Former KING5 newsie fired for craig's list sex ad

According to Norm! of the Las Vegas Review Journal, teevee news reporter Jeff Gradney of KTNV has Gradney_2been fired after he and his girlfriend were accused of soliciting male partners for sexual purposes on the Internet.

Gradney left King 5 News in 2005.

His Craigslist ad reproted read: “hot, intensely passionate couple looking for a cool guy to play with.”

The posting reportedly featured a pic of Gradney and his girlfriend having sex. A reader recognized Gradney from his on-air work on tv and informed the station.

Gradney had been with KTNV (the Las Vegas ABC affiliate) for three years. He had previously been with KING 5 in Seattle.

Dr. Edgar "Choch" Mañana of the University of Washington School of Broads and Broadcasting says: "Radio talent are more likely involved in these things than teevee people. They're 71% more liable to have to advertise for sex, and nobody recognizes them if they psot their pictures."

While I take issue with the accuracy of this ad copy, I think firing him was unnecessary and unreasonably prudish. Broadcasters are allowed to have private lives.

Why is this guy advertising on Craigslist when he lives in Vegas? There are 10,000 bars & clubs open in that town 24/7. If you don't know how to get laid in Vegas; you're hopeless.
