Susan Hutchison is not fooling any one. She may be a disguised rightie, but a rightie she is. The position of County Exec. may be an Okay position for her tho, as it is a more focused position and in that position she is less likely to be able to expand on any far-right ideals.

sparky

As long as she doesn't have to walk across a news set while talking....that was painful to watch!

chucks

That out of the box crap at KIRO7 was painful to watch. You remember.
What the hell does abortion have to do with King County Exec?
But Susan Hutchinson would be a fine addition to the fucked up King County government after years of that nitwick Sims.

Coiler

She's up there with Mary Starrett formally of KATU who ran for Governor of Oregon on the "Constitution Party" ticket.

Brian

So she trashed Obama, BFD. If you look at his plummeting approval ratings you will begin to see that those who opposed him were right on the money. Speaking of money, how's that porkulous bill doing for those of you who are out of work?

It's hard to believe that we could have another president as bad or worse than Jimmy Carter but that's how this looks to be unfolding.

Mark C.

I just wish she would say something more substantive than government bad, me good. So far she's got nothin'! She is clearly a right-winger who was on the board with Michael Medved of the Discovery Institute and probably believes in Creation. we will never know because she will not answer such questions. Why so secretive about core beliefs? Cowardice indeed.

joanie

How do you know? What are her issues and what does she plan to do with the county?

There's a teamsarah website that is currently bragging about being 70,000 strong. I wonder if Susan is a member?

Ross was taking calls from people who are not getting paid but are under the radar screen when it comes to being counted as unemployed. Attorneys who are still making rent but nothing more. Self-employed people who are not able to collect unemployment. A lot of hurt out there and people hanging on just barely. Sounds like it is going to get worse before it gets better.

M.Steele

I live in unincorporated King county, in Reichert’s district. I have not seen hide nor hair the aspirant county executive. This being the slow news season and her with the connections to the media, one would think she would take advantage. If she made her way to one of the local gathering places to talk, say zoning laws, I am sure she would get a crowd.

Yes.

Up until January 20th everything was so perfect.

On the day after, Obama took down the entire economy all on his own.

Not just the USA but the entire world!!

And even after 5 1/2 months and $80 billion (only 10% of the stimulus has been allocated so far) he hasn't fixed everything.

Amazing!

Dave

Hutchison's allegiance to Sarah Palin is understandable. They are both dumbells. Susan Hutchison (in my opinion) was one of the worst bimbo broadcasters ever on Seattle TV. Stumbling, bumbling and losing her place constantly, with lots of odd facial expressions and gaffes. Just like Sarah!

sparky

yes, shameful! lol
joanie, she wont give a straight answer to any question. Did you ever watch her on the news? She was constantly, if gently, being corrected by Gary Justice or whomever was co-anchoring with her..she made the mistake of trying to insert a bit of chatter about her stories at the end, and it was painfully obvious that she did not fully understand what she had just read. One of the best examples of that was when I was watching the news and she read a story about Tom Seaver being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He was filmed saying he was so proud that his grandkids could come there and say "Grandpa is in the Hall of Fame!" She looked at Gary Justice, and with a big wide-eyed smile said, "Wow, his grandfather was in the Hall of Fame too?!!!" The was a moment or two of sheer disbelief that spread over Gary Justice's face before he recovered and explained that Tom meant his OWN grandchildren. Her reply was a dismissive "oh well then" and they went to commercial.

Rush

So, sort of like saying MSNBC is a news channel?

banannaman

Huh? That was a disjointed comment.

Tigsnort

When she was an anchor I thought there was something off about her. She always had a vacant look in her eyes. She constantly stumbled over her words. She never seemed natural on air, more like a mannequin. Now it all makes sense.

chucks

I think that that is Heather Mills attached to the butt BO is admiring. Looking good for over forty. No big deal, if they were not meant to be looked at, God would not have shaped them so nice.
But really, the only thing Obama is wondering why her ass does not look fat in a dress.
Come to think of it, he is as incompetent as Jimmah Carter, maybe he has "lust in his heart".

chucks

Oh crap Duffy. My wife said that that is a 16 year old kid attached to that butt.
Now I have to go bleach my eyes as punishment for my Carter like thoughts.

chucks

17 year old Brazilian Mayara Tavares. I hope the first wookie is in a good mood. POTUS assasinated by his own wife. Film at eleven.

Luigi Giovanni

Michael, in your retraction, did you originally apologize, and then did you have second thoughts and remove the apology?

Duffman

Howdy chucks. At least we know Obama's a good ol American male who can't resist a good look. :)

blathering michael.

Luigi: Yes. I'm really not sorry, just corrected.

Realconservative

You say no woman can criticize another because of looks, now what does that say about you criticizing a man? You jealous hypocritical punks.

chucks et al

chucks

Reakcon,
If you took anything I posted on this thread as serious, you misread it. Any normal man looks at cute butts.

Drew

In what has become typical for anything leached out by a Murdoch corporation, they took a still frame from video and exploited it for their own means, and you gullible cons bit hard into the bait. The tape tells the real story. Like the New York Post (a tabloid- not a newspaper), Drudge didn't have time for the truth either, but that doesn't fit their agenda anyway.

Duffman

Lighten up! It was funny. :)

banannaman

You know what’s funny? Chucks posted that he needed his wife to tell him who the woman in the photo was. Does your wife always look over your shoulder while you cruse the internet?

M.Steele

BILL MOYERS JOURNAL had a great story on tonight about public health care. If you really believe reform is not needed watch the video then let us know what you think. I would be glad to entertain your ideas.

KS

God, if Hutchison gets elected as County Exec - that will drive the liberal progressives bonkers. Just sayin' However, its probably not in the cards...

Are there any candidates out there who would be considered as a paragon of virtue, unlike Ron "Tax to the Max"/"Good home training" Sims ? (Does it really matter in King County - seems like it stopped mattering sometime in the '80's). And so it goes...

Welcome back Duffman. Did you pick up any new insights, while away in Ecuador - besides lightening up ? Puts seems to have vanished - one could only imagine what drove him away.

M.Steele

KS?
Our own purveyor of propaganda, what does Pravda have to say today?

sparky

Drive them bonkers?,,um...probably not. Fodder for jokes...possibly.

Coiler

I didn't get to see Moyers last night, but got an update from MM blog saying CIGNA and other well heeled insurance companies went after his movie Sicko.

Duffman

Thanks KS; simply put 'so much need' - we have so much to be thankful for. I hadn't seen PS's moniker and was wondering 'bout him.

Drew

Steele- thanks for the Bill Moyers vid. He's a very thorough guy, and fair. Too bad he's hidden away on PBS.

KS

"simply put 'so much need' - we have so much to be thankful for."

So true, but underneath it all, it seems as though we have a yearning to become more like those who have "so much need" - so as not to get singled out by other have not nations/not just by our rising unemployment rate but by policies that balloon the deficit to new heights never seen before. There is always eternal hope for new twists and turns in the "saga". And so it goes...

M.Steele

Hey Drew, hope you are enjoying the day, just got back from the Cornucopia day’s celebration in Kent.

The Moyer show last night was interesting. I don’t think he or his guess pulled a punch. And the part about underprivileged and underserved left me irritated. I hope everyone calls their legislators to register their opinion. If we can get a flood of opinions we may drown out the lobbyists.

By the way, I was invited to ride on the “Link Light Rail” yesterday. The trip was from Downtown to Tukwila and back again. If you ever take the ride, stay on board for the Tukwila leg of the ride. The speed along the I-5 corridor tops out at 55, and I was not sure of our height but we were well above most buildings and into the tree canopies. The ride back was full reverse and made me sick as a dog.

Drew

So ks, do have personal experience from one of these "have not" nations you are so worried about becoming?

M.Steele

Typo guess should be guest

Drew

Thanks, I will have to check that out. Yes, riding backwards at speed takes a LOT of getting used to.
A few years ago some safety group determined that the passengers riding in the rear of an aircraft and facing the tail had a much greater chance of surviving a ground impact than the rest of the passengers who faced the nose. I thought, "Yea, fat chance getting the airlines to sell rear-facing seats." Don't know too many folks who would want to experience a take-off that way.

KS

"So ks, do have personal experience from one of these "have not" nations you are so worried about becoming?"

Iceland. Who said I was worried ?
your over-active imaginations are creating illusions. If no one else worries about stuff like that, then what me worry ?
