Hooty-hoo! Is it just us, or is this the longest pledge drive in the history of KUOW?
Smooth jazz KPLU wrapped theirs up in a record 6 days. But KUOW's need$ are presumably higher and seem to be having trouble raising it- they're half way though a second week.

It's the economy, stupid.
We'd love to see PPM weeklies in Seattle as other stations get a little windfall goose as the mighty KUOW audience dives for the dial to avoid the slappy-happy semi-annual money grab.We were reassured this morning by one of the perky morning beg-team that station manager Wayne Roth, 67, is so frugal he sometimes takes the bus. He lives on Bainbridge Island.
They also said they could see the end of the pledge drive on the horizon. Godspeed.

hey bro i like kuow and might donate when i have a little extra $$. what have we got left around here besides ross and some air america?
