The MySpace page of Deryk Schlessinger, 21, the psychotic soldier-son of hard-assed national nag Dr. Laura, has been shut down by the Army, after determined to be "repulsive."
No shit.
Matthew LaPlante at The Salt Lake City Tribune (another liberal rag) writes that the page, publicly available until Friday when it disappeared from the Internet had,
"... cartoon depictions of rape, murder, torture and child molestation; photographs of soldiers with guns in their mouths; a photograph of a bound and blindfolded detainee captioned "My Sweet Little Habib"; accounts of illicit drug use; and a blog entry headlined by a series of obscenities and racial epithets."
There were cartoons of a soldier getting oral sex from a boy at knife point while his mother watches in horror, and pleads for his life. In another, according to reports, “a top-hatted man laughs as he rapes a bound and bleeding woman in front of her family.”
A blog entry on the Schlessinger site, screams, "Yes . . . FUCKING Yes!!! I LOVE MY JOB, it takes everything reckless and deviant and heathenistic and just overall bad about me and hyper focuses these traits into my job of running around this horrid place doing nasty things to people that deserve it . . . and some that don't."
With usual military public forthrightness, Army spokesman Robert Tallman told the Salt Lake Tribune, apparently with a straight face, “it may be possible that our enemies are actually behind this.”
“Our enemies are adaptive, technologically sophisticated, and truly understand the importance of the information battlespace,” he said.
Schlessinger's Web site indicated he's stationed in Kandahar,
Afghanistan, where, the site's author writes, "godless crazy people
like me," have become "a generation of apathetic killers."
It's unclear who created the cartoons, but Army spokesman Robert Tallman said the drawings "are repulsive and not anywhere near being acceptable," for a soldier's personal Web page.
The Tribune learned of the Web page earlier this week from a former schoolmate of Deryk Schlessinger. Army officials said they were unaware of the site until alerted to its presence by the newspaper Thursday.
David Accetta, public affairs director for the 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan, said the Army "will investigate thoroughly and impartially."

Laura Schlessinger's appearance in Utah last week included a visit with Army families at Fort Douglas. In an interview with The Tribune, she said, "We raised our son to be a warrior."
After her Utah visit, Schlessinger received criticism for telling The Tribune that she didn't want to hear the complaints of military wives whose husbands are deployed. "He could come back without arms, legs or eyeballs, and you're bitching?" Schlessinger said. "You're not dodging bullets, so I don't want to hear any whining."
Schlessinger later wrote on her Web site - that she was trying to communicate her belief that military spouses shouldn't complain to war-deployed family members, who have more pressing concerns. "I never whine to my son when he is able to call between missions," she wrote.

Stephanie Miller was talking about this today but she decided to wait until the military finished their investigation into whether this was really true. Not that it would surprise me if it was...isnt it interesting that those in the world who like to tell the rest of us how to live our lives are most likely to be the ones with their own poop in the sandbox...

Miller said her and Dr L were 'friendly' as least thats what I heard. I bet Leykis will thrash her some more. He had a field day back in the 90's with her. They all worked at KFI at various times.

BTW, Laura is such a fuckin' hypocrite telling women to stay home and raise their kids while she wouldn't dream of giving up her career as a "dr" in Phys Ed. giving out such sage advice.(she ignored her mother who was found rotting in her apt.after a month had passed) Get out of town bitch! and while you're at it, trim your 'hoo'. okay?

I always liked her and stuck with her for a long, long time. Much longer than she deserved.
Sorry for her son - sounds like a cry for help to me. Also, those nekkid pictures are the best revenge.
I read this on Think Progress on Sat and went straight to his blog. It was shut down and I wondered when . . . now I know I missed it by a day! Damn.

Dr. Laura Schlessinger's newspaper column is on hiatus, as they say, after a particularly bad week for the right-wing matron in which she accused military wives of being whiny crybabies and after it was revealed that her son -- a soldier in Afghanistan -- had a MySpace site filled with all manner of nasty sh**.
The news about her 21-year-old, Afghanistan-based soldier son — whose MySpace page supposedly had cartoon images of rape, murder, torture, child molestation, and more — broke on Saturday, and has since been picked up in a number of media markets. The announcement about her break followed on Sunday, though it remains unclear whether the two situations are related. She has not returned a request for comments.
