Do you think maybe the MSM has a double standard?

Martin Haskell runs an illegal, unlicensed business in Ohio. Do you see the MSM getting their knickers in a twist about this?

And -- shades of "He's not JOE! He's SAM!" -- Haskell's name isn't even Martin. It's WILLIAM Martin MUDD Haskell. Yes, his name is Mudd.

Gosh, why do you think William Mudd the business owner gets a pass by the media, while Sam/Joe the man who dreams of owning a business gets crucified?

William Martin Mudd Haskell is the guy who popularized Partial Birth Abortion. His unlicensed business is an abortion clinic.

DD

Hmmmmmmm. Obama approached Mr. Wurzelbacher while he was enjoying some time with his son in his yard. During their brief conversation the phrase "share the wealth" was stated from Mr. Obama. Ooops! Obama f**ked up! So you far-lefties & the press attack so called "Joe the Plumber", an ordinary Joe, to try to override Obama's verbal misstep. If Mr. McCain or Mrs. Palin had made this statement, all hell would break loose. Micheal Moore was right when a few years ago while in Europe made the statement "most Americans are stupid". Well, not all of us. You'll get your man in office (hell, you've spent enough money & BS), now we'll see where most of you & us will be in 2-3 years. Work hard so you can "share the wealth" with one who doesn't.

nevets

I like this part, especially after the last two threads.

"Nonetheless, despite his economic interests otherwise, he won't be voting for Obama. He's no undecided as he claimed -- he's a registered Republican!"

Isn't Powell a registred Republican.

nevets

Uh oh, another twist in the Hussein elgibility case.

And what was the questions was he supposed to answer in 30 days.

Admit you were born in Kenya.
Admit you are a Kenya “natural born” citizen.
Admit your foreign birth was registered in the State of Hawaii. Admit your father, Barrack Hussein Obama, Sr., admitted Paternity of you.
Admit your mother gave birth to you in Mombosa, Kenya.
Admit your mother’s maiden name is Stanley Ann Dunham a/k/a Ann Dunham.
Admit the COLB [Certification of Live Birth] posted on the website “Fightthesmears.com” is a forgery.
Admit you were adopted by a Foreign Citizen.
Admit you were adopted by Lolo Soetoro, M.A. a citizen of Indonesia.
Admit you were not born in Hawaii.
Admit you are a citizen of Indonesia.
Admit you never took the “Oath of Allegiance” to regain your U.S. Citizenship status.
Admit you are not a “natural born” United States citizen.
Admit your senior campaign staff is aware you are not a “natural born” United States Citizen.
Admit the United States Constitution does not allow for a Person to hold the office of President of the United States unless that person is a “natural born” United States citizen.
Admit you are ineligible pursuant to the United States Constitution to serve as President and/or Vice President of the United States.

Now he says his Grandmother is sick, but could there be another reason he is going to Hawaii.

Tommy008

Tom Leykis is the latest media toadie for Obama. The idiot savant (he's preternaturally perceptive about women, incredibly inept on politics) is claiming that Joe is an RNC PLANT. how did Joe know that Obama would happen to walk by his yard? Leykis clims Joe is a relative to Frank Keating of the Keating 5. ridiculous.

Coiler

Leykis may be crazy at times but he is one of us....soon it will be very un-cool to be associated with anything McCain. Victory in 2 weeks!

Karen C.

Who could fall for these hyped-up issues again out of Republicans. We are dumb, maybe, but we are not stupid.

Joe the Dumber

Did anybody mention that Joe the Plumber is a relative of Robert Wurzelbacher who is Charles Keating’s son-in-law ?

Is it just a coincedence ?

Hidden

Nevets, admit you are certifiable.

Obama Commandos try to sabotage travel plans of opponents.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/21/palin.motorcade/

A meaningful discussion of points and counterpoints of different ideas is not sufficient. The opposing side must have their different opinions completed stifled.

Look for this in 6 months, only in 6 months it will be the Polizei stopping political opponents, not random street thugs. We saw it in the Weimar Republic ... first the unofficial SA engaging in street combat, then the official SS.

Gay Gary

BTW - credit to Glenn Beck for conjuring the Weimar reference into my mind as I read this story ... I heard him ask the moron McCain if the US is the next Weimar Republic like last week and the moron McCain flubbed and flawed and hemmed and hawed, then cackled and chuckled and giggled and guffawed.

What an idiot valley girl the Republicans are running.

I'm waiting for Icelanders to admit they were duped by Milton Friedman in 1984.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milton_Friedman#Iceland

Friedman visited Iceland in the autumn of 1984, met with prominent Icelanders and gave a lecture at the University of Iceland on the Tyranny of the Status Quo. He participated in a lively television debate on August 31, 1984 with leading socialist intellectuals, including President Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson.[43] When they complained that a fee was charged for attending his lecture at the University and that hitherto, lectures by visiting scholars had been free-of-charge, Friedman replied that previous lectures had not been free-of-charge in a meaningful sense: Lectures always have related costs.

What mattered was whether attendees or non-attendees covered those costs. Friedman thought that it was fairer that only those who attended paid.

Friedman made a great impact on a group of young intellectuals in the Independence Party, including Davíð Oddsson who became Prime Minister in 1991 and began a radical program of monetary and fiscal stabilization, privatization, tax rate reduction (e.g., lowering the corporate income tax rate from 45% to 18%), definition of exclusive use rights in fisheries, abolition of various government funds for aiding unprofitable enterprises and liberalization of currency transfers and capital markets.

In 1975, Iceland had the 53rd freest economy in the world, while in 2004, it had the 9th freest economy, according to the Economic Freedom of the World index designed by Canada’s Fraser Institute. According to the index designed by the Heritage Foundation, Iceland as of 2008 has the 5th freest economy in the world. Davíð Oddsson was Prime Minister for thirteen and a half years, to 2004. The present Prime Minister, Geir H. Haarde supports similar policies.

Where is it now?

Insert ROTFLMAO?

12k a year for a plumber? bwahahah!

when I left the trades 5 years ago, UA Local 32 plumb/fitters were making around $42/hour, not including health and retirement.

jaonie

gigi now you know you did previously state that you were leaving this blog. So, now you are denying that? Oh boy you are as loony as your posts. We hope you will live up to your promise of leaving and quit copping out. Good luck to you on another blog that you may find more to your liking. Now, move along.

Gay Gary

gigi now you know you did previously state that you were leaving this blog.

Joanie / Jaonie - I know this is difficult to get through your state college-educated skull, but I said I was leaving this country (post inauguration), Blatherwatch is not unto itself a nation (yet).

And BTW, it may be tough for a simple schoolteacher to fathom, but one can - indeed - access the internet from foreign countries.

(Have you screamed at any Jews lately, you anti-Semite?)

jaonie

well at least we have learned that above everything else, we cannot value your word; proving that any and all future garbage from you can be taken for what it's worth, irrevelent ramblings.
Revealed for all your worth, and at your own hand.

Again?

(If but it were true, I could be so lucky.)

I don't understand why "share the wealth" is taken to be a bad thing. We do it now. The mega-rich are in the highest tax bracket there is.

If some of you saw how they live with multi-million dollar mansions, every whim catered to, ever need met by one servent or another, all the while hoarding millions more in investment instruments.

The capitalist concept of working harder and smarter to become rich breaks down once you're already obtained everything money can buy. At that point they only keep the money for the simple that that they're entitled to it. It becomes society's job to decide what they are or are not entitled to. Why are you so reluctant to assume your roles as the people who set those boundries?

Gay Gary

There should be no taxes. 100% of U.S. revenue should be derived through mandatory profit assignments from patent filers.

This results in an optional (no one has to file a patent) instead of compulsory assignment of wealth to the state and a just (patent filers receive a service, namely, the protection of intellectual property by the state's police power) instead of unjust assignment of wealth to the state.

nevets

Whats wrong Hidden, did you read the link. Look at the last paragraph, by not submitting answers to the questions, Hussein is admitting them as fact. With all the attorneys he has working for him, you would think he would have answered these simple questions.

Also, if he had nothing to hide, he would prove to the citizens of the United States once and for all by disclosing his original birth certificate. He would let the State of Hawaii open his record for scrutinty by experts. Isn't that what article 2 of the the Constitution demands by stating that the President must be "a natural-born citizen of the United States". What is so hard to understand. If you Libs let this go, what else will you let him change in the Constitution without going through the proper procedures.

Hidden

What is hard to understand, nevets, is how you hold a job.

Karen C.

None of this matters. We are not buying any of this feces thrown at Obama. Republicans have a bad ticket in a year that people are saying, why should we believe anything they say. Too many of us bought the bullshit in 2000 and 2004, and we won't be suckers any more. We don't believe what you say this time.

joanie

Wouldn't you think someone with a superior intellect (hahaha) would know that a first-grade teacher isn't posting during school hours?

Stupidity does have a way of outing itself.

I don't think steven holds down a job. I think he's been on disability ever since Nam.

And Andrew, didn't you read that Warren Buffet's tax rate is lower than his secretary's?

Someone who runs a political blog ought to be paying attention.

joanie

Hey, Andrew, I just reread your post.

You're right. Share the wealth! Not sharing it simply ties it up when it should be growing the economy. Economics 101.

nevets

Well I see another Joanie, er un-informed poster has joined in. Hi Karen. I wonder if you know that the one who brought the case of Husseins elgibility to Federal Court is a Democrat. Yes? No? or will we get silence when a tough question is asked.

nevets

Joanie, I bet you would just love to have what Buffet pays in taxes a year.

nevets

Hidden, its not hard keeping a job at Walmart. Just say high with a big smile to everyone who comes in is all it takes. Not hard to do at all. I love it.

Today as a matter of fact, I was putting a sticker on a return brought in by this nice young woman, after I noticed her wearing a McCain/Palin button I told her I just mailed my ballot in this morning and voted for them. She said right on, thats "awesome" and after a little chit chat she asked me if I thought Hussein was an Arab or Muslim. I said no, I didnt beleive he was but said hey, "If it looks like a duck, and it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, then by god it must be a ..." She made a "he he" sound then walked away with a big smile on her face to the return counter. Love working there.

Coiler

That's good, we need to keep all the crazy people contained in one location, like Wal-Mart to be rounded up later. Our plan is in place.

AuthenticAndrew

nevets, it happens to be that I might become a rich bastard because I have some secure interests which are likely to become valuable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for throwing yourself on the metaphorical muddy puddle in my path so that I may walk over you and be even more fortunate than I already am. I might give you one hundred thousandth of my worth in appreciation of your loyalty to the well off. I got to were I am in part thanks to your tax dollars which subsidized my education and the infrastructe I exploit daily, and it's only fitting that I never pay you back for that.

nevets

I dont know what you are talking about AA, but you are paying already. But at least you got something for it. 20+ years serving on the front lines of freedom. Me, what did I get, a fry cook at a McDonalds.

Kevin

I thought you were a WalMart greeter.
So, which is it Nevets. WallMart greeter or fry cook at mcdonlds?

joanie

Fry cook/walmart sticker-labeler who buys is own private health insurance which means he doesn't have any or else he's living off his Nam disability...

Are all Republicans duffman in disguise?

nevets

Walmart Greeter thank you and proud of it. You would know AA is the fry cook if you have been following along this blog for the past two years or so Kevin. He might have moved up by now, what is you do now AA?

And Joanie, is your memory going, I never claimed to have served in Nam. 1980-2003. Never said any different. And in your prime to. So sad. With the Polar Bears in the Antartic dying and now today you claimeing Okinawa was not a part of Japan. Something is wrong. You might want to check with the school nurse to make sure you are still capable to teach.

As for my health insurance, I do pay all of it. $560.00 dollars a year for me and the wife. No co-pays either. I dont know where Hussein gets that $12,000 dollar number. Maybe thats the number the price of health insurance will rise to if he is elected. So then he can say you are saving with his plan. Well you fell for his "CHANGE" sign, why not that to right.

Coiler the plumber

is there like a 12,000 dollar deductable? I would think Wal Mart would of figured out how to get into the hospital racket as well.

nevets

I see again you are keeping track of the issues Coiler. Where do you find the time.

nevets

For you Coiler, check it out for yourself. the second table for retirees.

nevets

Tricare Prime.

Kevin

That sounds like a steak at Black Angus restaurant

sparky

whoever is pretending to be joanie, you might have picked up a few key phrases she uses, but, you aren't joanie.

Coiler the plumber

Serving at the front lines of freedom, no you had a government job. I love how conservatives use idioms similar to the soviet politburo. It's a way of shutting down the conversation.

joanie

Hmmm, Steven. Thanks for the info. Here I always thought you had actually paid your dues to have the balls to tell Iraq vets what they should be thinking about Bush and the war.

Just another blowhard asking kids to die for nothing.

Sparky, I think the geography whiz kid got the message about who's posting as joanie and who's not. Seems like it took a while...

Everybody is duffman in disguise: gigi, jaonie, grace, maybe even steven...

nevets

Joanie you make no sense. Please clarify.

steve mccoy

tom leykis is great and funny - and he has always been libertarian with liberal leanings.

just listen to his recounting of how mccain tried to take him on and get him fired about 20 yrs ago in AZ, and it is no wonder that he would not like mccain.

and he has always thought GW was a tool.

so, go Tom! Take me out with a bong hit.

Senator McCain was talking at Pensacola yesterday, reminiscing his flying days; hey John, if you like flying so much - why are you such an asshole to general aviation?

nevets

"Here I always thought you had actually paid your dues to have the balls to tell Iraq vets what they should be thinking about Bush and the war."

Nevermind Joanie, I figured out what you were trying to say. Sorry to disappoint you but I am not PUTs. LOL. Maybe if you start answering some questions, he'll come back and keep you company again.
