Historian and civic activist Walt Crowley, a friend of BlatherWatch, and of so many Seattleites, suffered a massive stroke last night after surgery for cancer.
Friends have gathered at the ICU at Virginia Mason.
Walt had a laryngectomy in February after return of cancer following several years of treatment.
Two weeks ago, doctors found the cancer had returned, culminating in Wednesday's surgery.
We spent the afternoon with other friends and his wife Marie McCaffrey in his room today as a parade of folks dropped in to say goodbye.

"And Duffman, here I was thinking you were Sam..."
Hi joanie...nope, not Sam; hard enough being me...hope all is well with you :o)

duff
what's the odds that joanie/coiler/merci will apologize for jumping to conclusions?
Posted by: PugetSound | September 27, 2007 at 07:10 AM
Yeah probably not too much chance; but that's Okay - was glad to see that Bla'M confirmed for me.

i agree.
chances are Slim to None, and Slim just left town that Joanie, et al will ever step up.
that whole trolling idea of sparky's is a non starter. one could imagine how long it would be before you, me, wuttitiz, chucks, and nevets would all be trolled right off the blog.

'Twas very interesting (don't you think) to see that that phony post got good 'ol 'merci' to re-appear again...he must really have it in for me. His timing was unfortunate however yet again as he continues to make a fool of himself.

Hey Duffy
Good to see you back safely.
S. America. Cool.
My wife is dragging my big ol' donkey to Guatemala and Honduras in December. She says I need new experiences. Ha, I only need warm comfortable experiences in December.
I must admit that you really pissed me off when you said the things you didn't say. LOL, I am glad I had enough doubts that it was you that I just shut my little fingers down and didn't comment.

Thanks chucks...yes it's so easy to be 'quick-on-the-draw' like that, especially towards someone that you may discount right from the get-go. Hopefully I would realize that those remarks would not come from most on this board. My trip was very 'eye-opening' to me and if I ever needed a reminder of how lucky I am to be an American living in this great area that was it. Nice to be back. :o)

Master Duff
I must agree. Very impolite to suggest you do things with a horse. He is still very upset to get bitch-slapped by one called Duff.
Hasn't Merci-Foolishness done enough harm already? He needs to spend more time thinking his actions and less time fooling with Dungeons and Dragons.
But no worry. Next time I see Merci riding around Fremont on that Vespa I will make sure to whiz all over his front wheel.

Thank you 'Star', would that be lifting your leg or squatting?
Posted by: Duffman | September 27, 2007 at 01:05 PM
Master Duff
That is a squat. I am a bitch.

Hey T008, here's your chance to 'get the scoop' (npi) on Dori. 'Star's' on board - now WHO would know more about the private life of Mr Monson.

"Next time I see Merci riding around Fremont..." Merci (MF) has never ridden around, on, over or through me! If this "Puff Duf" fest doesn't stop, I will rescind mis apologias.
