That was great! I much prefer watching her than just listening to her . . . for some reason, her delivery bothers me. But, I listen anyway. But, I like watching her better. Who knows?
That was great!

That was really great. I listen to Rachel every day. When Al left AA the only reason I didn't give up my podcasting privileges is because of her and the Young Turks. I don't agree with her all the time but I like the way she comes across.
I read or heard recently about an idea that the GOP needs to remember that anyone born after say, the late 70s early 80s is not going to have that same affinity and fondness for RR and going on and on about him isn't getting them a thing with these voters. Tying your wagon to dead Raegan only does you good if your audience remembers him or liked him.

I knew Ronald Reagan, RR was a friend of mine and Rachel let me tell you, you're NO Ronald Reagan!

yeah Brian, Goldy came on last night with more of that dog and cat food recall crapola, and I started to literally die from tedium and boredom. Luckily kvi had a racy show about Phil Spector with an author who wrote a book about him. Come on Goldy, don't ride the pet food horse to death. oops too late- you already have.

I disagree...there is more evidence that it goes beyond just dog and cat food...

BREAKING NEWS !!!!!!!!!!
French elect conservative President
msnbc.msn.com/id/18513937/
Posted by: Recife | May 06, 2007 at 11:43 AM
Very interesting, Recife. First the US, then Canada and now France. I'll watch the French experience with interest. Esp. regarding the handling of its immigrant poor.
Ån eighty-four percent turnout is pretty darn good. Somebody cares.
I think getting tough or bullying people isn't exactly the way to make things better. We'll see. :)
Posted by: joanie | May 06, 2007 at 11:59 AM
This is NOT good; we needed a socialist as France's leader to maintain equaliberium. Next thing you know France will be cooperating with the U.S. and we can't have that; after all does France really owe us anything? LIKE THEIR LIVES AND COUNTRY!!!!
Posted by: notthistime | May 06, 2007 at 12:15 PM
Just did a quick google search on income tax in France. I would pay 58% tax on my income there. Of course that's not counting VAT and all the other taxes. That would probably push it close to 70%. No wonder the young people over there are upset.
Posted by: Recife | May 06, 2007 at 12:24 PM
The young people mentioned in the article were minority youth in housing projects. Where do you get the notion they are upset about taxes? I'm curious.

Yet more data to support Duffman's claim that it (global warming) is not a Settled Science !!!
Any one know when he's due back from vacation?
Posted by: bills | May 06, 2007 at 12:42 PM
Duffy is supposed to be back at the shop tomorrow morning; flying in tonite.
Posted by: fuzznuts | May 06, 2007 at 12:51 PM
fuzz,
you'd know, wouldn't you. But why doesn't bills?
Posted by: meow | May 06, 2007 at 12:55 PM
Several of us here at the shop; don't know each's moniker and we're on different schedules.

Duffman is more than just boring and self-serving, he's in jail in Hong Kong, because he is the incestuous child molester from Washington who put pictures of him self fucking his daughter on the Web. Hope he never comes back, I stopped posting when his name was 3 in a row in the comments. Hey Bl'am, are you going to ban the daughter molester?

Bills, why do you say that? Bryson said humans could alter climate forty years ago. Now he's being vindicated. The information about carbon dioxide lagging higher temperatures is one of the issues . . . carbon dioxide is no longer lagging. At least as I understand it. That may be the human effect.
So, I don't get your reference to it not being "settled science."
I do agree a lot of people aren't convinced. But it doesn't sound like Bryson is one of them.

OK I'll allow Goldy to do more "dog and cat" stuff, but he should just do five minute updates not whole shows from now on. He already made the point the first couple of shows that Bush and his corporatist REPUG admin. is allowing companies to poison us. A lot of us have known this for a long time. I heard a sickening news story on the radio a while back about how since Bush gutted the FDA and started letting his corporate pig friends get away with stuff like self-policing their industries for hazardous chemicals, that certain American corporations and companies now import furniture that has fermaldahyde in it used as an ingredient in the manufacure process. For health protection resons, these chairs are not be allowed to be sold in Europe or even China, but now can be sold in Bush'es U.S.A Absolutely disgusting.

I'm listening to a repeat of Medved- the show after the Republican debate. Medved thinks he's such a bright boy, that he's retroactively coaching Juliani and others about how they should have answered the moderators questions. Absolutely insufferable little smartpants and Bush sycophant. Disgusting little man.

this from TPM: apparently the right thinks YouTube is biased against the right so they've created their own QubeTV. I wonder if it will be as substantive, interesting and addictive as their "hilarious" attempt at political comedy.
(Sorry, can't remember the name of the comedy show . . . guess i need to tune in more - not.)
Tommy, a friend also emailed me several articles on the pet food thing . . . going back a long time. Don't know why I didn't know about it sooner.

"..he's in jail in Hong Kong, because he is the incestuous child molester from Washington who put pictures of him self fucking his daughter on the Web.."
Wow, sig this is pretty harsh. Don't know what I could have done to make you say that...such allegations are beyond ridiculous...they're just plan wrong! If you don't care for my posts, please feel free to ignore them and I promise it wont hurt my feelings. Please mend your ways..you are forgiven.
