As expected, and after seven weeks of deliberations, a special 3-judge panel ruled potentially for Al Franken in a decision the media is calling "potentially decisive."
Politico:
But even as Democrat Al Franken’s campaign celebrated a three-judge
panel’s decision to put at most 400 ballots back in play, the Coleman
camp is still promising to take its case to the Minnesota Supreme
Court. And it’s not ruling out an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court or
filing a new lawsuit in federal district court.

Five years.
Some of Air America's tenuous existence has felt like a colonoscopy to sympathetic, liberal
listeners like us: the network has been on life support many times. There's been a cash register scandal; a bankruptcy, a parade of owners, managers, and talent.

Politico quotes Sen John Cornyn (R,TX) says it will be "World War III" if Democrats try to get Al Franken into the Senate before this plays out in federal courts.
(AP photo: Coleman- 'covered in glory')
(May we remind him: Lichtenstein might be hard put to start WWIII).
Ho-hum, say the Republicans: "it could take years."
Legally, it's an open question as to whether pursuing a federal suit -- one that no one thinks has merit but Coleman's lawyers -- would legally pause Franken's certification.

It's no surprise: A little-reported study of PPM data last year starkly shows that Rush Limbaugh's ratings go down when he approves of something!
When Limbaugh was expressing disapproval, he got a 5.71% share of
listeners, but when he expressed positives on people oir issues, his share went down to 5.43%.
Rush gets it (he's a genius!) so he rarely approves of much of anything.

I have been thinking that I would make a proposition to my Republican friends... that if they will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them. -Adlai Stevenson (1952)
That quote always makes us think of Alan Colmes -- we'll catch holy hell from our liberal readers for even saying this, but it's a shame that KPTK is not responding to Colmes' syndicaters about filling the empty evening slot vacated by Randi Rhodes.

“People who program, manage or own spoken-word formatted stations are going to like the findings of this study,” says radio consultant Jon Coleman.
That's because talk stations experience a 12% improvement when Arbitron changes a market from diary to PPM.
