Allan has sent this out from his bunker in suburban Seattle. BlatherWatch will be at the barricades to blog this potentially vivid confrontation at the very shirt tails of the First Amendment.

Take a lesson from the big boys ala engadget.com for a good, easy to real layout.

I'll think about it asf, if you'll review your spelling before you post, it looks like the product of a Bible college education...

ahh, always the sign of weakness to attack spelling mistakes rather than the actual message.
If all you had was a big circle jerk of liberals on this board, it would be the most boring thing around.
You should be thankful for any and all clicks you can get.

But then, nothing kills your credibility faster than spelling errors.
You wouldn't do it on a resume, why would you do it here in public?
Posted by: Trip | October 10, 2005 at 11:02 AM
That wasn't a spelling error: he was Writing In Tongues.
Posted by: David | October 10, 2005 at 11:14 AM
hmmm...I don't see any spelling errors - the message was completely legible to me. Where did all these hyper-critical people come from?
Anyway - I hope lots of Allan Prell supporters support him on Wednesday!!

Trip sez "You wouldn't do it on a resume, why would you do it here in public?"
Who wouldn't do it on a resumae?

I suppose if one is visually-challenged and unable to decipher to content/layout of a blog, they are free to take a pass, right? I admit I had to study it for a few minutes but after that, no biggee, no problem. AFter all, it's the content, right? Back to Allan, I hope to be there on Wednesday. Hop into my SUV (**shudder**),leave my suburban eastside enclave, stop at a drive-thru espresso stand, and join what I believe WILL be a diverse and appreciative group of Allan Prell listeners. Looking forward to it and hope it works out with my schedule.

You know, it just might be worth a good laugh to drive by their eastlake studios just to see the likes of Deborah and all 10-20 of Prell's listners making public asses out of themselves. I do have one question for anybody stupid enough to show up. What could you possibly imagine that would make this unbelievable waste of time worth it? I'll bet the KIRO management will be sitting inside laughing at you just like they did when a few "protested" Pat Cashman being fired from the Buzz a few years ago.
Posted by: Peaklimiter | October 10, 2005 at 08:24 PM
Pat Cashman was 100,000 times more well known and popular in Seattle than Prell...yet nobody cares Cashman after his firing.
Posted by: umo | October 10, 2005 at 09:27 PM
I'd go there if I didn't have to work! It's just what Allan says, it is, it's silly and KIRO has long forgotten how to have fun.

1090 and 710:
Eternally Stuck Below 4 Shares 12+ and No End in Sight...
...KIRO will never rise again to 5-6 shares 12+ until they stop their recent increased emphasis on lifestyle talk...
Political talk sells with controversial issues sells...like KVI/Seattle, KGO/San Francisco...
...KPTK (Air America) will never get above 2 shares until they add a local show...and they will never do well anyway do to their signal pattern...which is inferior (esp. at night) to the patterns of KIRO, KVI, KTTH, KOMO...
Posted by: KING1090 | October 10, 2005 at 11:14 PM
Hm...I thought KIRO was (still) rated higher than KVI even though they suck lately.
Posted by: cpk | October 11, 2005 at 01:00 AM
Peaklimiter.......You need to
LIGHTEN UP a little, methinks. Undoubtedly not much would come of a protest outside of KIRO. Of course they will probably be sitting there laughing. I don't think anyone thinks it would mean the return of the Allan Prell Show. It is simply a way to make an opinion known and feel good about it afterwards. Nothing unusual about that and it is the American way, right? This is the problem with too many pseudo-intellectuals (and dare I say Seattle is full of them). They take themselves and life too seriously and can't share a laugh or two or laugh at themselves. This is what his was all about. And KIRO should be reminded. Sorry some people didn't get it. Deborah

Would love to hear from someone who went to KIRO.
Details anyone??
Posted by: debbie | October 12, 2005 at 01:48 PM
10-15 people for about 10 minutes.
I will resist the urge to say not even enough people showed up to clean Allan's wallet out of 5 dollar bills for showing up. And one sign.."no justice"
Allan Prell is so done in Seattle.
Posted by: PeakLimiter | October 12, 2005 at 02:39 PM
10-15 people sounds about right.

The biggest problem I think is that most uf Allan's listeners listen while they are at work, and were not able to attend a mid-day protest. I also feel that most of us don't have the time to call in while we are working. I enjoyed Allan's show for what it was, ENTERTAINMENT. I enjoyed it enough to actually investigate why he was not on the air!

Allan, although entertaining and intelligent, lacked common sense when it came to separating his ideology from reality. I called for his firing after his callus remarks during the Katrina disaster. Here's the transcript I sent to KIRO on that date...
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Dear Allan...
I turned on the radio for just a second and for some unknown, unbelievable reason you we're now shifting your blame to the 50% of Americans who voted for Bush. Now that's what I call leadership!
Last week I wrote to a bay area dj about the New Orleans disaster...
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Hey Phil...
I was born there... It breaks my heart to see what's happened and the Hell people have been put through... My prayers go out to them... What angers me is some people have tried to turn this into a political blame game instead of working for a solution...
Your friend...
Joe
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
And he wrote back...
I'm with you. Extremists and idealogs always show their true colors when the chips are down. NOLA needs salvation and recovery, not finger pointing. There will be plenty of time later to determine what should have been done differently.
Phil
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Here's a copy of an email to my uncle in Georgia who's also from New Orleans...
My heart has been shattered by the shear magnitude of this disaster, but before you point the finger at Bush, remember this didn't just happen overnight. All the same pieces were in place during the Clinton administration as well as every administration before it. There is plenty of blame to be passed around.
Don't forget the Governor of Louisiana didn't immediately call for the feds and didn't have the worse case scenario in place before the Katrina hit. But no one could have envisioned this. No one remembers Galveston and many of the people who for what ever reason didn't get out of there are un-educated and poor. If the feds had been called and stepped in and forcefully evacuated New Orleans, you would have heard the ACLU screaming about how their civil rights were being violated.
New Orleans is not alone! We, up here in Seattle, have a viaduct similar to the one that collapsed in the bay area, yet we can't agree on a method for paying to have it replaced. It's just a matter of time before the thing falls down, then the finger pointing will begin, but the real blame will fall on us and our local lack of leadership.
In the big picture, you have to step back and look at how vulnerable we all are and how small we really are. Up here, in the Northwest, we have earthquakes and a couple of big bad volcanoes. If Mt Rainier goes, you can kiss a large portion of western Washington goodbye. California has earthquakes, almost everyday. The Midwest has tornados.
These natural disasters will always happen, but real blame for the bigger disaster that happened after the levee breached in New Orleans lies at the feet of the local politicians, the citizens of New Orleans and the ACLU.
You can lead a horse to water, but can't make him drink.
Joe
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Judging by your poll, most people who listen to your show are morons.
I am not a right wing zealot, but the left wing idealogs (like you) who blame Bush and now those who voted for him for everything under the sun have left me speechless and nauseated.
How simple a world you live in. If something bad happens, blame Bush and now... those who voted for him.
