“
The David Goldstein Show” (KIRO Sat. Sun.,7-10p)
7p: Should insurance companies have the right to screw policy holders with impunity?
With a stroke of the governor’s pen earlier this year, WA joined forty-four other states in penalizing insurance companies for “bad faith” actions such as denying claims without cause… at least, WA would have joined these other states if the insurance industry had not immediately filed a referendum seeking to overturn it. Dana Childers is the spokesperson for the Reject R-67 campaign, which is spending over $10 million of insurance industry money to invalidate the law. Sue Evans represents the Approve R-67 campaign, which is fighting to keep the law on the books. Both join me by phone.
8p: Open lines with Bill Sherman
Absentee ballots are already pouring in, so Bill Sherman, Democratic candidate for King County Prosecuting Attorney joins Goldy one last time to talk about the issues and take your calls.
9p: Republico-Fascist Awareness Night
Tomorrow, right-wing hate-monger David Horowitz kicks off Islamo-Fascist Awareness Week, and College Republicans nationwide will be joining in the festivities, apparently eager to even further diminish the GOP’s standing with their fellow young folks. University of Washington College Republican President Tom Walker will join me in the studio.

The insurance company's have been screwing us long enough. It is time for us to crawl on top and give it back.
The worst thing that can happen is that the insurance company's are forced to pay legitimate claims to the people who bought insurance policy's. The best that can come out of it is that the insurance company's are forced to pay their policy holders claims in a timely manner.
It is one of the few things those dipshits in Olympia have got right.

Hey Chucks! In case you missed the Republican debates tonight, here is a rundown :
Giuliani: "I rebuilt 9/11 with my bare hands and personally raised the children of all the fallen heroes in New York, in addition to lowering crime by 400% and giving every New Yorker a thousand dollars and a Christmas card."
Romney: "Hillary Clinton wants to give terrorists keys to the White House. In Massachusetts, I personally stopped the marriage of a man and a horse, and secured our borders by ensuring that Massachusetts remained at least one state away from any other country. Hillary Clinton wants you to abort your child even if they've already been born!"
McCain: "When I was in 'nam-- that's right, I was in 'nam as a P.O.W.-- we had Charlie all around us. Two of my buddies went down in the rice paddies of Da Nang, and I was still able to command the U.S. Navy and win World War II retroactively. Also I was in Vietnam, did you know that?"
Ron Paul: "Keep the government away from my tax dollars! What was the question again? I can't hear you because I'm farking a hundred years old."
Huckabee: "Jesus is Lord. Praise His name. Did I mention Jesus is Lord? Also, I'm changing my party from Republican to the ForJesus party."
Everyone else: "Hey assholes, we're running too. Ask us some questions!"
( willfully stolen from the front page of Daily Kos, but I thought you would get a chuckle..)

Oh, and nothing like a bit of Christian revisionism...Huckabee said tonight that the majority of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were clergymen. More false "Christian nationalist" rewriting of history. Only two signers were clergy, and one, John Witherspoon of New Jersey, was much better known as an educator, president of Princeton.
Not that this kind of correction will ever get any traction in today's "faith-based" America.

Read my lips: A-L-L P-O-L-I-T-I-C-I-A-N-S lie! Is THAT a revelation to you.

Too bad the fundigelicals don't realize that.
And, the first part was a joke, Duffman.
Posted by: sparky | October 21, 2007 at 07:55 PM
The debate's hertofore have been a joke. I will watch when it gets down to Mrs Clinton and ?
Posted by: Duffman | October 21, 2007 at 07:58 PM
That's ok sparks, Huckabee is not going to be around long.
And your kos thing was funny. I am pretty surprised that you would reference that weird assed site though.
You have a fully functional brain. I suspect you go there for humor. Last time I visited kos, I sent $500.00 to the Sheriff's campaign. They pissed me off and I in turn pissed my wife off.
Guess next time I will consult her before sending more than
$50.00. LOL

"Prediction: BM's next blog will either be what's up next on Goldy's show, or something negative about a right-of-center host."

Chucks, Kos has over 100,000 members and so the chance of finding something to piss someone off is pretty high. I go there because in the diary section it is like reading breaking news headlines...someone somewhere in the world is tuned to the news, so its one of the first places I find out when someone dies or whatever....Some of the diaries I agree with, and some make me crazy.

Sparky, why are wasting your time talking about world news? As if anybody on this blog on the right is interested in anything like "world news?"
Do you really think if it's not on faux news they even give a damn?
And for DT:
"And does it really matter if your prediction is correct? After all, Michael doesn't hide his liberal bent. Nor does he hide the fact that this blog - his blog, BTW - looks at radio from the perspective of left and right. Since this is "his blog" and it is his commentary, why would you expect otherwise? Also, it is the weekend and I would imagine he will, as usual, post something about Goldy's show.
Such an easy prediction."

Yawn . . .

Good show tonight except for the no show by Tom whatshisname. Well, expected for a Repugnant-icon.
I cannot believe what is happening in this country that we have sunk so low as to do this Islamo-fascist sort of
thing. Have we no integrity left whatsoever?

Joanie sez:
"Sparky, why are wasting your time talking about world news? As if anybody on this blog on the right is interested in anything like "world news?"

Yeah, Faux News...unlike the hard facts that comes out of Airhead America. So, have they found the 'attacker' who took out after Randi yet?
Talk about 'Faux News,' huh? LOL
The Radio Fertilizer has been all over that manure pile over there at the AirHead America operation. Shafting the Boys Club out of dough, rifting off those minority owned stations to take their stations during start up, promising employees health benefits and then coming up snake eyes, trouble paying the bills, all points to a shaky business plan that won't last....oh wait, they already went bankrupt didn't they?
Go ahead Joanie, time to skedaddle....
Posted by: PugetSound | October 22, 2007 at 05:17 AM
...and then criticize KUOW for having a 'sound' business plan...such hypocracy
Posted by: Duffman | October 22, 2007 at 05:39 AM
Umm, doffo, please correct me if I'm wrong but . . . they are still transmitting are they not? And business plan? I don't recall anybody dissing any "business plan?"
But then, this wouldn't be the first time you . . . ummm....got it wrong.
and putsie poopsie, thanks for proving my point: not one whiff of "worldliness" in anything you post. Not a whiff.
You, the radio fertilizer (another word for "manure") discuss the really important news of the world - oh, right.
