~ In honor of Sir Mix-A-Lot, a funny guy and an actual black person on KIRO last week (don't get nervous, he was
only filling in for Dave Ross) we thought we'd treat you to this comically
large butt from our new favorite site: Comically Large Things. It's a duplicate of the large vinyl fundaments used in Mixie's legendary “Baby Got Back” video.
~ Sign the end is near: Dori Monson says with his 3.9 share he's the highest-rated talk show host in Seattle. He says it and over on The Big Show.
But he's lying: Grantedm he does beat Dave Ross, Rush, Ron & Don, Michael Medved and he ran off Ron Reagan. But who doesn't he beat? KVI's Larry Elder at 3 in the mrining with his monster 10.1 share... but guess what...
(photo: Dori Monson)
~ KVI is losing its highest rated talk host! Starting Monday, KVI will no longer air The Larry Elder Show, whose brilliant 10 share at 3 ayem was nothing to snore at. Sadly, ABC Radio has discontinued Larry's syndication. "While we say good-bye to Larry Elder," writes the soppy KVI puffmeisters, "help us say hello to John Gibson!" (How can we help???? Gibson's the sack of Fox News shit who told viewers last year to "Do your duty, make more babies!" because he'd found out that nearly half of all children under the age of five in the United States are minorities. Gibson added: "You know what that means? Twenty-five years and the majority of the population is Hispanic!" We hope John gibson's daughter runs away to live in Nogales with a gangbanger named Jesus!)
~got photos? if you have photos of your favorite radio hosts- especially drunk or in compromised situations- send them along- we'll post them. The more unflattering, the better. Discretion guaranteed.
~ Which reminds us: the guy caught having sex with goats in Eatonville last week was not a certain talkhost on vay-kay last week. We contacted said host and he said he knows several goats, but only socially.
~ Scott White, the accused killer of former KIRO talk host, Mike Webb will appear this afternoon in Superior Court at 1p tentatively for a trial setting date, but anything thing could happen. Stay tuned to Blatherwatch for more details.
~
didn't take long to get a ratings break-out of KOMO's morning news
6-10a) numbers: KIRO is back to kicking their ass at the 7th spot in
the Spring ranking: KOMO is way down at 15th.

~ Distaff network hits glass wall. Mediaweek: "After two years of
building a full slate of live, female-targeted
Talk programming,
GreenStone Media is preparing to discontinue operations effective Aug.
17. Only about eight affiliates cleared the programming in mostly
mid-size and smaller markets, hardly enough to sustain the net
work."
The Seattle-based network had financial backing by such as Jane
Fonda, Rosie O'Donnell, and Gloria Steinem.
~ somebody looking for an uplift, put "what does freedom mean to children-poem" into The Google and where did that bring them? Blatherwatch, that's where. That warmed our very cockles until we saw that at the same time, someonr found our site by googling: "prison blow jobs." Maybe Michelle Malkin is right: the Internets are a sewer. (many believe Ms Malkin to be "a series of tubes)."

Why is there going to be a trial if he confessed? Don't these people watch Law and Order???
John Gibson, eh. As long as the public gets programming like that, there really will be no hope for AM radio.

Come on Bla'm
That is a crappy thing to show anybody first thing in the morning.
We know Hillary's got back, but do we need to see it?
Posted by: chucks | August 13, 2007 at 10:42 AM
Is Hillary black enough?
Posted by: Recife | August 13, 2007 at 10:54 AM
Hillary's my girl!

Really, Duf? We had no idea!
Sorry to hear about the demise of Greenstone...another good intention gone awry...
Posted by: duffman | August 13, 2007 at 11:13 AM
Duh, Duf! How did your name get under MY post?
Sparks, a confession is only valuable when it is presented as evidentiary in a trial. The good Law and Order material is written when the defense has an opportunity to invalidate the confession. It would be tedious and boring if the whole story ended with a confession.

I don't know, but wasn't her husband our first black president?

"Duh, Duf! How did your name get under MY post?"
Gee Fremont, I don't know why do you think that is? ;o)

Thank you Freemont! You are right, of course.
Just got back from a weekend over on the other side of the mountains, where it is still summer.

(LOL, Chux!) Actually. I think her husband had a tryst with the first black president...or was it the black president's first husband? Maybe Nancy Grace will know...
Yeah, Sparks, it's hard to find the juicy meat in the entrails of statutes and laws...maybe his confession was coerced by forcing him to listen to non-stop Dori Monsooning. Is that illegal?
Posted by: Fremont | August 14, 2007 at 09:23 AM
I think that would fall under "cruel and (inhumanely) unusual punishment."
