Seattle news talk stations KIRO, KVI, KTTH, KOMO, will go live and local election night, Tuesday, Nov. 7. KPTK will have syndicated live national coverage. Here's a handy guide so you can plan your night:
KVI: will start at 8p with Kirby Wilbur, John Carlson, Ken Schram and Bryan Suits and go to 11p with KOMO news reporters at all the major campaign headquarters from both radio and TV joining in as the results break.
KIRO: Tony Miner and CBS news will begin updates at 5p when the polls close on the east coast. At 7p, Dave Ross, Dori Monson, and Ron Reagan will host KIRO election night with local updates from KIRO News ; and the nationally from CBS.
KOMO: Lisa Brooks and Eric Slocum will host non-stop election coverage featuring reports by both radio and TV reporters. The Commentators (Carlson & Schram) will join them for perspective and analysis at 25 and 55 past each hour.
~
KPTK: Air America's coverage begins with Rachel Maddow's show at 3p and goes to about 10p. Maddow and David Bender will cover the national scene; with KPTK News Director Tami Kosch reporting the local election results every thirty minutes 6-10p.
~
KTTH: David Boze, Dan Sytman and Michael Medved will host and and provide comentary
starting at about 7-30p, after the east coast Sonics game.
KUOW: will begin at 5p with NPR's national coverage until 10p. Marcie Sillman will host a local election night special until 11p; then the station will go back to NPR until 1a.

Frank Shiers said he would be on that night. He is getting better but I would never expect to hear you libs say it.

Having a contrary voice at KVI might be fun, especially if this turns into a Democratic route (I still remember whent he early returns showed Gore winning FLA and hearing Carlson, Wilbur and Medved colapse on air..., those were the days). Medved and Boze would be fun, but there is only so much of Sytman's U(sp) style name calling one can take. If he grows up for a day and actually calls her Sen. Cantwell, though, that might be the best show.
For the truth I'll have KPLU on where I can get the results without spin.
Should be an interesting night. Heck, even Bush calling up his old Skulls and Bones friend Kerry for a favor hasn't moved the polls. Assuming the Democrats are even half-way competent in turnout, this could be a very fun night.

Crap, Monson on KIRO Tuesday night? Does he not do enough damage during the day?
His presence totally ruins the Hawk's pre-games, and now he's squatting over election night too.
Wouldn't he be happier at KVI? I mean really, what will it take for Entercom to put him out to pasture?

I remember listening to Bozus and Medved gleefully gloating during the 2004 results, intermittently taking calls from republicans sharing stories about how hateful, horrible liberals are.
I'm still not exactly sure what the definition of what a "conservative" and a "liberal" is in talk radio. I think it might be:
Conservative: a Christian or at least a Republican.
Liberal: a scapegoat

I heard Dave and 710DORI filling in for Reagan today . . . they were discussing Reagan's appearance on Colbert. Dave was cool but Dori of course had to utter a judgment about Ron and his comfort level when talking about his dad.
I don't like hearing Dave and Dori together. Dori sounds even more juvenile and petty when paired with Dave.
As for election night? I get tired of all the filler . . . Probably be watching CSpan if I'm home. While I respect Rachel's hosting and intelligence, her voice grates on me at times . . .

Actually, that is a good idea. Why not put Dori on KTTH in the drive slot post Medved against Suits. And he can do the Sonics pre-game. We get him out of the Seahawks games (where, I agree, he is a big drag), puts him where he belongs, and he will probably do well against suits. Then Move RR to the full noon to 3p gig against Medved and Hannity.
I give you the smartest thing that Entercom could do. So they probably won't.

Rachel Maddow and a few others have mentioned that the saddam verdict will come down Sunday, just in time for Bushler to effect an outcome in the polls

I find it stunning and amazing how stupid and ignorant some of you think most voters are.

Ryder, regarding "stupid and ignorant", I'd say 2004 proved you wrong.
Conservatives have to get the voters who aren't "most voters." Especially this year.

JDB, you have my vote for having the best "strategery".
Put Monson on the Sonic pre-games, them ship them all to Oklahoma......The Sooners the betters.
