Art Simpson was a mainstay at KOL for several years in the late 50s and early 60s. A Top 40 from that period that shows the lineup of talent on the station.
Lan Roberts 5-9a
Art Simpson 9a-12p
Ron Bailie 12-3p
John Stone 3-6p
Gary Todd 6-9p
Les Williams 9-12mid
Tom Phelan 12mid- 5a
Note that Lan Roberts – a KJR legend in later years – was doing mornings at KOL in 1961. He returned to KOL in 1968. (thanks Bill Taylor).

Does anyone remember Al Cummings? He used to be one of the top personalities in Seattle, mostly working at KING 1090 when Dorothy Bullit owned it.

Al Cummings also spent many years at KTNT AM Tacoma and did some TV on KTNT Channel 11

Normally I am bored to tears by talk radio. The programming usually seems a bit repetitive and the content is uninteresting.
That was until I discovered WPRR 1680 AM. They have the best variety of shows for public radio that I’ve heard in a long time.
It’s a Grand Rapids Community Radio, and being a Michigan native, I get a sense of pride by supporting and listening to this station.
What’s really neat though, is they offer podcasting right off their website, so if I don’t have time to listen to the program at its regularly scheduled time,
I can just download it and listen to it whenever I want!
