It's called a joke--get over it. At least he didn't claim that their 14 year old daughters were knocked up by 35 year-old men.
Or worse yet run a Spanish language campaign ad so underhanded and misleading that even MSNBC complained.
Posted by MSNBC:
"First of all, tying Sen. McCain – especially on the issue of immigration reform – to Limbaugh is unfair.
Limbaugh opposed McCain on that issue. Vociferously. And in a larger sense, it’s unfair to link McCain to Limbaugh on a host of issues since Limbaugh, as any even occasional listener of his knows, doesn’t particularly care for McCain.
Second, the quotes of Limbaugh’s are out of context.

oh yeah, I got it wrong it was ABC, not MSNBC, so hold your neener-neeners. MSNBC, ABC...same difference.

So Sotomayer is once again exposed for the elitist/sexist/divisive person she is... and you blame Limbaugh for turning Latinos to Democrats? Wow, great analysis Hood. I am starting to understand more and more why Webb hated your guts so much - maybe he wasn't so nuts after all.
Posted by: Don Ho | June 19, 2009 at 07:22 AM
I guess it takes a bigot to find the humor in that.
Posted by: LucasFoxx | June 19, 2009 at 08:17 AM
Don Ho;
Limbaugh critiziced Sotomayer, in a bigoted manner, and therefor Sotomayer is "exposed for the elitist/sexist/divisive person"
this logic is flawed...
hummm.

we will be watching the younger Palin. What's her name, Twitch? She's a hottie and money's on the table on whether she'll make it to 17 w/out getting knocked up. We'll monitor Page 6 for further Palin family news.

It is not about political correctness. The reason why the R's lost the Latino vote in 2008 was because The Big Fat Idiot and others on the radio led a scorched earth campaign agaisnst the immigration/reform/amnesty bill last year. They haven't learned. If they don't learn how to talk to this huge and growing bloc of voters, they are doomed. That is what Michael is saying.
Posted by: Mark C. | June 19, 2009 at 10:07 AM
You dipshit liberals interject race into everything. Are you that stupid to see that the joke was WOMEN + Vacuums not Latinos + vacuums.
If he'd mentioned her La Raza ties and said it, I'd see if differently, but it's a women's club.
So much for critical thinking and liberals....
Posted by: chachi | June 19, 2009 at 01:29 PM
It absolutely astounds me that they do not get this. Obama has a monolithic voting block to start with, the black vote. He reaches out to the sympathetic female and youth vote. All he really has to work for is the middle.
This Rush thing is going to hand the Democrats the Latino vote on a silver platter. Keep up the good work Rush. By the way, he is not mugging at the camera for you right wing zealots. He has got an inkling he will be on Countdown every time he does this.
Posted by: M.Steele | June 19, 2009 at 01:30 PM
You may be right M Steele. Dems are doubtless readying more deceptive ads as we speak. We will end up a 2.5nd world nation with half of us on welfare, a quarter as tax-slaves, and a quarter as the elite class of gov't employees. All with yellow teeth like the Brits! Yaaayyy!
Posted by: woody held | June 19, 2009 at 03:14 PM
Rush Limbaugh is the most successful broadcaster in the history of radio because of his wicked sense of humor and uncanny ability to drive his critics insane with anger.
Posted by: mrogi | June 19, 2009 at 03:22 PM
Nah, it's because right wingers tend to be more prone to group-think than liberals.
Posted by: Tigsnort | June 19, 2009 at 04:49 PM
More sheeple types = bigger audience, in other words
Posted by: Tigsnort | June 19, 2009 at 04:50 PM
Reagan- 55% of the white vote 1980
McCain- 55% of the white vote 2008
Hey, whau hauppened?
Posted by: Coiler | June 19, 2009 at 04:53 PM
Oh, and near-monopolistic conservative ownership of radio media doesn't hurt
Posted by: Tigsnort | June 19, 2009 at 04:57 PM
But then again it could be Rush's "wicked" sense of humor, I guess. I'm still waiting to see the consenus on his comedic genius though
Posted by: Tigsnort | June 19, 2009 at 04:59 PM
Mrogi;
It does not matter if Rush makes ostentatious jokes while making his enemies crazy. The problem is Rush is seen as the republican voice if not their leader. Therefore the job of making money by making folks angry and attracting possible voters is at odds. It is a job he cannot possibly accomplish and the republicans seem oblivious of this. Lest you crave the fantasy world of woodies, held.

OWiseOne - You get the WTF ? of the day.
Posted by: KS | June 19, 2009 at 07:02 PM
KS, why do I get the feeling you do a lot of ears plugged with fingers and the wild screaming of “I can’t hear you”?
Posted by: M.Steele | June 19, 2009 at 07:26 PM
Steele, It must stem from the fact that you (and possibly others) can't handle the truth.
You're boring me anyhow...
Posted by: KS | June 19, 2009 at 08:06 PM
KS, Even the woods man knows it.
“It's called a joke--get over it.”

Yes, VG It was shown at the radio and television journalist dinner tonite
Posted by: Coiler | June 19, 2009 at 09:28 PM
checking in from Moab, UT. Not as many conservatives here. Utah does not have an ordinance against billboards...the one we saw most said " WE SUCK.....FAT...liposuction here!!"
Utahers seem to want their bodies to remain 21 years old. Not as many conservatives in Moab..good thing I have rastafarian hair..I fit in well here.
Posted by: sparky | June 19, 2009 at 10:28 PM
Yes, Moab is nice. I used to stroll through there on a regular basis on my way to Houston or D/FW. One of my favorite places in the world is not too far from you- the Four Corners area, between Cortez and Shiprock.
Posted by: Drew | June 19, 2009 at 10:46 PM
Rastafarian…really? you are full of surprises.
Posted by: M.Steele | June 20, 2009 at 12:10 AM
Just watched the video.
Didn’t this goof ball take extended vacations to South America with a pocket full of Viagra?
Posted by: M.Steele | June 20, 2009 at 01:05 AM
He went to the Dominican Republic, at a time when people were questioning why his passport hadn't been suspended. The DR is well known for it's "sex tourism" trade. On his first radio show upon his return, he laughed aout his vacation, mentioning where he'd been, and said on the air, "...and you know what goes on down there!" It initiated a lot of commentary about whether or not he had participated in that business, since one of his illegally labeled bottles of Viagra that he returned with was missing a tablet or two,.
Posted by: Drew | June 20, 2009 at 01:12 AM
What a scum bag, and they are trying to defend him? Come on cons, you have more class than this.
Posted by: M.Steele | June 20, 2009 at 01:24 AM
Like any true conservative, Rush believes in the separation of sex and state. It is you libs who want to raid the strip clubs & 'massage w/ happy ending' joints, and tsk-tsk-tsk over Rush going to the DR.
I for one could not care less, as long as he doesn't bang any underage or trafficked girls (or boys). I am willing to bet that the majority of conservatives who post here would agree.
Posted by: woody held | June 20, 2009 at 02:24 AM
If you doubt Limbaugh's power and influence, guess what? Sotomayor just resigned from her sexist club. Rush is da man!
Posted by: mrogi | June 20, 2009 at 11:37 AM
spot on, woody.
Posted by: KS | June 20, 2009 at 12:23 PM
So the religious right are liberals now? Up is down too I suppose
Posted by: Tigsnort | June 20, 2009 at 05:14 PM
The religious right is not raiding strip & massage joints in Seattle. Mayor Nickels & the libs are.
The religious right is not harassing Craigslist.com over 'escort' ads. The atty gens, majority of which are Democrats, are.
Posted by: woody held | June 20, 2009 at 05:30 PM
So the right is now against raiding prostitution rings? I'm confused.
Posted by: Tigsnort | June 20, 2009 at 08:27 PM
Yes, that is odd. Tell that to Larry Craig
Posted by: Coiler | June 20, 2009 at 09:05 PM
You have to know I am not the only righty that thinks prostitution (adult) and pot should be legal?
There are a lot of us.
Posted by: chucks | June 20, 2009 at 09:06 PM
The reason so many Latinos are Democrats is because they moved here from communist or socialist shit holes and they are used to the democrat ways. You make them feel at home.
Posted by: chucks | June 20, 2009 at 09:13 PM
those of voting age all moved here?
Posted by: Coiler | June 20, 2009 at 09:20 PM
And they are all legal according to ACCORN.
Posted by: chucks | June 20, 2009 at 09:39 PM
MSteele.....3 days without a shower, dust, wind, sweat...it gives everyone that dreadlocks look!
Fortunately, I was able to get a shower tonight...my gabillion bug bites were making me miserable.
Posted by: sparky | June 20, 2009 at 10:00 PM
Like any true conservative, Rush believes in the separation of sex and state.
Does that mean that the Republican-controlled Congress did not impeach Clinton over a blue dress?
And they are all legal according to ACCORN.
No, according to ACORN, they were not all legal. And Acorn did not commit election fraud.
Posted by: joanie | June 20, 2009 at 10:06 PM
Sparks, I hope you seen a sunset that made you feel 13 again.
Posted by: M.Steele | June 20, 2009 at 10:11 PM
no, dangit...it has been very cloudy, overcast and muggy warm...we didnt even get a decent thunderstorm out of it. I did see two lizards and a jackrabbit, though!
Posted by: sparky | June 20, 2009 at 10:32 PM
Exactly joanie. It is nice that you figured it out. About damned time. Republican-controled Congress did not impeach Clinton over a blue dress. But he was, as you the highly educated school teacher knows, impeached for perjury. The blue dress was part of the evidence used to show he lied.
Do you teach the children not to lie?
Posted by: chucks | June 21, 2009 at 12:49 AM
And WHY was he having to lie about a blue dress?
You are still an idiot.
Posted by: joanie | June 21, 2009 at 01:01 AM
Do you mean to ask why he chose to lie under oath? Being a highly educated lawyer, he knew where it could lead and chose his own path.
You are still an moron.
Posted by: chucks | June 21, 2009 at 05:04 AM
Can't answer the question without looking stoopid, can you?
