Gov. Bill Richardson endorsing Obama this morning from Portland.

Yes, yes, good news

Obama coming back in the latest Gallup poll. Now a statistical dead heat, Clinton was up 7 points 3 days ago.
Gallup says- "It is possible that Obama's aggressive efforts to diffuse the Wright story, including a major speech on the race on March 11, have been effective."

Gov. Bill Richardson endorsing Obama this morning from Portland.
Was always a Richardson supporter. Quite simply the most qualified candidate ever - just look at his resume:
2003-Present, Gov. New Mexico
1998-2001, Secy of Energy
1997-1998, UN Ambassador
1983-1997, House of Rep. (NM)
So that's Legislative, Executive, and Foreign Policy exp.
Was leaning Sen Obama (or rather against Sen Clinton), but this clinches it. The next administration needs Bill, just not that Bill.

Who cares who endorses who? How do you know if their endorsement isn't simply returning a favor or expecting of one in the future? Maybe Clinton burned Richardson. Maybe Richardson thinks he has a better shot at a cabinet position with Obama. Who knows, all I know is I'd sooner trust the endorsement of a tic attached to my ass than someone who has obvious political investments.
Posted by: AuthenticAndrew | March 21, 2008 at 01:00 PM
But you just can't discount the experience of a Richardson and hopefully he will be in the next administration. I like him also. :)
Posted by: Duffman | March 21, 2008 at 01:04 PM
We should give Duffman credit on this call. McCain operates a big tent and we can be pretty sure that he will have room for Mr Richardson in his administration.
Richardson's efforts to defeat Mrs Clinton should not go without reward.

"all I know is I'd sooner trust the endorsement of a tic attached to my ass than someone who has obvious political investments."
I'd see a grommer about that.
It's a big political investment for everyone playing this game, whether they want to hold power, or fulfill a moral obligation to make sure another smarm doesn't stink it up for eight more years.
Richardson would make a great VP. Just not Hillary's VP.

It's nice of McCain to have a big tent, because so many of our elders require memory card. He'll have lots of friends under that tent to keep him company. Maybe that nice Mr. Lieberman will join him. He was so helpful the other day, reminding McC of the dif between Al Q and Iran. Al Q blows things up. Iran has oil. They can make big money, they just don't like our dollar. Money, John, you know, the stuff you can't raise enough of?
I think Richardson has years of clear thinking left in him,.
Posted by: WenG | March 21, 2008 at 01:49 PM
I agree with Cafferty on this. Friends Of Clinton need to step up and counter this development. Friends like Biden, Edwards and/or Gore...WHERE are you guys. :)
Posted by: Duffman | March 21, 2008 at 01:55 PM
Oops, not memory card, memory care.
With Bush in Dubai next year, the NIH will finally get back to businss. Who knows? In a few years, McCain could get a new card and become ambassador to Cambodia.

Has anyone ever seen this website? It's pretty funny. Very well written. Astute observations.

Posted by: DT | March 22, 2008 at 08:32 AM
What is so astute? Explain please?
I was watching McCain on TV last night - briefly. I noticed his elbows stop at his nipples. I wonder if there is a correlation between short arms and being ethically compromised? In other words, corrupt.
Now, isn't that an astute observation, DT?
Posted by: joanie hussein for Obama | March 22, 2008 at 12:10 PM
Oh, DT, my profound apologies! Before reading carefully, I assumed you were piling on with the boys. You are correct, this site is interesting, astute and clever.
A tip-o-the-hat to ye. Thanks for the site.
I doubt, however, the boys will get it.

Do you realizt that his arms were broken on impact when his fighter crashed in norhtvietnam and he didnt get to a hospital for a week? Not tomention the arm breaking and shoulder braking in the rison. i'm sure you wouldn't want to be hateful after you know this. Seattle rad-libs are never hateful. They walk between the raindrops and butter wouldn't melt in their mouths. Their Seattle's chosen people.

Joanie
No, in fact it is a horrible 'observation.' You have really gone down a road that few want to travel on. Note no one will support you on this one. Making fun of the injuries John McCain suffered in war is reprehensible. Please stop associating yourself with Liberals. You give true Liberals a bad name. You are just a mean bully. Now be done with you!
Posted by: SeattleJew | March 22, 2008 at 01:18 PM
Oh, and tommy dearest, I heard that he gave in and betrayed his country. Is that right?
BTW, he still looks funny. You all don't care what the history is behind black/white relationships and black norms; why should I care why his arms are short? He's still funny looking.
You want a funny looking President?
Let's be consistent here, shall we?

I'm sure joanie didn't mean any disrespect to his valor to his country. Bottom-line is we sure don't need him as a clone for Bush!
Posted by: Duffman | March 22, 2008 at 01:24 PM
Disrespect? What valor? He voted for torture.
What's to respect?
Posted by: joanie hussein for Obama | March 22, 2008 at 01:41 PM
Anyone else notice how hateful Joanie has become since putting Saddams last name in her moniker> The hate is just seeping from her pores. I sure would hate to be a student of hers at this time of her life.
Posted by: nevets | March 22, 2008 at 01:42 PM
She used her E-mail address as moniker a couple of posts ago...something doesn't seem right here? :)
Posted by: Duffman | March 22, 2008 at 01:44 PM
yes, i still plan to ote for Hillary if she is nominated but bear in mind that McCAIN IS NOT the same type of "man" that Bush is. Not by a long shot. McCain, among other things did't put firecrackers in frogs anuses when he was a kid , and mock the pleas for her life of a woman he was preparing to have executed, when he was Governor of Texas.
Posted by: Tommy008 | March 22, 2008 at 01:47 PM
Joanie
I really have my doubts that we are really addressing you this past couple of hours because, although frequently on the wrong side, your arguments usually have basis.
The real joanie would know that McCain's father was an Admiral in the US Navy. McCain was offered the opportunity to be released because of it. He declined to be treated favorably at the expense of fellow captives. Because of that, he suffered four more years of torture and incarceration at the hands of the North Viet Namese. Character......
The real joanie would also know that he takes a pussy stance on torture and water boarding. He is opposed to same.
But, I Believe the real reason ms joanie has been so pissy lately is that she is pretty sure that we will have another Republican POTUS next year. Kind of hard for her to take.
Posted by: chuck, typical white person, s | March 22, 2008 at 02:23 PM
ALL RIGHT Tommy! As a vet myself I naturally have a lot of respect for Sen McCain as having served our Military in such a fashion as he did. However my comment about 'clone' of Bush's - stems from his support of 'continuing' the Iraq war. This war is wrong and should not be perpetuated period! :)

(to the tune of Poor Judd is Dead
Poor, poor McCain.
Poor, poor McCain.
He is economy-ignorant
by his own words
He loves war - a hundred years
don't shed no tears
As for the Keating Five
Please, just keep me outa jail
I'll survive
Foreign policy? Above reproach!
Iran's equipping those damn Sunnis, I say...
What you say, good-friend Joe?
Taint Al Queda? Oh, I didn't know...
And Hagee, Parsley . . . let's be three
you all know how I love thee
Little woman no longer good lookin'
like my Republican friend Newt
I'll just find me a new woman to do the cookin'
Love those lobbyists, he did
Even made room in his bid
He's the "straight-talk express"
well, when it fits his press...
Kinda changes daily along with his dress.
As for his age, he'll behave
Like Methuselah, once he's dead
the flood will be near ahead.
Poor, poor, McCain
Poor, poor America...
Anybody who watched NOW and then Bill Moyers last night knows we've little to lose. This country has fallen behind in so many ways. Jew, you're going to repeat history by becoming a Good American. You never learned the lesson. I think you use the term "Jew" in an ignorant and self-serving way to give yourself currency. But, you are counterfeit.
The rest of you personify ignorance. Nothing more. Those who give McCain - who simply followed in the footsteps of his military-and-war-loving family like an automoton - deserve no respect themselves.
Respect for getting caught up in another war of choice and then returns to do it to others? I have more respect for people who survive falling down the stairs or car crashes.
And you notice how ass-backwards Steven always defaults to the same self-serving rhetoric? Only thing McCain lovers can do.
Just like insane McCain. Just sayin...
Posted by: joanie hussein for Obama | March 22, 2008 at 02:25 PM
Now that is the joanie we all know and love.
delusional, antagonistic and just a little bit tart.
Posted by: chuck, typical white person, s | March 22, 2008 at 02:34 PM
There you go again, chuckles, thinking from your ass again.
You seem to know very little about insane McCain judging from your response to the "real" joanie. So caught up in your hate-bonding warmongering and race-baiting, you know nothing more about him. And you don't care.
You belong to that small cesspool of selfish and ignorant inhumane beings. You were once relevant but your time is over. You and the rest of your high-fivin' war-loving, soldier-hating, race-baiting, viagra-dependant buddies will be stuck away in little enclaves in northern Idaho. You can live in your gas-guzzling RV and email your grandkids in Iraq, Iran, Syria, and everywhere else in the Middle East where war-for-oil is propping up Exxon, BP, Chevron and all the other oil companies.
And your twice-voted for chimp will be laughing on his 400,000 acres in Paraguay where he will be immune from American laws and probably hobnobbing with his base - other ancient fascists. At least, he'll be with his own. Maybe he'll build a temple to granddaddy Prescott himself. Would be so fitting.
You are unbelievably ignorant. Unbelievably.

I think she's still reeling from Seattle Jew's remark...or the fruit of the vine is having it's effect. :)
Posted by: Duffman | March 22, 2008 at 02:51 PM
Now that is the joanie we all know and love. delusional, antagonistic and just a little bit tart.
And this is the chucks I so dislike. The one who sweeps facts out the door so he can keep maligning without anyone keeping score. You say nothing. The bunch of you just keep whining, spewing hate talk, mocking and never ever address issues that are so, so important to the future of this society.
You really, really are an ignorant group of white men. Puts says he loves reading about history. But, they are just words to parrot for him. He learns nothing from history. And the only history the rest of you know is that you're still crying over Viet Nam and blaming black men.
Even Jew, who one would think would have something intellectual to contribute, gets stuck in pc gear.
I think there is no hope if Obama does not win. And I'm hoping that he is for real.
Umm, for the record, I like being a little bit tart.

I am impressed that you believe the pablum that Moyers, Randi, Rachel and their ilk feed you.

We have discussed issues over and over and over. You are set in your ways. You never change your mind, nor should you have to.
The only problem is that I to, am set in my ways.
You believe that gumment is the solution to most of life's challenges. I believe that that same gumment is the cause of most of life's challenges. Gumment should be limited to what the Constitution empowered gumment to do. Uncle Sam is not my, nor my brothers nanny.

How do you know what they saying? You don't listen, do you? I thought faux news was your mother's milk of news? At least I have to change the channel occasionally or switch media...
BTW, what did you think if Chris Wallace scolding his colleagues? Oh, I guess he's become another pablum-spewing liberal. Right.
Fox’s Chris Wallace Takes Fox And Friends ‘To Task’ For ‘Two Hours Of Obama Bashing’"
And, chuckles, Insane McCain will not win. And you can gas up the climate-changing emissions-spewing gas-guzzling road-hogging vehicle and head for Hayden.

the wheels are coming off the flower painted VW Obama bus. Mr. Brotherly Love's mask has been stripped off to reveal a lying, deceitful Mr. Hate or at best, Mr. Hate Tolerator and Enabler. Oh the humanity! The evil white male may win again ! Michelle Obama makes speeches urging people to sacrifice big money for service to people, while she makes 300k in a jumped up hospital liasion job. oh the humanity! The VW 60's hippie bus is careenign off the cliff. bwahahaahah

You believe that gummint is the solution to most of life's challenges. I believe that that same gummint is the cause of most of life's challenges. Gummint should be limited to what the Constitution empowered gummint to do. Uncle Sam is not my, nor my brothers nanny.
See, you don't have a clue about issues. Or about me.
You are faux-news propagandized into sound bites and talking points. You really don't know how I think on most issues. The reason Sparky keeps trying with you guys is that she thinks she can get you to respond to issues-specific ideas. You don't have enough information on anything except broad talking points: gummint this and gummint that. What the hell does that mean?
Do you or don't you believe in regulating banks? Do you or don't you believe in regulating food production? Do you or don't you believe children should have health care? I don't effin' care who they were born to. If they have negligent parents, it's not their fault.
Do you or don't you care that kids come back from Iraq and don't get cared for? If you had watched Moyers last night, you would have seen a young vet - 27 - and what he's gone through. But you don't effin' care. So you stick with the damn corporate group that let's you feel good about your selfish - greed is good - ignorant credo. As long as the corporations keep you a prisoner of your own ignorance, they are safe and rich.
Do you know the EU has a more robust economy that we do? Do you know that Iceland and Sweden turned around their economies by going green and ridding themselves of the need for oil?
Do you listen to any media that talks to people who study things like climate, economies, safety, health, etc. Or do you just listen to the jokers who make hundreds of thousands of dollars getting you to listen to them spew corporate rhetoric all day and night and who are beholden to those same corporations for their high salaries which are dependent upon keeping you ignorant.
Do you care that your progeny have safe toys to play with?
I hate gummint in my personal life. I hate gummint in my bedroom. I hate gummint checking on my emails. Yes, I hate gummint. I voted for Gorton over Lowry. I voted for Nixon once. I grew up Republican. At some point in life, I learned to think for myself.
Unlike you, no I don't think in talking points and generalities. Unlike you, I've actually said more than once I turned Randi off. I turned Malloy off. I listen mostly to people of integrity who talk to other people of integrity and who are experts in their fields.
And, last but not least, I read. I read people who've been there and done that. I don't let Limbaugh, Hannity, Wallace, Hume, or even Moyers and Rhodes do my thinking for me. Oh I take those stupid repetitive insults that puts out repeatedly. He has nothing else to say. And tommy's racism has made me doubly suspect of his integrity and intelligence.
But, the conversation on this blog is reminiscent of a bunch of high schools adolescents one-upping each other and acting stupid. You should be better than that. You are willing to sell your great grandkids down the river rather than give credit to a black man.
DO YOU EFFIN' CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT YOURSELF?
And don't ever tell me anything about "gummint" again because you don't have a clue what it even means.
If I'm harsh, it is because of people like YOU who voted this last maniac into office out of ignorance. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF IGNORANCE. Give your grandkids a breaks, give them a chance in life, and start learning something about the issues.
BTW, I've noticed not many posters. Maybe they don't like what I'm saying. Maybe they've had enough of the conversation between you, puts, tommy, and sometimes wzzzz. I know I don't read it all anymore. Unlike Peter Pan, I grew up and took on the responsibility of becoming an informed citizen of my country.
Oh,sorry to spoil your racist fun.

I saw him give the speech last night on CSpan. (sorry, not air america, chucks. I know. You were busy watching Beck or Hannity or whatever.)
It was a good speech. I hope he leaves this Wright thing behind. We have short memories. He can overcome anything as long as he keeps sticking to his message. People want something clean again.
Anything clean.
BTW, I should have included ass-backwards in that group above. Notice, I didn't include you? I'm just not sure about you...:)
Posted by: joanie hussein for Obama | March 22, 2008 at 04:24 PM
I don't see the wheels coming off any Obama bus, if anything it is those who 'hope' he does not gain any momentum who act desperate. McCain cannot counter Barack, not while Old and Grumpy is having relapses in Middle east geography.
I notice the Obama supporters have put up with a lot of shit being flung by the opposition while maintaining a gracious attitude. That is what is winning here.
Posted by: J.Hova | March 22, 2008 at 04:44 PM
If that was directed at me, J'hova, no, it isn't winning here.
Any good liberal should remember what wins. 2004 wasn't that long ago. The swiftboating of kerry will be tried again.
You may not have the stomach for it. But, I for one, am not going to take it with grace. You can keep the gracious attitude. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on ... well, you know.
That is what is winning here.
That's nonsense.

Double Yikes, an unrepentant Joanie.
To thine own self be true.
Mighty Group Leader Chucks, maybe we could all pitch in and get her a ticket to see the Dalai Lama to heal her anger.
Why you such a hater, Joanie?
Interesting that even when J'Hova tries to extend an olive branch you proceed to lecture him.
Even more interesting that no one jumps in to defend your horrible comments about McCain. Does that not give you pause?
Just take a few breathers and relax for awhile. We can all disagree but still get along.
I'll make you a deal, I'll take a moratorium on the Skedaddle if it bothers you so much. But you need to reflect a bit about the statement on McCain. AND before you go to the gender card rest assured you have no idea what the gender is of anyone posting on this website unless you know them personally. So the fact that you call yourself Joanie or Duffman means squat to most of us in regards to gender.
