Islam's goal is "sex with children," according to new KVI talker
Last week, Bill "Willie" Cunningham told his Cincinnati listeners: "The great war of this generation's time is the war against Islamic fascists... They do not live for life, they live for death. Only through death can they believe they can be with those 72 virgins in heaven and have sex with children for eternity, which is the goal of that religion."
The execrable Michael Savage wannabe is known as "Willy" for reasons that promise to get even more obvious as his national radio career unfolds. Cunningham's inflammatory remark just happened to coincide with the roll-out by Premiere Radio Networks' (Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Dr. Laura) of his national syndication on 325 stations and XM satellite radio.
(Although PRN handles liberal talkers too, they know how to market to conservative audiences. Racism thinly dipped in a patriotically correct sugar shell of "security" really works on conservatives! The ambiguously racist remarks made by the likes of Don Imus, Limbaugh, Savage, Glenn Beck and Cunningham are calculated, and ubiquitous on right-wing radio- and gives listeners cover for their racist hearts-of-heart).
Here's an audio clip.
Why should you care? Because he's been welcomed into Seattle by Fisher Broadcasting to replace the peculiar Matt Drudge on KVI and compete with the awesome Sunday dreadnought that is the David Goldstein Show (KIRO Saturdays, Sundays, 7-10p).
Although it has been said that he's a lesbian, (See photo) Cunningham made his chops in Midwestern conservative talk radio with remarks such as these to Fox News' Alan Colmes:
In the good old days, back when AIDS was an appetite suppressant and when gay meant you were happy, back in those days there was discipline in public schools. But not today.
We need more of that old-fashioned religion, and we need more teachers beating people about the face and head, especially on the derriere. If we had more of that, believe me, we'd have less people thinking like you.
As talkers like Cunningham (whose silly name is Lumpy Giggletushie) piles up hot radio ratings with target market bigotry, bias-related incidents against Muslims have increased. In Ohio, swastikas and the phrase "white power" were spray-painted recently on a Toledo Islamic school and rocks were thrown at worshipers outside a Columbus mosque.
Anti-Moslem hate crimes and incidents have recently increased nationwide. There was a recently shot fired into a Texas mosque; a New York Muslim woman was badly beaten; arsonists torched a mosque in Northern California, and vandals slashed the tires of a Maryland Muslim activist's cars.

One has to wonder how this all came about. I guess the dumbing down of America may be irreversible. I used to have a lot of respect for the Fisher family (whatever their various names are now). Maybe they don't listen to their own stations. Maybe they leave the management to do its thing without interference or even minimal oversight as long as the profits roll in?
Just like with R-67, Americans are so dumbed down that apparently corporate greed will always be the final victor.
BTW, I liked David's show with Ari tonight. Go Edwards or Kucinich!

Am I outraged that a talk show host said something controversial and provocative? No. Many hosts do, on both sides of the aisle. They are trying to get people to react. They are trying to get calls and rating, which can be hard to do. Just ask Frank Shiers. What they do is not news. It's entertainment.
So no, I am not going to take the bait with this post topic. I'm sure many of you will. You'll claim to be outraged. I'm looking at the bigger picture. This topic is like so many others on this site, meant more to promote divisiveness and anger, than to encourage debate.
The pattern is clear on this site. It's formula. Pull back and look at the pattern. Cherry pick the most controversial statements from those hosts on the right and post about it, in order to get a reaction from his followers. It's actually ironic, because it's the exact same thing the radio hosts are trying to do.

Conservatives are racists? So many smears, so little time. I guess that's why people like Walter Williams and Larry Elder are so popular. Try again. A mirror might work.
Ken Hamblen, aka the Black Avenger, used to say that if some KKK wished to destroy blacks, there would be no more effective plan than to do exactly what libs have done with public education.
The dropout rate among blacks in the Seattle School district is 40% or so. Not too many conservatives calling the shots at the district, the office of the SPI, or the WEA.

Posted by: sparky | October 08, 2007 at 09:21 AM
Well good.
Week end infomercial talk radio is getting real old around here.
I doubt that he is as racist as B'lams post leads. That is a common left-wing tactic used to minimize the rantings of those of us on the right.
There are bigots on the left and the right. None get my ear.
So, I will give this guy a listen for a couple weeks. If he is good, I will continue. If he is bad, he will not be heard on my radio.
Posted by: chucks | October 08, 2007 at 09:44 AM
I've checked IP addresses, and that person is not God (silly name: Stinky Lizardbreath) but rather a person who's claimed in the past to be Juan Williams (Poopsie Chucklefanny).
Posted by: blathering michael | October 08, 2007 at 09:47 AM
Of coarse Poopsie Chucklefanny is not to be confused with me.

Muhammad is the exalted Prophet of Islam. He consummated his marriage to a six year old when she reached the ripe old age of nine. Her name was Ayesha. Cunningham condemned a religion that glorifies a pedophile. So, why is he the bad guy?
Posted by: mrogi | October 08, 2007 at 11:42 AM
was she 6 or 9? Jimi Hendrix would of been confused.
Posted by: coiler | October 08, 2007 at 12:16 PM
Hey FuzzNuts..where did you come up with that information? Want to toss a link our way? I just Googled "Islam" and read a whole bunch of encyclopedia entries and not one mentions a thing about pedophilia. So, please enlighten us with your source.
Posted by: LeeAnn | October 08, 2007 at 12:34 PM
Muhammad married a nine year old. That's kinda sick.
Posted by: Andrew | October 08, 2007 at 12:46 PM
We don't know, they didn't have Limbaugh or Glenn Beck etching on rocks back then. praise allah!

As Samuel Johnson stated "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundral.
This mixture of false patriotism and bigotry, has always played well in my side of the mountains in Yakima.

So was Joseph a pervert too? Since supposedly Mary was as young as 12.
Or maybe it really was a virgin birth.
Moral: You can't compare people and behaviors from 2,000 years ago when the average person did not live much beyond 40.
Posted by: ExPatBrit | October 08, 2007 at 03:10 PM
Very true.
And since this is Columbus Day, this is probably a good place to post this:
Columbus and his men also used the Taino Indians ( from Haiti) as sex slaves: it was a common reward for Columbus' men for him to present them with local women to rape. As he began exporting Taino as slaves to other parts of the world, the sex-slave trade became an important part of the business, as Columbus wrote to a friend in 1500: "A hundred castellanoes (a Spanish coin) are as easily obtained for a woman as for a farm, and it is very general and there are plenty of dealers who go about looking for girls; those from nine to ten (years old) are now in demand."

ExPatBrit says "So was Joseph a pervert too? Since supposedly Mary was as young as 12.
Moral: You can't compare people and behaviors from 2,000 years ago when the average person did not live much beyond 40. "
Maybe this Joe guy was a pervert, but for the record 12 is 25% older than 9.
Even supposing you only live to be 40, a 9 year old is still a 9 year. They're not even capable of becoming pregnant. They didn't develop any faster back then, infact they probably developed slower.
Posted by: Andrew | October 08, 2007 at 04:23 PM
Columbus Day is offensive on so many levels I don't even know where to begin.
Posted by: Andrew | October 08, 2007 at 04:24 PM
Good; then don't!
Posted by: Duffman | October 08, 2007 at 04:35 PM
http://www.faithfreedom.org/Articles/sina/ayesha.htm
The rape of a 9 year old is a heinous act of savagery no matter what calendar year it occurred. Muhammad was a scumbag and any Muslim who refuses to condemn his rape of a child is a scumbag also.

Ron Stevens: I wonder if you're aware that the quote from Johnson was probably directed at the American founders. People like George Washington and Patrick Henry.
Paul Johnson writes about the Boston Tea Party ("A History of the American People"):
"The English, or most of them, were outraged. Dr. Johnson saw the Tea Party as theft and hooliganism and produced his maxim: 'Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.'"

Aparently in Iran you can marry a nine year old with the parent's permission. They stone gays to death then go home to their nine year old wives. I'm running out of reasons not to bomb them.
Posted by: Andrew | October 08, 2007 at 04:52 PM
Andrew, thanks for that comment--it gives me guarded optimism regarding the outcome of the war on terror, war on militant Islam, or whatever it might be called. I have always said that American liberals no more want to see their great-granddaughters wearing burkas than conservatives.
Clearly, Bush has bumbled Iraq, but we lost Vietnam and still won the Cold War. There will come a time when all the left-right silliness is swept away, and we all band together to defeat a common enemy.
Posted by: wutitiz | October 08, 2007 at 05:26 PM
"Maybe this Joe guy was a pervert, but for the record 12 is 25% older than 9."
Or 33%
So Joe was a pervert but Mohammed was 25-33% worse.
By the way Abraham supposedly lived till he was 175 years old.
Would you believe it?
If you believe everything from any religious book you have some issues.

Andrew
"Aparently in Iran you can marry a nine year old with the parent's permission. They stone gays to death then go home to their nine year old wives. I'm running out of reasons not to bomb them."
Your outrage is appropriate in this case.
So let me echo Wutitiz's comment. I'll just add to the fact that if they get a nuke bomb and the ability to spread the dirty nukes around the world to their terrorist friends we'll all be in deep kimshee.
(that's a quaint term us military types use)
But great to see you come around.
Posted by: PugetSound | October 08, 2007 at 05:31 PM
a talk show host said something controversial and provocative?
Controversial and provocative? Considering some of us actually live in the twenty-first century and have left barbarism far behind (we're called liberals), that is the understatement of the year.
And anybody that thinks killing will save the world is a distant cousin of those very barbarians no matter how quaint the language in which that notion is wrapped.
Steven, you hear Randi's comparison of current events to Orwell's 1984? What was her lie today? Do tell, I'm curious.
BTW, what'sup, interesting observation that we lost Nam but won the Cold War. Use some critical thinking here: what does that tell you?

Oh dam, that means the Fairness Doctrine has to be reinstated post-haste. The only thing is that we are regressing back to the days of the Soviet Union if this actually happens - the First Amendment gets flushed down the crapper...
If the Left were really for free speech (This will be a lightning rod - but so what, here goes anyway), they would leave it alone and propose some constructive strategy to counter the Right on talk radio. (The advantage to the Left, in the mainstream media and television more than offsets it - ya think ?)

Columbus sounded like a republican. Begged money from governments to get there, got lost getting there, didn't know what to do once he was there.

Sorry Joanie, didn't have a chance to listen to her very clearly as the wife kept blabbing away about something or another. Maybe tomorrow, we'll see.

OMG, &rew, have you visited a school playground or class recently?... (not as a predator, of course)...
Tots are budding in near-infancy these days...!
BTW, DeTh...I can recognize your stagnant posts long before I see your name. Your "depth is floating on the surface.
(No white magic is this north end yet, Joans...)

You know, klueless, you are kinda funny. You talk about how liberal tv and mainstream media are but yet you don't have a clue about R-67. You have to go "research" it.
What the hell does your conservative radio talk about anyway? Ah, besides hate talk, I mean.
Speaking of constructive strategies, you might want to come up with one that will inform you occasionally.
Posted by: joanie | October 08, 2007 at 09:21 PM
I'm not "coming around", I hate Muslims for the same reason I hate conservatives, they want to impose their religion on everybody else. We have our own fair share of homophobe rednecks and child molesting clergy.

Would have liked to hear your take on the Orwell comparison, Steven.
Posted by: joanie | October 08, 2007 at 09:22 PM
Are you calling him a floater? I just spewed tea all over..hehe..
Astute observation there, coiler...hadn't thought of that.
Posted by: sparky | October 08, 2007 at 09:23 PM
You missed it, Fremont. You had to look up. Looked like a snow-filled sky but too warm, I know. It was something!
Andrew, why hate muslims? Most are good people just like most Christians and Jews are good people. Don't fall into this "hate everybody who's different" trap. America is the land where that is supposed to no longer exist . . . well, almost. Haven't we fallen so far from that pedestal that holds the Statue of Liberty, the lady who welcomes all.
We have to have more integrity than the right. It is about all we have these days.
Posted by: joanie | October 08, 2007 at 09:27 PM
Hahahah! Coil, you gotta make a book outta your pungent one-liners!
Posted by: Fremont | October 08, 2007 at 09:29 PM
I agree with the lady's on that one coiler. In spite of the snarky part, I got a good belly laugh with that.
And Andy, joanie is right on point with the hate thing. I pray on rare occasion, but preach to no one. I hate the islamoterrorist, but have tea with my Muslim neighbors. I fight with you lefty's but respect your rights and (crap, this one hurts to say) opinions. Might hate some of your lefty wallet sucking ideas, but I sure don't hate you for having them. Pretty sure my ideas are not all warm and fuzzy to you.
Posted by: chucks | October 08, 2007 at 09:45 PM
And you have no more integrity on the left than we on the right joanie.
You just wear different glasses than we and see something else.
If you think that Obama, Clinton, Gore, Edwards et al have any more integrity than Bush, Cheney, Newt, Romney etc., then you are loosing it. They are all ego-maniacal power hungry people who just disagree about how to control us all.
The left wants to do it through gummint, the right through business.
Posted by: chucks | October 08, 2007 at 09:53 PM
Ron Paul is a straight shooter but wants to abolish a lot of government as well. One of the few who say we should leave Iraq now. He will be more of a threat to the GOP than Perot ever was. I think a Paul/Kucinich ticket would throw everyone off.
Posted by: coiler | October 08, 2007 at 09:58 PM
That is another belly laugh Colier.
Can you imagine the looniest of the left, teaming up with the looniest of the right?
Couldn't be any worse than our not working together now.
lol
lol
Posted by: chucks | October 08, 2007 at 10:07 PM
Sorry, chucks. There's no contest and I'm not being naive. The Dems are more corrupt than I like but it's on record that the Republican Congress over the last twenty years hit lows the Dems could only dream about in twenty years. It took the Dems way longer the reach that level of corruption.
And I do not agree . . .it isn't the Dems who are holding up the Schip (health bill) which even the Republicans with integrity are supporting. If that's what you call equal, give me half your income and let me keep mine and we'll be "equal." Thanks very much!
And you don't have a clue about Edwards or Kucinich. Name me one Republican (except for the libertarian Paul) who is even close to them in integrity. If you think they don't have integrity, be specific. What do you know that I don't?
I think a term with Ron Paul might be kind of interesting. These are drastic times which call for drastic responses.
Posted by: joanie | October 08, 2007 at 10:08 PM
Also, what's the corrupt news on Gore? You throw words around a lot, chucks. Back 'em up, please.
Posted by: joanie | October 08, 2007 at 10:09 PM
Paul isn't looney, except for maybe his stance on the fed reserve. His label is brought upon such drag queens as Rudy and absent minded Nixon lawyers like Fred.
Posted by: coiler | October 08, 2007 at 10:14 PM
"What the hell does your conservative radio talk about anyway? Ah, besides hate talk, I mean."
Why don't you listen to one and find out, instead of pretending to know something you don't know about ?
"Speaking of constructive strategies, you might want to come up with one that will inform you occasionally."
How about applying that to yourself with regard to listening to something other than Randi "freaking" Rhodes and her ilk ?
Posted by: KS | October 08, 2007 at 10:15 PM
I gotta scoot to use somebody else's term. I have two days left of a ten day stretch without a day off.
But riddle me this. Why was algore complaining after he lost to Bush about loosing the election because of his "handlers"? Why did he become "himself" after the election. Why was he not campaigning for the office of POTUS being the man he says he is.
Maybe because he was saying or doing what he thought he had to do to win. Same thing with Clinton. She is putting up with, or kissing up to Geo Soros and kos and moveon etc to get the nomination. She will dump them and move to the middle.
Same thing Bush did to us. Catered to the right to get elected and then goes total democrat on spending and social issues.
Your party has been corrupt since Tip O'Neil and Lyndon Johnson. Not sure when mine started, but it has.
Posted by: chucks | October 08, 2007 at 10:25 PM
Hillary is in the middle already and Soros is not going to fund her nor is Kos going to worry about her. There is a difference this time around on who the progressives will support, just as it is with the right.
Posted by: coiler | October 08, 2007 at 10:37 PM
Chux, I see the Clinton scenario entirely differently than you (shocking!!) I think she is kissing the right cheek of the donkey and will moveon.org to the left if/when elected..(that's my fantasy, anyway...)
