KVI’s radio ran gavel to gobble coverage (they could only stand it until lunchtime) of the trial in Wenatchee today of the Republicans’ attempt to undo the November election.
It was so boring, you could hear the Arbitrons whizzing off into the ether on their way to a planets where the inhabitants speak in sentences rather than paragraphs.
I have to admit, KVI did the right thing by switching back to syndicate programming, even the blow-dried Tony Snow seems interesting compared to the droning Republican lawyers. It augmented blatherWatch’s long-held position: boyoboy, is this shit boring!
We echo horsesass’ opinion: it’ll sure be nice to have this over with and we can stop feeling guilty about not reporting every legal dot & tiddle as they leak out.
So blatherWatch relies on the kindness of trustworthy liberals who have the patience and focus on this stuff like TJ at Also Also has who has made a cool summation of the issues leading up to the trial from the MSM & the blogosphere and is also also updating the courtroom proceedings as they go along.
Listen to Goldy from horsesass.org in the lion’s den, Mon.-Wed. at 3:15 on the John Carlson Show (KVI m-f, 3-6p) debating Republican activist Stefan “Jaws” Sharkansky if Stefan will actually dare step into the ring with Goldy. He’s managed to avoid it so far, but Goldy may have him cornered this time...it’ll definitely be great radie-yo.
Pacific NW Portal has an excellent compendium on the trials and tribulations that includes timeline, a, an overview, analysis and links.
While the minutia of the case bores the shit out of blatherWatch, we realize this has political implications that will echo for years. The appearance of the election, manufactured and amplified by talk radio and Republican blogs is not good for Gov. Gregoire.
They’ve dishonestly painted a picture of election fraud and corruption that resounds with what too many people want to believe about politicians and government. In this day and age when appearances are reality, Gov. Gregoire has a problem.
We’re counting on fair and impartial judicial decisions free from the harsh typhoons whipped up by Republican wind machines.
But we’re different than conservatives--we’ll accept the decision no matter if we agree with it or not.

"we’ll accept the decision no matter if we agree with it or not".
Sure you will, just like Bush V. Gore.

Just because GOP balloon juicers are saying it, doesn't mean it ain't so.
"They’ve dishonestly painted a picture of election fraud..."
botherWatch doesn't like the messengers, so the message is corrupted?
I thought you tout yourself as reasonable.

Heh. Interesting way of looking at it. Goldy is an intellectual flyweight, and HW Shark will KO him.
Goldy isn't in the same class with Shark, so I understand why he never wanted to debate him. Why wrestle a flea?
