie is still one of them)

Chuck has jury duty coming up. Can't leave town. Besides, that situation is going to provide desperately needed jobs for people in the gulf coast region, cleaning it. Bonus, it will reduce unemployment in the region, providing some stats for Oblahblah to brag about while giving the liberal bastards something to bray about with the evil oil company's ruining the ecology. Never let a good what go to waste?
But you don't need me joanie. You were a shit-head before I showed up here and you will be nothing different long after I'm gone.
It is funny though, when I was on my little vacation in January, I had asked my son to check in here when I was out of touch. He is as liberal as you and Sparky, but he certainly described you, accurately in language that embarrasses me. Now, I don't dare visit Blatherwatch when he is here.
Bhahahahahahahahha, He questions why I would even consider that which you opine.

joanie

hahaha to you too. You've already told us that little story. Is the feeble minded RV salesman getting even more feeble minded?

Yes. I'm sure an ecological disaster like the oil spill was just what the economy needed. Maybe we can have another one when this one gets cleaned up. Bet the wages are going to put people back into republican-stolen homes too.

I just love rationalizationers - not.

And you don't have to tell me what kind of language your son used. We can all guess. The leaf doesn't fall far from the tree.

Tommy008

im walking on air right now because its been a full week come tomorrow that the redneck from Oregon who moved into our building last summer to go to Diving School in Ballard left Seattle for Louisiana to work for the oil rigs and such. I don't believe I've ever hated someone more than this meanspirited, fascist rightwing creep. An adventure in loathing and hatred. It had gotten to the point where it truly was him or me staying in the building. He had to go- and he did. Welcome to the poorest state in the union, ass, ..... Louisiana.

Tommy008

Dori is doing a remote this morning from a Super Supplements , drumming up donations for Norhtwest Harvest. This is the day Dori gets to pretend he cares about poor people.

Tommy008

it's a all-host KIROfm food drive, with different hosts doing remotes in shifts....Dori has no choice but to participate.....do you honestly think he would be down there on his own?...........

Duffman

INcredible!!!

the "good choices" guy

A man and his wife and teenage son were vicitms of a home invasion the other night in our region.....they had advertised a ring on Craigslist...three men and a woman burst inot the house, ahot the husband dead and beat the teen son before leaving with loot from the home....the husband made poor choices in life, or else he'd be alive today.....KIROFM IS HOLDING A RADIOTHON FOR nORHTWEST hARVEST....show me a man in need of food and i'll show you a man who made poor choices in life.... i don't donate to food banks...it rewards and encourages people for making poor life choices... i drive a brand new Jaguar , make over 100k in salary and live in a gated community because of the good choices i've made in life....i'm the good choices guy......Tommy 008 reported his car was keyed the other day...if he had made better choices about parking his car this would never have happened.... Joanie Andrew Sparky Fremont and Tommy008 all make poor choices in life, and are very envious of my success... did i say they call me the good choices guy?........

KS

Not to mention your sweet words to us all, KS. :)

Pot meet kettle - that is also dedicated to Joanie - shifty with the truth and hypocritical to boot...
