We're proud to announce that we've won our first award ever. It's the Northwest Progressive Institute's 2005 Neiwert for "Best Monitoring of Right Wing Media."
Since there's no one else around here monitoring the moonbats in a concentrated effort, we're pretty sure the éminences grises of The Institute were pretty much forced to bestow this on us, despite that our site was recently described as looking like a "typewriter vomited all over the page."
(Unless some one else comes up with a local right-wing watch site like this, looks like we'll have a lock on this sucker, although we're eying that humor award and the one that recognizes the most improved grammar).
The Northwest Progressive Institute is an liberal umbrella organization for progressive blogs, and activists. It's done the Lord's Work fighting I-912, Tim Eyman, and electing Democrats.
Although we were shooting for a Hogwart, or a Golden Lichee, BlatherWatch has won bupkus before this honor came out of, er, left field. It's named for David Neiwert (who's not dead, BTW) a real writer and investigative journalist whose blog Orcinus is one of the best written and researched in the land.
Thank you, thank-you and congrats to the other winners.

That really stinks! Miranda's blog is the best!

Good job, Bla'M! Since you so deeply covet the 2006 blogrammar award, please tell us how to pronounce Orcinus.

Is it true?, Was Double R actually

Oh my God, Michael! Pate? Procaccino? Ryder? OH MY GOD!
So where's Hartmann, hmmmm? He's totally taken over the morning slot for me! Also, Franken has won me over for the Dave Ross spot since Dave's been gone. Yeah, I'll be back for Dave! But, really! Right now Franken is interviewing George Packer of Assasins' Gate fame. He gets some great guests. He's on Seattle radio - even if it is national.
Your conservative line up is fine . . . but PATE, RYDER AND PROCACCINO? Let's get real! You might as well add NY Vinnies name to this list!

I thought I saw a post here a couple of hours ago by DM that said KIRO was changing to a more "balanced" format, including Limbaugh in the 9:00 to noon slot.
Maybe it was just a nightmare.
